The Hohneck, a Vosges summit located on the border of Alsace and Lorraine, reaches an altitude of 1363 metres. It is a real paradise for hikers who particularly appreciate the "sentier des Roches" and its multitude of remarkable viewpoints on the Vosges massif, the Black Forest and the Alsace plain. This trail presents some difficulties and requires stamina and a good workout as it climbs the slopes of the Hohneck to its summit. If you have chosen a hotel at the foot of the Hohneck, you can join the sentier des Roches from the Col de la Schlucht or prefer a longer and more difficult hike from Metzeral. This route forms a loop around the Hohneck and allows you to discover six Vosges lakes and beautiful waterfalls. In winter and summer, don't miss Gérardmer, a charming little town with a family atmosphere located on the edge of a lake in the heart of the Vosges mountains, which offers many sporting and cultural activities throughout the year.
