Comfortable and charming hotel, fair rates.
Decent room. High restaurant and drink prices. Not worth these prices compared to other places I stay regularly. Having a castle nearby doesn't allow everything.
COMPLICATED PHONE BOOKING. AWAY FROM THE PARKING. A GLASS OF POOR 9€ IS TOO MUCH!! IMPRACTICAL BATHROOM
Most, not all, of the staff should not be working in the hotel trade as their attitude toward customers was abrupt and unwelcoming. You were made to feel as if you were upsetting their routine as were actually in the way. This applies from the manager to the young lady on reception!
Insects in the bathroom and also on the bed, obviously triboliums. Meal in the evening, an insect on my plate, I reported it to the service, they told me (I'm going to say it in the kitchen) no apologies or even a commercial gesture, complete silence until our departure. Very disappointed because this accommodation is not like what we have stayed in before, this one is not recommended
Lack of professionalism from the catering team. The dish was served while we were having an aperitif outside, the meat was too fatty. The room was very old-fashioned, extremely hot, and an old fan was used to cool the room. The bathroom was from the 70s and in very poor condition. No soundproofing between the rooms.
Pleasant staff, small room but very good quality meals, very good products
dangerous hotel in case of strong heat... run away...... room under the roof without air conditioning dangerous risk of discomfort for fragile people. unbearable in summer, black slate roof + insufficient insulation dilapidated bathroom with toilet together under the roof, you bump into the beams. room with carpet on the floor with big stains.... expensive breakfast no parking only the location of the establishment gives it a star in short go elsewhere
Really tiny bathroom with a small tub but very clean
Decent room for one night. Restaurant with good products but prices that are far too high (example: a gourmet coffee at 15 euros!), I recommend not eating there!
Room 209 is a broom closet, a lousy bathroom, impossible to shower standing up. Deplorable soundproofing, better to sleep in a Formula 1
Very nice hotel, very welcoming, professional and attentive staff, generous meal, very very good. In short, we had a great time.
Very pleasant staff. The room was comfortable and spacious. Cleanliness was good. The hotel lacks private parking. You have to park on the street, which isn't easy due to limited availability.
Very pleasant welcome, very clean hotel, impeccable sanitary facilities. Excellent dinner in a friendly setting. Hearty breakfast in a very beautiful room. The only downside was the noise of the mattress protector in the bed! We really liked the old-fashioned feel of this hotel.
Could use a little updating but for one night it's more than enough. And it's really close to the Château de Chenonceau!
Very dirty carpet, persistent and strong smell, forced to keep the window open, refused to change our room
Cramped bedroom and bathroom
Very pleasant stay, pleasant setting and general quality
Hotel from a bygone hotel era
We were warmly welcomed by an English speaking staff member who served our lunch and drinks/dinner. She was so friendly and helpful with the menu. We saw another staff member at breakfast and check-out who was equally efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable and cosy which we appreciated on a cold night. The bathroom is squeezed into a small space and needs upgrading but it was clean and had everything we needed. Overall we had a great experience and would certainly return.
Very good value for money
The welcome by young people is very nice, the consideration of my wife's gluten intolerance was very appreciated. The meals are qualitative and the service more than correct and friendly. The only downside would be on the room (208) clean but which needs to be renovated especially at the level of the carpet ☺️ otherwise during our stay the breakfast was done opposite in another hotel but the quality was there I recommend this place for the good value for money especially for the restaurant and the friendly team of young people
The food was very good at this Logis, but sadly that was it. Staff were not very welcoming, and did not explain we could not get a drink until after their break at 7pm; we were told we could get a drink at the bar but not that it was a 45 minute wait while staff had a break. After a long journey and no abilitybin the room to make our own drink that was unhelpful. As I understand French reasonably well and staff also welcomed us in English as well as French, this was not a simple misunderstanding but a lack of thought. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was extremely small. Someone else’s dirty sock was under the bed. Our two emails about parking went unanswered before our arrival. We have stayed in lots of Logis over the years and have always enjoyed our stays, but this one was not representative of our experience in the slightest - a real case of a tourist hotspot where there will be customers no matter how badly they treat them, so no motivation to treat them thoughtfully or well. The food is the only thing that raised this up from the lowest rating. Avoid.
Very comfortable hotel, welcoming and kind and helpful staff. Breakfast to be improved
Very tiny room Very well located expensive and average breakfast
No advertising for logis hotel
Well placed for the castle, good dinner despite the wait. Not being able to take a shower.
Room 302: not much space for 3 🛏️ + carpet 👎🏻 + large wall crack under window 👎🏻 + pot and flowers window pitiful condition 👎🏻 layout and decor to be renewed for + practicality. Dusty gold metal headboard 👎🏻. @ connection intermittently 🤔. Breakfast 👍🏼. Welcome 👍🏼. 😴 quiet behind the very busy street. Signed by a former maid and linen maid hotel 5🌟.
Completely sympathetic experience
While visiting the Loire castles, I booked this room for its proximity to the Chenonceau castle, in fact you couldn't get any closer! On the other hand, the room was very small, just enough room to turn around the bed. A very very cramped bathroom and a basic decor with a number of stains on the floor on a very dated carpet. When at the restaurant, very expensive and little choice. The salad that I had was crunchy because it was poorly washed and had residue of sand. 3 desserts had exaggerated prices. In short, only the breakfast taken in the restaurant across the street was good and in a pleasant environment. This hotel absolutely does not deserve its 2 stars
Charming building with a warm welcome from the staff. The room is in its own juice. It would require some repairs (missing ventilation grille) and renovations (carpet, wallpaper, furniture). The fan was very welcome in this heat. The window edges need to be maintained. However, the bedding is quality, we slept well there. Parking has 4 spaces in front of the hotel, but parking is available 50 meters away. Overall, decent hotel for a stopover.
Very pleasant welcome, the employees always have a smile. And they are helpful too. My 11 year old daughter really enjoyed the verbal exchanges and the hearty breakfast! (For my part, I only drank tea that was offered to me, I appreciated the commercial gesture.)
The room we had was under the roof, really too hot, stifling heat. The small window open to the street did not allow any air to come in, but on the other hand, cars were driving all night long. Warm and welcoming team
welcoming hotel staff very aging but clean sound insulation from room to room lousy I recommend.
Bonjour,
Le personnel est très aimable, le service aussi. Tout était agréable part le repas du soir
One night stay, evening meal and breakfast. Very nice hotel in the theme of its castle... Stonework and general decor. Very friendly and helpful staff.Thank you
Hello, we are very satisfied with our stay both in terms of comfort, welcome and prices. a slight reservation however on the breakfast fruit salad. We will come back with pleasure.
Very dated room
A hotel with a very pretty exterior but the rooms are still from the 70s.. It's very clean, but old carpet, bathroom from the 70s, dark paneling... In short, 125 euros for 2...with the small already... We only stayed one night. Very kind and helpful staff, hearty breakfast.
The room was very small, it was very muggy and for "cooling" we had a small fan. In the bathroom, the ceiling is really low, the shower is really poorly made, no pressure in the jet, as soon as we want to hang the jet high up the water stops. No refrigerator to store our drinks or food. We hear everything that's happening outside.
The hotel has prices that seem quite reasonable to me given the services.
Harming hotel, bien situé près du Châtau de Chenonceaux
The room in which we stayed had nothing to do with those in the photos on booking: veillote, mold on the joints of the bathtub, hair dryer non-functional, radiator in the bathroom non-functional (at the beginning of March this is unacceptable !), a wall light did not work and neither did the TV when we arrived. The solution found was to use our power strip to put the TV on another outlet (the lady did not see fit to offer/bring us a power strip belonging to the hotel! And worst of all... there was a very unpleasant smell in the room (even after more than 1.5 hours of ventilation...)
Very friendly team

Excellent location for visiting the castle. Restaurant offers great value for money. Limited private parking (4 spaces). Rooms are dated and small. Fine for a short stay.
