Excellent stay, The room was modern and light, water and coffee were supplied too. Staff were helpful, polite and professional. Dinner was amazing and not over priced. We have stayed here before a number of times under the previous managers and always enjoyed it. The new management team are carrying on with the tradition of a marvellous, friendly French hotel, We will certainly keep going back there.

For dinner, come early. Kitchen closes 8:45, great healthy food; bar open till 9:30.. we took glasses up to the room, no problem.

Very good hotel, pleasant setting and very comfortable, clean and very pleasant rooms. Very pleasant and helpful reception staff but there is a lack of staff, particularly in the morning breakfast service. Breakfast a little too limited with little choice and pastries running out quickly. Only point to improve on this stay.
The hotel has benefitted from a major upgrade in terms of decor and furnishings. Our room was entirely comfortable for our overnight stay. Easy access to Le Shuttle makes this hotel an ideal location to break up a long return journey to the UK. Thank you to the owners and all of your staff. You gave us a comfortable and enjoyable stay at your hotel. We would gladly stay at this hotel again in the future.
Everything is perfect. Delicious meal. I would have preferred a shower. It's difficult to get into the bathtub with arthritis. This is the only negative point I can note.

Although they were very busy with a wedding party we had more than enough of a warm welcome. The restaurant team were first rate both for dinner and breakfast and the quality of the food excellent.

Beautiful establishment
We regularly stay in the lodgings, and are very rarely disappointed, but there was a big disappointment with the meal in particular. In fact, we had taken the menu of the day at twenty-nine euros per person, classic starters with gizzard salad or seafood ravioli, but for the main course a casserole of fish that was not fresh and tasted of ammonia, we left more than half of it and the manager as compensation offered us a third of an extra dessert worthy of a supermarket. Surprise when paying the bill the next morning, we had ordered two kir cassis white wine as an aperitif without asking for the wine list, big mistake, they were charged 16 euros for both. The day before in another lodging it was 7 euros for both. The room was correct but a little cool, the radiator thermostat was blocked voluntarily as in all the rooms, the roller shutters were strapped for strong people. On the advert for the lodgings, it was indicated Cosy hotel and tasty restaurant, oops...
It was our 5th or 6th stay at this hotel, the owner Mme Dubreucq and her staff are always most welcoming and the food is absolutely wonderful. We look forward to returning again very soon. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere friendly to stay and enjoy really good food in homely surroundings.
Hello, overall I am satisfied with my stay in your establishment, however I would make 2 remarks on the catering service, they are as follows: 1) The notion of stipulating a "please" at each service rendered to a table or bringing of a dish was a little painful because repeated systematically and in any case too often for my taste. 2) It would be wise that in the event of a syntax error on the part of a customer concerning for example the pronunciation of a cheese, that this does not cause laughter accordingly and in the back room the Director of the establishment and the waitress in the dining room. In any case, a little discretion is required, I specify that I clearly heard your exchanges at my table, and I deplore it. I was on the verge of telling you about it but I changed my mind not wishing to argue on the subject. After that it was probably not mean of you, at least I hope so, but believe me mockery is not customary towards a customer.
Quality welcome. On an evening stopover, it is very pleasant to have a quality welcome and service after your day's work. Attentive staff. I recommend.

Very well-kept hotel with attentive staff
We only booked last minute as we decided to stay the last night of our holiday closer to the ferry which was only half an hour away. We had the pleasure to stay in the Jura suite which was very comfortable with a lovely view. Had one of the best dining experiences of our lives in the evening, fantastic food and wine with great service! Breakfast was good but coming from England we love a cooked breakfast rather than a continental so would have been nice to have the option to pay for something more filling. Only slight grips are the size of the towels as the largest towels available are more like our hand towels at home and the WiFi is ok if you’re only connecting your phone not a fire stick or kindle. Will definitely be rebooking in the future as we loved staying here.

We had an excellent overnight stay. We chose this hotel because there is off street parking in the hotel grounds and the food reviews looked good. It didn’t disappoint. Our dinner was close to Michelin star quality and our hostess (the owner), was very attentive. She also remembered that it was my birthday! We would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
Fourth time we have come to the Hostellerie Saint Louis and we are still just as happy.

Traditional hotel close to places to visit, including the superb Museum of Flanders. We had a (very) large room with very good bedding. The whole thing could do with a little refresh. The friendly welcome won us over.

Lovely hosts and excellent food
We had a lovely stay. The owner makes you feel right at home. We had one of the junior suites and while it was very hot weather we could cool the room very nicely during the night. Dinner was absolutely delicious at a very reasonable price. We will definitely visit here more often.

Nice quiet location away from the village centre but only 5 minutes walk to the supermarket for supplies for a picnic.

Hartelijke ontvangst.Mooi hotel met historische betekenis. Geschikt voor honden. Wat gehorig, maar is niet storend. Wat minder geschikt voor mindervalide mensen. Niet alle ruimte even toegankelijk, maar kamers daarentegen wel geschikt voor minder valide mensen. Mooie, sfeervolle en ruime kamer. Goede koffie- en theefaciliteiten. Grote badkamer met genoeg steun en hulpmiddelen voor mensen die wat minder goed ter been zijn. Lekker ruikende zeep. Matrassen bed iets wat harder, maar niet echt storend. Mooi sfeervol restaurant. Fijn dat onze hond bij ons mocht zitten. Was voor haar de eerste keer. Eten was bijzonder en lekker. Geen grote kaart, maar is ook wat ons betreft niet nodig. tip: voor een eerste bezoek, wel handig om iets meer informatie te krijgen als je voor het eerst bij ontbijt of diner komt. Hoe het werkt, maar verder alleen maar complimenten. We komen graag nog een keer terug.

I/we have been a guest here for many years, I/we always love love the friendliness and quiet style of the place. Many discerning guests are testament to its quality,quite often it is difficult to get a reservation as a result-the exotic cars in the ,shaded car park are in themselves a testimonial to that. All in all, a true gem of a stopover, little far out, but well worth the effort. Incidentally, the nearest town, St. Omer is currently undergoing a rather stunning makeover.

The staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and professional. It is an old hotel combining old-world charm and the old-fashioned side of the common areas. The bedding is extremely soft. Dogs are allowed at an additional cost of €20.

Were welcomed in Dutch by the hostess in this historic building, with beautiful garden, located in French Flanders. Extremely helpful employees. Tasty meals with their own "touch" for both breakfast and dinner. Finely selected champagne and wines. Also the presence of locals, which confirms the delicious dishes. Very quiet location.

Sadly the news does not really match up to the advertising. The access to the rooms is through a small, plain door in to a narrow passage leading to stairs with dangerously steep stairs. Our room was one of the larger ones, with 2 rooms, one strangely with a table and 4 chairs, the other with a comfortable bed, but no headboard, no wall lights and no chairs. So there was nowhere to sit comfortably. The result was a lack of warmth and comfort. Unfortunately this is the same throughout the hotel, where the quality of the decor and ambiance just does not quite work. It is a pity that a little more money has not been spent.
