Business trip, so I booked a stopover. Very good food. A little disappointed by the room (4th floor without elevator in an annex, decor a bit outdated, TV channel numbers not updated since change), is it because I booked a stopover? Breakfast: good.
Hotel was fine, nothing special, good location. Staff were rude and not helpful. We asked well in advance for a late checkout, were told no problem, we’ll take care of it. We had to chase them a few times, then eventually were told this was not possible, strung along! Staff were rude, offered to book a different room for another night and told that’s not possible, “Sir, this is France” was the words he used, extremely rude service.

The most important thing to us in a hotel is being pet friendly, we travel a lot and our fur babies accompany us everywhere, the hotel was comfortable the room spacious and the bed terrific, our girls were accepted everywhere with no exception and that makes the stay special. It’s our second time staying here it didn’t disappoint.
Access to the rooms is not very easy for elderly people. No way to make coffee in the room. Toilet seats are not securely fixed (room 8). A bit of haste in serving the meal even though we had warned that we would be having 2 aperitifs.
Excellent stay,
We expected more from this 3-star hotel... Cobwebs in the room, no courtesy tray (kettle...) whereas until now we had had them in every Logis Hotel, an empty fridge, not even a bottle of water, wifi more than faulty (the TV image jumped all the time, random Internet connection...). We were informed of a toilet flushing problem on arrival, it remained like this for the two days of our stay. The evening dinner was long (2 hours for a main course and a dessert) the vegetables in the main course (seafood pot au feu) were not cooked... On the positive side: the quality of the bedding, the location, with a view of the port, the friendly staff For the services provided, I find the price too high (150€/night)
Good bedding. However, the emergency numbers indicated in the room do not work ("it's normal there is no longer a night porter") and the hotel number is known by the reception as landing on the full voicemail. In short, if you need something urgently, refrain or go and get a number on the door two floors down while your emergency is being managed Shower starting to get clogged (room 22) On the other hand, a breakfast at 12€, in a 3-star hotel, without hot savory items except eggs and with an empty fresh fruit salad bowl... Move on!!
Family room in the attic. It was hot, forcing us to keep the windows open overlooking a parking lot where people drink and talk loudly until 2 a.m. and are relayed by seagulls at 5 a.m.... but that's not the hotel's fault. On the other hand, the quality of the bedding is absolutely terrible. Even our youngest son, who weighs barely 30 kg, couldn't get to sleep. The breakfast is okay, but nothing extraordinary.
I had a very pleasant stay at the Hôtel La Régence. I can confirm the many positive points: ideal location facing the port, warm welcome, attentive staff, and good food. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant. On the other hand, in summer, it can get very hot in the attic rooms, and the bathrooms could do with a little refreshment.
It is unacceptable to advertise a stopover with breakfast starting at 7am and explain that in August the service is at 8am without offering to financially compensate for the inability to enjoy breakfast even though it is charged in the package. This practice could be described as a scam! As a reminder, the stopover is mainly booked by itinerant people who work…. As in many cases in tourist areas, we are welcome out of season to ensure the turnover, but when tourists are present, this is no longer the case.
Really good hotel. Have stayed there several times. Rooms just in need of a little updating now.
Excellent restaurant
Passing by bike for a night with our little dog, we had a very pleasant welcome. Everything was done to make our stay perfect. The staff is very friendly, always smiling! The food is quality. Thank you to the team!
Very good address, to recommend. We dined there and did not regret our choice: good food, and good value for money. Attentive and adorable staff. Only small reservations: the mattress in our room was close to the end of its life and the small hiccups at breakfast (only one person to manage a Sunday morning breakfast during which the majority of guests all came down at the same time!) But we had a very good time :)
Very noisy room stuck between the parking lot, the terrace of the adjoining restaurant and the refrigeration unit which resonates in the room all night.

Very good welcome despite late arrival. Very good breakfast. The room was correct and very quiet. Interesting location of the hotel near the train station and many restaurants and shops.

Some staff members not so friendly
We booked twin beds so that we would have space between the bit they may as well have been the same bed. I was disappointed to be charged extra for this. Overall though we enjoyed our stay

We rented for a week to visit Cherbourg and its surroundings, promotional rate room with a renovated bathroom not large bed and quality windows that protect us from the noise. In these conditions the quality-price ratio was good. Ideally located I recommend to spend a pleasant week without forgetting the quality of the catering where the quality-price ratio is excellent.

Room was cute, the meal in the evening was outstanding. The fish was the best I have ever tasted and the melon soup was delicious. Service was also Fantastic.

Impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. The blower/ventilation attached to the bedroom wall made an unbearable noise continuously, all night long, the walls shook. It's ugly and dishonest to offer this room to a customer, you couldn't not have known. Move on because from my point of view all the rooms on the parking side seem to have the same problem. At more than €150 per night I think it's a scam. I'm a consultant, I've been going to hotels for 80 nights a year for 20 years, I think this is the worst night I've spent.
Unworthy bedroom no. 20 bedding and heat pump exterior unit stuck to the wall and very noisy so you can sleep.

I had room 20 on the ground floor, very noisy. The aerothermal unit outside is making noise. It is placed just below a small window, it looks like it is in the bedroom. Very bad night. Maybe the other rooms are better.

Very good so helpful. One member of the staff actually couldn't understand what we had been saying so she got the translator on her phone which really helped. Because our sailing was later they looked after our bags for us even after leaving time.
Breakfast the lady that helped us even showed us how to use the boiled egg gadget. Really good service.
Decorating was lovely in character with the building. Comfort in your room a really good sleep.

A shower with no hot water at 8 PM. The room had carpet, and what's worse, it was covered in the fingernails of previous guests. The entire carpet was covered in bits of grime. Two useless headboards were covered in dust and some kind of ingrained dirt, like boogers or leftover food, and there were objects under the bed. A constant smell of dust. Dust two centimeters deep all around the room. A hallway light that stayed on all night. On the plus side, the evening meal. Breakfast was very simple and not very substantial. No fresh fruit.
