Notre séjour a été très agréable après 2 journée de travail. L'équipe est très professionnelle et à l'écoute. Un remerciement spécial à l'un des propriétaires de l'hôtel qui nous a gentiment conduits en voiture à notre rendez-vous, car nous avions oublié de réserver un taxi à l'avance... :S

Très bon accueil le personnel est très accueillant. La chambre est très bien aménagé et propre le lit très confortable. Nous avons dîner au restaurant de l’hôtel où nous avons passé une très belle soirée et déguster un excellent repas. Si vous passez à Richelieu je vous conseille vivement cet établissement.

Au niveau culinaire, rien à redire, rapport qualité prix excellent. Nous étions 13 personnes pour les 74 ans de notre maman et à la carte. Mets savoureux, cuissons juste, belle présentation. Bon choix de vins de la vallée de la Loire... Très belle découverte et le plus borne de recharge pour voiture électrique devant l'hôtel que l'on peut réserver lors de votre réservation de chambre!!! Large choix pour le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet. Un grand merci pour ce merveilleux moment passé chez vous!!! Au plaisir de vous revoir!!!

Absolute gem! A lovely restored piece of history in the market square with free parking right outside. The evening menu featured local produce cooked to perfection and the breakfast buffet was the best we have had! This hotel ticked every box for us and the welcome was especially friendly with the English-speaking host rescuing us from our poor effort with the French language - well, we tried :)

Excellent address! Beautiful 17th century building (like this whole "new town" desired by Richelieu), ideally located a stone's throw from the entrance to the gigantic Richelieu Park. Parking right outside, on the main square. Beautiful, comfortable room, very well equipped (large cozy 160cm bed, however a little too soft for my taste...). Very varied and qualitative breakfast (hmmm the homemade omelette and local mature cheeses!). Great kindness of welcome, and management felt very "square". Well done and thank you!

A bit old fashioned, but clean and friendly people. The building could use a lick of paint on the outside. Had a good meal in the restaurant.
Regarding the restaurant, I had the quail and there was really very little to eat on the plate, I know that a quail is small but very little accompaniment to compensate. otherwise it was very good, just too little.

On arrival we were shown to our room which could I my be accessed by a steep staircase themansgeri.mediated realised that we would find the stairs difficult moved us to another room with lift access.

Richlieu makes a lovely stopover when driving through France and what better hotel to stay but Puits Dore. Despite being very busy on arrival as there was an antiques fair nearby we were given a warm welcome and advised where to park nearby. Our room was huge (also the bed) and very airy. After a good walk in the park nearby to exercise us and our dog and a freshen up we were on the terrace for dinner at the side of an ancient square.. The food and services was first class and really established we were back in France. We had a very relaxing pleasurable stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.. Thank you.

A very friendly welcome, especially since the manager had to correct the date that google imposed on the Logis site (via google maps)! It is therefore better to go directly to the Logis site to have up-to-date and closer availability. The availability of staff is perfect. The restaurant is qualitative on a deliberately limited choice The place is quite quiet for a historic town center.

If you like rustic, you've come to the right place, creaky floorboards, stifling heat in the attic, no double-glazed windows, very small bathroom space for a triple room, bedding that's not at all comfortable and moves constantly, we slept very badly, on the other hand the staff is very helpful, we were provided with a hair dryer because it did not work in the room. The restaurant is just ok, but the breakfast is very ok.

A wonderful place to stay for the full Richelieu experience! Very comfortable room with lovely outdoor seating to enjoy in warm weather. Staff friendly and accommodating. Meals good rather than spectacular … but not too expensive considering the location. Would definitely come again!
We were greeted by the lovely Olivier who was very helpful and directed us to our rooms but on opening the doors we werent impressed. My mum and dads room was very small but adequate and mine was awful, neither had air conditioning and my room had windows and shutters that were about 10 feet off the floor so i couldnt see out of them and couldnt even reach them to open them to let in fresh air. I asked to change rooms but was told the hotel was full.. we had been driving all day so just had to accept it and hoped the dinner would cheer us up. We were wrong! We sat down at 8pm and ordered our food (we were served by Olivier who was lovely as well as an extremely lovely helpful young lady too) we ordered our food and the drinks were brought straight away, then we waited and waited and waited, more people came in and sat down, ordered and got served, 40 mins went by so we asked Olivier when our food would arrive and he said it would be soon. Everyone else at this point had had their mains and puddings and some had even left and we still hadnt had our food! after over an hour of waiting our food finally turned up and we were not impressed. My mums fish was luke warm and it felt like it had been frozen and just warmed up so she didnt eat much of it in case she was ill, my belly of pork was very nice but a bit fatty and my dad ordered a burger which to be honest was very poor... a dry burger in a dry bun with a bit of lettuce and some chips, very basic and not what you would expect from a Logis restaurant. Needless to say my mum was ill in the night and didnt make it to breakfast - so all in all it was a really poor experience which is a real shame as we have been using Logis hotels for years but this has now put us off staying in one again. Breakfast was nice (apart from the coffee machine and the orange juice machine both being empty when we arrived!) and the staff were all really lovely but the rooms and the evening food were a massive let down, sorry.
Staff very available and very friendly. I recommend room 101 for those who like beams, large rooms with a fireplace and atypical windows and shutters. Very nice hotel and easy to park with this large square in front.

Unfortunately we arrived late morning and the staff seemed to be in a panic. We were asked to return at 3.00pm to access our room, which was on third floor in a small room in the roof with no lift.
We asked about eating at the Hotel that evening and were told they were full ! Later a coach party arrived of mainly American's, considering there was only 2 of us we thought this was totally unreasonable for a Hotel to not expect overnight guests staying would require dinner. Perhaps if we had been warned we would have stayed elsewhere.

I have stayed here many times and always find the welcome friendly and accommodating. I have a motorbike and they are always considerate regarding parking and security. It's not a flashy 5 star chain with a corresponding price tag, but a straightforward, pretty hotel in a pretty town with good free parking right outside the hotel, and when the suns out and it's warm, a lovely place to sit and eat in the evenings.
It's an excellent choice for a singe traveller, notwithstanding, I would, and will be staying here with my family soon, it breaks my journey to the south ideally. Value for money and simply just a nice place to stay.

Bad surprise no children's menu the boss makes no offer or price ax potato 10 euros no starter no dessert!!!! The same evening if an industrial compote was offered!!! But still no starter or dessert!! The very strange service you take your aperitif that we serve you the dishes and after we wait 35 minutes for a dessert and the height the boss makes us a remark on our grandson who looks at a tablet with headphones so as not to disturb the customers he is 4 years asking us if our grandson was visiting a castle with his tablet!!! Incorrect vulgarity of the boss! The bedroom bedding nickel but bathroom the button of the shower remains in your hands and the hair dryer stops after 1 minute so note 240 euros a day !!! Never again at the golden well

Ideal location in Richelieu, a very friendly and attentive welcome, even accompanying us on our arrival with our luggage to our room (something we no longer see!). All the comforts, but in a remarkable historic setting. Very tasty evening meal with interesting combinations (must be booked because very busy), and breakfast offering local products, which we found at the Friday morning farmers' market. We will definitely go back!

This is a historic building. You can feel the history when you walk in. And therefore it is understandable that rooms and showers are small. However, I think that the price reflects this.
The rooms are clean, and contain the necessities. Again, as a historic building there is no air-conditioning, but rooms have small fans which definitely help.
Breakfast seems modest at first but in fact is very complete with a wide variety of choices, including cereals, eggs, cooked meats, local cheeses, fresh fruit salad, pastries etc.
Parking is available for free in the square in front of the hotel.
Dinner is not cheap but represents good value for money.
All the staff were very helpful, professional and friendly.

Hotel well located on the Place de Richelieu and next to a magnificent park! The hotel restaurant is excellent, affordable and the welcome is really top notch.
We stopped at this hotel on the way south, it was a very pleasant surprise. We had an excellent stay! The location is perfect, right in the main square with parking in front of the hotel. We had a family room with a view to a side road, it was clean, spacious and very quiet. The check-in and check-out went smoothly, all staff members were very nice and accommodating. We had an evening meal outside overlooking the square, the food was nice too. Certainly a place we would like to return to.
It would need AC otherwise very good and quaint.

I would have liked to be warned that we did not have a "normal" room but a really cramped and dark room on the ground floor. The reception is very expeditious and surprising. Note the effort made to allow us to dine outside while the terrace was full.
Passing through Richelieu, I always had lunch at the Puits Doré: it is a very good restaurant at a reasonable price, with an attentive welcome and service. Last Tuesday, I stopped there for the evening and the night: the room met my expectations, as did the welcome, the dinner... The abundance and As for the breakfast, there was something for everyone. tastes, what was offered being of exemplary freshness.
Great room, comfortable bed, cannot fault it. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.
I come to this hotel every year on approximately the same dates and I have never had a bad surprise, whether it be the reservation, the reception, the rooms or the catering. See you next year!

Am a regular visitor to the hotel and have always been happy with everything especially the superb food.
I have stayed at the Puits many times before (and under different managements over 20 years) and have always enjoyed my stay. It could not be more central and incredibly easy to find. Handy for the wonderful park and walks round the town. I cannot recommend it high enough!

Very nice hotel. Super atypical room. Be careful if you are over 1.80m tall... the beams sometimes cross without warning.. The carpet should ask for retirement, excellent bedding. Access to the net is still very approximate whether by WiFi or 4G. All the staff are very pleasant. Excellent experience in general
