Very good location Very friendly hotel. Very good dinner and breakfast. To recommend

Delicious breakfast with homemade or local products and in a veranda with a very nice view. The common areas are dated but our room well renovated. Reception hours too late.

The shower fittings are very difficult to adjust. Hot and cold water taps open in different directions. A mixer tap would be much more practical. The faucet in the sensor sink is not practical at all. The breakfast is not at the level of a continental breakfast at 12.5 €. There are too few choices, the coffee is not good. Overall the value for money is good, the location is good and the dinner very good.

Frankly, for a simple but pleasant stay the hotel is very good, the warm welcome, the comfortable room. Very nice view from the room. The hosts are attentive and kind. I recommend !

Looks like time and dust have stood still. The quality of the breakfast is below average. The freshness of the products was difficult to find. A dried watermelon, a moldy cheese, etc. The manager is confused, insecure and not really able to run his business independently. Dinner, on the other hand, was of excellent quality.

It's cozy but moldy (the corner behind the wardrobe is black and the smell on arrival is very strong - less after a few days of ventilation) and we paid more than our Logis Hotel reservation ??? 313 for 303€ for 3 nights the restaurant is expensive compared to the quality: with a reservation of 303€ for 3 nights we end up with a bill of 440€ with a meal and 2 breakfasts each (i.e. 4): it is rather a nice extension and limits a forced sale after our 5 hour drive under pressure to arrive "before the kitchens closed" we finally took 30 minutes before taking our order; with the summer temperatures, a glass of water would have been welcome! Or order drinks? they didn't welcome us and they said good night to us without having given us the key to the room beforehand. The host seems exhausted but he still offered us a coffee once: need a vacation? in short, it helps out on the condition of not looking too much after the budget and accepting certain limits. The potential is however there: there is cachet and the bedding is rather good..

The hotel was in construction when we booked (end of 2021), which the host warned us about. In fact, he had closed the hotel for Christmas because of this, but reopened for a couple of days just for us and a couple of guests who would have been stranded otherwise as all the other hotels and gites around were either closed or fully booked. This speaks to his generosity and friendliness... I have seen some not-so-good reviews online, with people complaining about the fact that the hotel was under renovation at this time. I can't really believe the hubris of some people... The guy literally reopened his hotel as a favor to us and the guests when he did not have to! Anyway, I stopped by the hotel recently (July 2022), the renovations are finished and the hotel looks amazing. The greenhouse and medieval dining room are absolutely gorgeous! I really appreciate what he is doing for the town, my grandparents live there and I know how big of a deal it is that someone is bringing back this hotel, which has always been, and is now again, the flagship hotel of Belleme. I could not recommend more! The accommodations are beautiful and the whole place just has so much charm.

Beautiful old hotel named after a well known 19th century surgeon. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The good sized swimming pool was a definite asset in the heat.

A little disappointed with the age of the hotel. The stairs not very welcoming, the rooms dated. On the other hand the staff very friendly and welcoming.

I've enjoyed my stay. The host is kind and available. Home cooked meals were perfect. The rooms constantly clean and updated daily.

This is one of our favourite hotels for our journeys down through France. Always welcoming and keen to accommodate all our requests.

Very disappointed especially by the very small space of the room for 3 people and the lack of storage in the room as in the bathroom. Room overlooking the street so noisy if you open the windows because no air conditioning. On the other hand, the bedding was very good, the hotel well located to shine and they accept dogs which was very important.

The relay of Saint Louis knew how to keep the authenticity and the framework of a hotel where it is good to put down your suitcases. The reception reserved for customers is privileged, the spacious rooms with top-of-the-range bedding. Real comfort!! I recommend this establishment. Do not hesitate to ask for a room on the garden side to be even more quiet. If I had to make just one suggestion for improving the services, which are already more than adequate, it would be the variety of dishes offered for breakfast. But it is nice to benefit from products entirely from local production. Excellent apple juice and cider. The quality of the dishes offered on the restaurant menu is excellent.

Mauvaise expérience à l'arrivée. Je suis arrivé le 11/05 à 16h30 et il n'y avait personne à l'accueil pour me recevoir. J'ai du patienter 1/2h pour voir un salarié de l'hôtel ouvrir l'accueil pour l'installer. J'aurais encore patienter jusqu'à 18h.

Establishment with a strong history. Under renovation. The owner does his best to do well. There is still work to be done, not everything is perfect, but the price-quality ratio is there. We must encourage his efforts by coming there. THANKS

Due to work that never ends (reported for several months), the services were, on the whole, disappointing compared to what was announced and shown on the site; the breakfast products were ordinary compared to the description (supermarket yogurts and jams, non-existent cold cuts: a few slices of sausage); the bread, baked on the spot, was delicious. No price mentioned in advance for the meals, that of Sunday evening, much better than the announced meal tray was charged the same price as that of Saturday ... The owner, charming, "passes" the shortcomings brilliantly, but the "unfinished" side is annoying.

Hôtel en travaux lorsque que j y ai passé une nuit. J ai été informé quelques jours avant mon arrivée que la restauration ne serait pas possible car la salle de restauration est en travaux. En réalité c est tout le rée de chaussée qui est en travaux il n y a plus de réception et il faut contourner les palettes de chantier pour accéder à l escalier. Les ouvriers ont travaillé jusqu’à 22h30. Le tapis de l étage des chambres est également pleins de plâtre car les ouvriers sont logés dans les chambres. Établissement probablement très bien après travaux mais mon expérience n a pas été bonne

Je suis passée en soirée étape professionnelle au Relais Saint louis. J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'ambiance de l'hôtel, la qualité de la chambre et le soin apporté à la décoration, la restauration originale. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent. Le wifi fonctionnait parfaitement et le bureau bien aménagé m'a permis de traiter mes dossiers agréablement. On peut se garer facilement devant l'hôtel, et la balade nocturne dans Belleme est charmante.
Seul point d'attention, je n'avais pas vérifié certaines contraintes horaires, (heure d'arrivée et de petit déjeuner) mais les propriétaires sont très arrangeants, il suffit de communiquer à l'avance.

Lit confortable, chambre et sanitaires propres.
Des travaux de rénovation seraient nécessaires (plafonds)

Hôtel vieillot. Pas d’aération salle de bain du coup odeur d’humidité. Dommage

Très bien mangé, menu gourmand avec charcuterie régional, recommandable !
