To be avoided, at least during the work! When ordering breakfast when checking in, I was told that it would be a "box" because of the work on the restaurant. I was surprised and was told "it is specified when you booked" which is false (I showed it the next morning). To get to the room from reception, gymkhana between the dismantled doors in the corridor (still the work). The shower floor is very slippery and there is no bar to hold on to, guaranteed fall if it is wet (common for a shower...). Hanging towels is very awkward. Back I looked on the website and noticed that it was not up to date, the latest "news" was the Valentine's Day menu (February when it was May) and that there was no mention of the work, therefore the closure of the restaurant. Thank you for the reservations!
Our fourth visit to this hotel. Helpful and polite staff. Good food and comfortable clean bedroom with a very comfortable bed.

Bye bye Logis. Hello Ibis. Expected coffee machine no longer provided (still listed as available on Logis site). Desk area replaced with a shelf to accommodate aircon unit . New air conditioning not heating - no instructions, touch screen not displaying. And smell of paint from corridor refurbishment. Room fridge not cool (as usual). After 8 or so visits a year over the last 2 years, this was the first time all of my reviews were not marked 'very good'. Refurbishment whilst still trading always a difficult balance to get right: didn't work for us. We'll try again when it is part of the Ibis chain.
Not much of a warm welcome & the hotel seemed to be in the last stages of a revamp. The hotel is alongside a highway which was busy in the morning. However, there is effective sound proofing. Curious lighting system in the bathroom which can only be switched on if bedroom lighting is on. Staff much better in the morning & breakfast was good. Might be good if egg boiler was already switched on though.
