What a beautiful establishment, I came for the second time, I appreciate the quality of the welcome, the calm, the maintenance. The restaurant is very good, the quality of the dishes, pleasant service. The menu for the evening stopover is of very good quality. The breakfast is also very generous, with local products, made by the restaurant. I will come back as often as possible. The Château d'Amboise is beautiful during the day and also at night. I recommend

Beautiful little hotel. Clean, fresh, and cosy.
The one downside was that the menu was limited. Lacked vegetarian options and was expensive.
We really wanted to eat there but considered all the above and had to go elsewhere in town.

Otherwise, it was a great hotel with parking also which is a bonus.

Fabulous hotel, this is our 4th visit and we planned our entire trip to France around our stay here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming - it feels like coming home. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The restaurant is absolutely outstanding, both for breakfast and dinner. We can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay at Hotel la Breche. Isabelle was really helpful beforehand booking us a table for dinner on the Fri of our stay, it was delightful, we ate in the garden and it was a wonderful start to our holiday. The hotel is a little distance from the centre of Amboise, but it is peaceful and quiet and we appreciated the secure parking and also the EV charging though we did not need to use it on this occasion. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed.

A large room, very well decorated, very clean...like new. A meal worthy of a Michelin star. Excellent value for money.

We were travelers from the U.S. First time to stay in this hotel. We chose it thru a Google search. Its reality matched the photos, which is always nice. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable. Ours had an extra single bed in it, along with a sofa and a desk and an entry settee. The bathroom was the rounded enclosure/stand-alone shower type with an open/shut door. Not as luxurious as a tiled shower, but we were thankful to have a stand-alone shower and not a tub! Although there was no vanity space, there was a stand-alone four layer shelf, so that was helpful for placing your toiletries. The amenities of individual lotion and vanity kit/shaving kit/shower cap was very nice to have, and something neither of our two previous hotels on our trip had. I LOVED finding that they provided these things...such a nice touch. The only negative thing I can say about the bathroom was that they (along with the other two hotels we stayed in) provided communal shampoo in the shower, and the product was the one that combines shampoo and body wash. I personally do not like to use body wash for my hair, preferring there be two separate products. I would ideally prefer individual shampoo and body wash or soap.
The bed and linens were comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The only negative I would say about the room itself was the decor...it was like something from the era of the U.S. 60s...not at all french charming as one would hope in a french hotel. It felt dated and dark. If they changed that, this room would be top-notch!
The reception was perfectly hospitable! Very nice and they spoke English.
Although this hotel is not in Amboise proper, we could have walked to the downtown portion if we'd chosen to, crossing over two bridges. The hotel's secure and free parking was very nice to have!!
We didn't utilize the gardens, but they made for a lovely setting.
We would stay here again!

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the Chateau.
We had dinner in the garden which was superb, the flavours and presentation of all the food was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly, made you feel very welcome. The breakfast selection was the best we have experienced, it was well worth the money.

Luxury room (No. 3) at 140€ (sometimes 150€) excluding breakfast overlooking the street with cars passing by from 6:30 a.m., soundproofing to be perfected, separate toilet but next to the bed (not easy not to make noise at night) and small bathroom (even if functional). Disappointed with this price for this room, no luxury on the garden side, prefer a room at 90€ simpler but much better value for money. On the other hand EXCELLENT service and EXCELLENT gastronomic table, quality of food, presentation, in-depth knowledge of local sources, magnificent cheese platter, succulent desserts....and high-flying breakfast with homemade breads, jams, savory and sweet products etc.... Perhaps this increases the frustration of a room at a price too high for its quality, for our criteria, the complete opposite of the catering part, at the top!! . We will come back for this with great pleasure.

We spent a lovely 3-night stay at Hotel La Brèche and enjoyed Demi-pension for 2 of the 3 nights. Lovely fresh and well presented food! Madame is so very friendly and helpful in her recommendations. Junior suite accommodations are well laid out and decorated. Only recommendation: Kleenex in bathroom and a handle bar in the shower for older guests, as the shower floor is very slippery!

Very good 4-night stay. Small, friendly room, small but efficient and competent staff. Beautiful garden where we had dinner. We had half-board which may seem a little expensive but is really worth it because the food served is simply excellent. The city center is easily accessible for visiting the castles. A very good address.

Hotel LaBreche is a wonderful place to stay. The room was very spacious with additional seating area and a table and two chairs outside on a small patio. Everything was clean and we were welcomed by the host who showed us to our room and even carried our heaviest bag for us. The onsite parking worked well for us and felt secure since it was gated. The dinner at the restaurant was as good as any Michelin-starred restaurant I've visited. From 4 different types of amuse bouche to the entrees, plates (main course), cheese course and dessert, all of it was phenomenal. Service was attentive and professional but not overly intrusive. I highly recommend both lodging and the restaurant. If you only can do one, definitely make reservations for dinner!

A beautiful establishment! The gourmet meal (we chose the Tiphaine menu) was refined, and some flavors were new to us. A special mention goes to Julien, who provided excellent wine recommendations thanks to his expert knowledge of the subject.

Upon entry there is a beautiful garden area, and very private rooms. Parking is available and behind a secure gate. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We had traveled 2 weeks in France and enjoyed some very wonderful meals. The dinner at La Breche was at top of the list. It was special.

From the first welcome stepping through the door throughout the evening meal and breakfast until departure the service was superb.
The restaurant is not the cheapest but is worth every penny / cent, it is worth a stay at this hotel just to experience dinner.
The whole hotel team are warm but discreet in how they approach guests which adds to the overall experience.
We really can't say enough about how good this hotel is.

On a business trip, I booked at the last minute, and I did well to choose this hotel. Warm welcome, perfect and well-equipped room. I chose the evening stopover package, the dinner menu offered 2 choices per dish with local ingredients and it was succulent (bravo Chef [fe]). The service was also very good advice. Very good value for money. I validate and remember this address.

Unfortunately our room overlooked the street and not the lovely walled garden which was lovely to sit in. The room was a good size but I didn't like three different wallpapers! A good shower room but it needs some shelves and the sink is too shallow and has a plug that doesn't always work. An excellent breakfast.

A very quiet little traditional hotel full of charm and delicacies, sheltered from the tourist hustle and bustle and yet a few steps from the bridge and the castle of Amboise. The level of the room will depend on the time you wish to spend there, but in any case, do not miss the excellent table of the establishment, a must for gourmets. A very nice address.

Excellent address, to be recommended. A hotel located on the north side of the Loire, away from the crowds. My rating relates to my basic room, the hotel also offers very nice, more spacious and modern rooms. Excellent welcome, everything is professional. As for the cuisine, it is simply remarkable.

Finally a real hotelier!!! Quality of welcome, from the outdoor parking lot to the gardens, from the hotel entrance to the room, everything is perfect!!! And then this price point of offering an extraordinary breakfast, at 19 euros yes, it seems expensive, but when you see the quality of it, made with carefully chosen products (very nice charcuterie and a superb discovery that this gravlax catfish, excellent compotes or homemade jams, delicious French toast, etc.), served in a pretty, very stylish room with attentive staff. Thank you very much, a hotel service like this is becoming rare… and finally the price is very fair!

The room provided is outdated, these are rooms from the 70s...small bathroom, old sink, shower cubicle not great, however the bedding was good. On our weekend, for similar prices, we found better.

Very good value for money for an evening stopover, with a restaurant with impeccable service. Very good food, very good breakfast too, very varied. Finally a hotel where you can sleep, the shutters close and you are not woken up by the outside light, it is silent and the bedding and pillows are firm and of good quality!

We had an excellent stay in this establishment close to the city center of Amboise while being quiet. The welcome, the professionalism, the room, the meals everything is perfect, Really an address to recommend. We regularly go to Amboise to visit our family in Vendée. Each time we pass through, we reserve a night at the Hôtel la Brèche and we also have our evening meal there. Every time, it's always the same pleasure. Whether it is the comfort of the room, the high level of quality of the meal full of surprises, the welcome and the staff in general, everything is perfect!!! We are like “a paste cop”. What a nice surprise this address in Amboise, we loved everything! The welcome, the quiet room in its landscaped garden, the room with its pillar tree where we enjoyed the menus expertly prepared from the beginning to the end of the meal. Outdoor environment and dining rooms are very beautiful. The catering part is of very good quality and the staff are very pleasant and competent. It's a real pleasure. The only downside is the state of the rooms, especially the bathrooms which could do with some updating.

The hotel is located on the other side of the Loire from the Château d'Amboise, in a quiet street. Our comfort room was in the annex building, on the garden level. Very generous in size, with a real little lounge area, well-appointed bathroom with Italian shower and separate toilet. The car park is easily accessible and large. The property's garden is very well laid out and should allow you to relax in the shade or in the sun, as desired, during a stay in summer. The hotel staff made us very welcome and took great care of us throughout our stay. After all these good points, a magic trick: restoration! The dinner was, from my point of view, worthy of a Michelin star! The 'chef's garden' delighted us, the freshness break awakened our taste buds. We didn't have the most extensive menu but the sequence of dishes was an exquisite farandole which will undoubtedly make us come back.
