This overnight stay was a very unpleasant experience. We thought that at 107 euros for room only it would be nice. Wrong!! Early January,freezing, minus 2degrees. Arrival time permitted 17.30. We arrived 16.30 & begged the lady to be allowed in, we were so cold. We were told quite rudely to go away & return later. We sat in the icy/snowy car park along with another single man also waiting. There was nowhere else to go. The hotel was empty, we were the only 3 guests! When allowed in the only formality was “ Name? Here’s your key” Surely she could have done that an hour ago? A very unfriendly attitude.
There was no heating anywhere in the entire hotel ( 2 buildings, one for bedrooms another reception & restaurant ) There was an electric heater in our room.
The reception area was as cold inside as it was outside.I asked if the heating was broken, was told no but it’s freezing & the cold comes under the door so no point in putting heating on!! We did not understand this logic, it was sub zero degrees! She said “ don’t worry you don’t have to sleep in reception “
I wanted a bath to get warm, no plug so asked for one. No, the bath is only for showers not for bathing. Our freezing corridor was in darkness & had to find our room using the light from our phone.
The meal was good, accept my Charolais beef was so tough, but the rest was nice but the restaurant was so cold, we were shivering.
We took blankets from our car to pile on the bed.
We left early in the morning in icy conditions to find a warm cafe for breakfast. I appreciate heating is expensive but this really was unacceptable for 107 euros.
Such a shame, we have had so many very happy stays in Logis hotels but this one was a major disappointment.

We booked by chance, and what lovely surprises. The welcoming and friendly welcome, the excellent dinner in a beautiful room, the well-stocked breakfast, the pleasantly decorated room. We will come back for sure.
With a big motorbike, access from Digoin is not practical, otherwise we eat really well with a very warm welcome.
My worst experience in a French member hotel of the Logis de France group! As a sales representative, I had booked a business stay (dinner, overnight stay, breakfast) for €122.00. At around 7:00 p.m. I informed the hotel by phone that I would be driving 300 km from Limoges and, according to the GPS, would arrive around 8:15 p.m. The boss, Ms. Le Blauch, said that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. at the end of the tourist season. As usual in such cases, I asked her to simply prepare my dinner and, if necessary, heat it up when I arrived, which she refused. The next unpleasant surprise came when I arrived at the hotel: without showing me my room number 34 or giving me any details about it, she demanded an immediate payment of €117.90 for bed and breakfast. I was very surprised that the price difference was only €4.10 compared to the original booking as a business stay (€122.00). I didn't get dinner after all! The lady rejected my objection with flimsy explanations. I would also like to mention that there were hardly any hotel guests that night from August 30th to 31st, 2023. Why did the lady give me a large, expensive family room (ugly at that) even though I was a solo traveler? This will remain a mystery forever... Conclusion: never stay in this hotel again!!!
