Restaurant les Minotiers

The hotel is very well situated for the medieval city centre. We came for the well known Monday market, which is very large and busy. There are many excellent restaurants. My only criticism was the bath. The bathroom is the most risky place for accidents. Elderly people prefer a walk-in shower, with a none-slip floor, rather than a bath which has to be climbed into. When wet the floor of the bath was very slippery and there was no wall handle to steady oneself while getting in and out. I find this is a frequent oversight at hotels: sometimes we resort to putting a hand-towel to stand on; or provide our own bathmat. Another small, often overlooked problem is the hand-wash basin, which is often too small to wash ones hair. In this case the basin was larger, but the centrally placed tap meant hitting ones head when when washing. A side placed or swivel tap would be better. We never wash our hair under the shower as with soap in the eyes and a slippery floor this only makes the risk of accident much greater. These are points which architects and designers of hotels do not take full cognisance of when planning hotels. Other safety features are excellently dealt with, as required by law, but safety in bathrooms seems to be not duly considered.

We had a very comfortable stay. The receptionist was very friendly. He showed us to our room and to the electric car charging station, if available. The room was very spacious with everything we needed, including a kettle with coffee and tea. The bathroom was also very spacious. The only downside is that the bathtub is quite high, which might be a bit dangerous for older people. Something to keep in mind. The breakfast was very good: savory, sweet, and even gluten-free options. Highly recommended.

Everything went very well, both at the Hotel Les Minotiers and the restaurant of the same name. It offers excellent value for money. Furthermore, the welcome is warm and the service is very attentive.

The only downside was that we had asked for a restaurant reservation, but it is closed on Friday evenings; they should have told us before our arrival.

It's always a pleasure to stay at Les Minotiers. The breakfast with homemade jams, the excellent restaurant, the large and comfortable room. The new owners have managed to maintain the excellence of this place. Just a stone's throw from the main square of Mrepoix.

New management and continued high quality. Special mention to the chef, not forgetting the ever-friendly and attentive service team. I left my jacket in my room, but I was able to retrieve it; thank you very much to the housekeeping and reception staff for returning it to a relative.

De passage à Mirepoix pour une nuit, nous avons reçu un très bon accueil à l’hôtel « Les Minotiers ». Nous avons pu sécuriser nos vélos. Notre chambre était grande, bien équipée, avec un lit très confortable. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux et varié. Un bonus pour les confitures maison (mirabelles, fraises et figues). Un excellent rapport qualité/prix !

It was the village festival. The hotel could have specified this when booking, as the experience is not at all the same with the noise of the revelers and the attractions in all the streets of the medieval part. The welcome was minimal, the restaurant service efficient but rushed, and the breakfast without local products. The room was comfortable but in a separate building, without prior warning.

We arrived pretty late into the evening to a beautiful building and kind, accommodating staff. Quiet scenery and blissfully comfortable beds led to a very good night's sleep. Excellent value for money and I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic welcome to the region!

A very spacious room and a very large bed for this overnight stopover which was very relaxing and peaceful. Decent breakfast. The decor is a bit dated but that didn't detract from our decision to stay at this hotel.

As usual, I only come here when I'm traveling in the region. In fact, I'm coming back next week.

We were looking for a hotel near Mirepoix or in the surrounding area. We are often guests at Logis Hotels and we opted for the Hôtel des Minotiers.

Really a very nice hotel. Everything is right, very friendly people, great clean room with good bed. The dinner was really very tasty, as was the breakfast which was very extensive and of good quality. Also a spacious private parking.

The location of the hotel is good. The services however could be better. The rooms are clean but quite basic with dated decorations. Very few staff on site. They close for siesta. Guests advised to use alternative access to enter the property. Excellent parking. Hotel in the centre of mirepoix.

Love this hotel The rooms are not fancy but they are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant is wonderful. The staff, everyone, is super nice and helpful. This hotel is a great value. This is my go to hotel each time I am in the area.

We had specifically requested a very quiet room and we repeated our request upon arrival. The hotel was almost empty but we were given the room....right above the restaurant! The noise of the chairs being moved during and after the meal is infernal, no way to sleep until very late at night. Too bad because overall the soundproofing between rooms seems very good.

A good stopover for both the food and the hotel, in this small town that is absolutely worth a visit. Perfect welcome and service.

This is the 5th time we have come to this hotel and its restaurant: never disappointed, the quality is always there.

Increase security by making access when hotel unmanned only by coded lock at top of stairs of fire escape. At present, anybody can gain access day or night to guest rooms. 24 Hour reception would be safest. Potential liability for poor security is quite significant in this day and age quite apart from the bad publicity.

Excellent hotel. Superb location, pleasant staff. Food is amazing. Large room with kettle. Good bathroom. NO WORKING AIRCON although this is specified in details on website. Yes it was October, yes it was not warm outside, but we DON'T SLEEP OUTSIDE, and the room was v hot. Luckily we we always bring a fan as French hotels never provide the promised aircon.

The hotel is close to the center of the beautiful old town, and the price-performance ratio is very good. Overall, everyone was very accommodating and friendly, and some even spoke German. I would be happy to come back again, for a longer stay.
