We chose this hotel for its proximity to Le Puy du Fou and were very pleased with our choice. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Being able to leave our bags there before checking in was very useful.

Room pretty basic. Bathroom wasnt very special.
Bar was beautiful but lacked atmosphere...
If it was £200 including breakfast that would be a good price and a more positive review.
My stay was £300 by the time id paid for breakfast etc.

The city hotel is not a 3 star hotel, no welcome tray, no water, no fridge, a plastic shower curtain, faulty wifi, as well as the air conditioning.

I had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel! The welcome was warm upon our arrival, with attentive, smiling staff always available to meet our needs. The room was spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated, offering all the necessary comfort for a stay. A big thank you to the entire team who helped make this stay unforgettable. I recommend this hotel without hesitation and I will come back with great pleasure!

The rooms are perfect for a short stay, and very clean. The facilities are very good, the pool is great, heated, perfect for cooling off and relaxing upon arrival. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Ample free parking in front of the rooms. And a magnificent estate. The only downside is the breakfast at €15 per person, really very basic (no yogurts, no hot eggs, no muesli, two basic jams: strawberry and apricot). Sufficient in itself but not worth the price and it is clearly not what you would expect with the setting.

Very bad experience at the Relais du Boisniard. We arrived during breakfast hours. The selection offered was as promised. We were told that there was nothing left at that time. We asked for a refund for our breakfast, which was accepted by our contact. So we left breakfast without eating. It was at checkout that we were told that we would not be refunded because we had prepaid for breakfast. Lack of alignment between the teams. Deplorable sales service for this experience.

Very nice establishment, arrived very late but everything was available!

Great hotel, being able to access your room even if reception is closed is great. Everything is well explained in advance. I recommend this hotel.

The whole place is beautifully presented. It is a genuine gem in the middle of the countryside

The swimming pool is amazing too. Must be new as there are no pictures on the websites. That was an exciting surprise.

Only a couple of things to mention :
You should make more of the kitchen and run a restaurant as we had to go to one of the good local restaurants but would have far preferred to have ‘eaten in’.

Also, more hooks and hanging rails for towels please.

Last words - Fantastic part of the world and this place is absolutely ideal for access to the Puy du Feu - another incredible experience!…

I would have ranked this hitel zero stars if it was possible. The air conditioning was not working at all and the water evacuation in the bathroom was not working properly which was really unpleasant. The price was way too high for quality proposed.

A very pleasant setting, but no one to greet you, which is a bit confusing. The phone numbers didn't work when we arrived (the one displayed and the one on the website). Otherwise, the room location was very, very good!

No one at reception to give us the key, day off? Supposedly a text message had been sent to us to tell us where to find the key. Nothing received. A number to call in case of problem. The phone that rings is in front of me but no one to answer! No catering even though the information gave two ?????? To sum up: a team of amateurs. Too bad they have a captive clientele, thanks to Puy du Fou. One probably explains this

Modern, clean, quiet hotel. Spacious and very clean rooms. Access and night check-in were very easy. We would have appreciated a small bottle of water with the 35-degree heat during the day; we arrived at night without water; it's an important detail.

Well-kept hotel and comfortable room

Welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean room and cleaning every day. On the other hand, the breakfasts are a real disaster for the price? One day at 8:30 a.m. no more bread? The following days a simple baguette drop by drop. There should be assortments of different breads, I am very surprised for France. Only one day soft-boiled eggs. Impossible to make a fried egg. Nothing fruit, then the next day three not very fresh fruits. A hotel worthy of the name must implement quality breakfasts. Avoid unless you are looking to have breakfast elsewhere.

Quiet location close to Puy du Fou, perfect.

Very good location, 5 minutes from Puy du Fou. Excellent value for money, beautiful room, very beautiful exterior. The quality of the staff, especially the manager, leaves something to be desired, lacking experience and professionalism compared to the location and the establishment's services.

Hotel booked for a day spent at Puy du Fou due to its proximity to the park. I was very pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the hotel staff in organizing and running my stay. The establishment is pleasant and the room spacious and comfortable. The value for money is very good. I recommend this establishment.

Large comfortable room with good facilities

Nice rooms, conveniently located close to Puy du Fou, beautiful and quiet environment.

We were unable to come due to a very serious operation, we contacted the hotel reception staff who initially told us that with what had happened to us we could have a room later by giving a date unfortunately no effort was made to meet their promises and proposals that the reception had made to us to quickly change by telling us that it was no longer possible to our great surprise we were very disappointed by their lack of effort and understanding.

Very clean hotel, excellent bedding, very well received

The room lacks a bedside lamp for dim lighting. It's a shame there wasn't a buffet-style evening meal. The cold meat platter served was good.

Everything is perfect. Just a note about the breakfast, which could be a little more complete for €15, even if the products offered are very good.

I gave the accommodation 3 stars only because there is a missing lamp at the bedside so I can't turn on the ceiling light. If this changes, I will give it all the stars.

Perfect 🤩 we had a wonderful night in this lovely Relais. We stayed there to be close to Puy du Fou. The small kitchenette and parking spaces were a great advantage. We'll be back.

Breakfast at €15/adult is still expensive given the diversity of the buffet. No fresh fruit, no pancakes, no yogurt, no scrambled eggs, etc. The child rate is for children under 7 years old, otherwise it's the adult rate! It's excessive! Otherwise, the quadruple rooms were very spacious with a separate toilet and a kitchenette area with a very practical fridge.

We were unable to open the "free access" room because the badge didn't work. No one answered the emergency call, so no one was on call. Desperate and with two young children, we had to walk home (2.5 hours) to avoid sleeping outside. We are very disappointed, especially since after leaving messages, no one called us back the next day to apologize...

Very expensive breakfast, especially considering the limited selection. The TV had few channels working, and not the ones we wanted to watch. Disappointing!!

I just have two comments to make about the dinner menu and breakfast. For dinner, when booking, I would have liked to reserve for 8 p.m. We were told that it was not possible, it was full. We were offered 7 p.m., which we accepted because after a day at Puy du Fou, we would rather stay there, especially with 2 children and at that time we were not very hungry. When we arrived, we found that the restaurant was quite empty and we stayed alone in the restaurant until 7:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. when we left, there were still free tables. Then for the choice of the menu there is very little choice only 2 dishes while the children's menu fun only choice which for children it may not please the chef offered to make a starter with three small balls puree / duck which is a starter on the adult menu and for my granddaughter she had a dish with salmon adult menu dish also really too bad that there are not some additional dishes on the menu as well for adults or children because with the drinks the bill was more than 122 euros we find the bill a little salty for the very little choice offered which we do not mind paying if the menu is worth it. For breakfast nothing to say about the choice offered everyone can find their happiness to compose their breakfast. But I drink green tea while there was only simple Lipton tea I asked if I could have a bag of green tea a box was under the box of Lipton tea I said great!! I was simply told that they were not offered because they were more expensive (Richard tea) so I was very shocked and surprised by this response because a breakfast for more than 15 euros!!' I have had breakfasts in other hotels that were equivalent and much cheaper and Richard tea, moreover the person saw that I was shocked by the response and told me it's not a problem, take it... thank you for this gift!! It's a shame that this first time these two incidents tarnish our choice of your hotel

We had a pleasant stay, the hotel is very well located in the middle of nature and 10 minutes from Puy du Fou. Pleasant and friendly staff, spacious and very clean rooms, generous breakfasts in a very pretty setting. I recommend it and I will certainly come back. A big plus: for a late arrival, the handover of the keys is well organized and explained.

On April 26th, we booked a room for three people at the Cit'Hotel Relais du Boisniard. We arrived at the hotel around 11 p.m. and were unable to check into our room because the key didn't work. We called the emergency number provided several times without success. Other guests have found themselves in the same situation. Fortunately, a young man intervened to unlock the door, which we couldn't close. We checked into our room after 40 minutes. The next morning, we were unpleasantly surprised by the breakfast: the coffee machine was broken, and there was very little food, no more towels, and no orange juice. Our stay at your establishment did not meet our expectations despite the goodwill of your staff. The rate paid does not correspond to the quality of the service.

In 2025, not having Wi-Fi in the room, especially when there is no connection, is very disappointing. Otherwise, the rest was good.

Perfect and very clean

- arrival was easy, the information was sent to me by text message in the afternoon - the room is clean even if the tiling on the bedroom side is not the most pleasant - the wifi did not work - the TV is small and only allowed you to watch a few channels and not the whole of TNT (not TF1 or M6) - the breakfast was not up to the price (15€ per adult and 10€ per child even 3 years old): the orange juice had turned (it stinged and did not taste of orange), the fromage blanc tasted like goat's cheese and not cow's cheese (it must have turned too), the hard-boiled eggs, once peeled, had a yellow/orange color...

A disaster. A night out with the child. No reception. No on-call service. A horrible way to start the weekend. Never again.

I arrived at the beginning of April 2025 in a "cold" room (No. 18 about 14/15 degrees around 6:00 p.m.) with a reversible air conditioning unit that was not working). The reception was notified after 5 minutes of various attempts without result, and the reception promised to send someone to fix the problem. 40 minutes later still no one, returned to the reception and requested a change of room (No. 10) because after testing the air conditioning was indeed HS; OUF the reversible air conditioning works in the new room but still with a cold room at start-up. I managed to have about 20 degrees around 9:30 p.m. The next morning breakfast taken around 7:40 a.m. for an opening at 7:30 a.m.; I have a coffee (no staff in the room and self-service) and look for something to eat, but I don't find much, so I head to reception, where I'm told that there has been a problem and that the hotel hasn't been delivered... OK so no pastries, no bread either, there's only the heel of an industrial brioche left (which was devoured by the few guests before). I ask for bread from the day before, there isn't any either, nor rusks, .... in short, cereals or cereals (or ham with butter alone) No goodwill gesture, breakfast charged at full price, excuses which is already a good start. In summary, a good welcome with smiling and polite staff, but no service. I wish you "good luck" for the future ;(

Very pleasant hotel with family room, quiet, and 10 minutes by car from Puy du Fou. Only downside, the price of breakfast is too high.

Perfect facilities, impeccable bedding, quiet and silent at night. Just missing a socket on one side of the double bed, now everyone has their mobile and other equipment to recharge.

Superb hotel we will return with great pleasure, lack of a light in the bathroom but otherwise everything is perfect

J'ai déjà laissé un avis sur papier, mais c'était notre deuxième année au Boisniard, nous sommes toujours aussi ravis. Nous avions tester une cabane au chateau l'année dernière et cette fois ci le relais, qui pour nous, mérité plus que 3 étoiles.
La propreté des chambres est irréprochable, ainsi que le service 24h/24h et les installations.
Nous reviendrons !

A hotel 9 minutes from Puy du Fou, a very beautiful hotel. The decoration is superb, a very big positive point is the staff: very smiling and attentive to the customers as much as the others! We had a great time and we will be returning with great pleasure!

Spacious room but a few unpleasant things...a smell of manure in the room when you wake up very unpleasant, there is a missing socket for the telephone on one side of the bed. We would have liked a chocolate pod with the coffee pods. Breakfast too expensive for what little there is to eat

A superb hotel that I would recommend

Arrival on a Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Restaurant closed, normally 9 p.m. There is nothing nearby to eat, a real hassle. The room was large and cold without decoration, without kettle or coffee maker. Room surely ideal for visitors to Puy du Fou but not for work. The reception was not very welcoming in the morning, not very welcoming hostess always on the phone and finishing her papers before taking care of the customer. No response to my goodbye have a nice day. Summary very disappointed, I won't come back.
