the owner {wife } tired her very best to communicate in English w/ us made our stay comfortable, the room was very a cottage home style product, very convenient to city center also, Coffee was brewed, not french pressed in the morning

Bon emplacement, on s'y sent bien, comme dans une petite maison dans une oliveraie. Par contre c'est embêtant de devoir libérer la chambre à 10h impérativement sans qu'une solution soit proposée pour travailler dans un endroit tranquille: il faut penser aux travailleurs "nomades" !

The price we paid, 92 euros implied good quality, but it was barely acceptable and low class. The restaurant did not offer any other choice but one and "it was take it or leave it" - extremely disappointing as the hotel website offered a la carte, which was a false statement. We would accept a refund for this unpleasant experience.

Hôtel certainement agréable en été, mais en hiver la chambre manque de chauffage !!

Très bien dans l'ensemble rapport qualité/ prix parfait.Bon séjour.

Juste prévoir de mettre du chauffage dans les chambres avant l'arrivée des clients surtout quand ça gèle dehors.

A soigner l'accueil, car personne peu compréhensive suite à réclamation concernant le froid qui régnait dans la chambre à 18h et même au-delà. Un peu d'amabilité serait la bienvenue. D'autre part repas du soir assez simples avec un seul menu.

Ne soyez pas rebutés par l'adresse, l'hôtel est très calme, propre et calme et le personnel très serviable. Je reviendrais.

The bathroom light is on a timer, which is ridiculous as it switches off relatively quickly.

Seul défaut le léger bruit lointain de la proximité avec la gare mais également avec la blanchisserie qui devait ne pas être loin de ma chambre

Un accueil très sympatique, une chambre magnifiquement décorée, grande, une salle de baib super équipée pour une personne à mobilité réduite comme moi avec place parking réservé. Pas de bruit malgré la gare en face. Un parking privé fermé la nuit. Un petit déjeuner excellent. Très bon rapport qualité prix. N'hésiterai pas à recommander et à revenir l'an prochain pour notre retour de cure si loto dans le coin. Merci

un étendage pour le linge mouillé (serviettes, maillots de bains) serait un plus. Nous avons passé un bon séjour et avons bien dormi. Le petit déjeuner est très fourni. nous n'avons pas pu tester le restaurant. Je le recommanderai pour son rapport qualité prix.

L' Oliviera hotel ligt bij het station van Cognac maar van het treinverkeer totaal geen overlast. Viendelijk personeel, een internationaal ontbijt en goede hygiéne op badkamer, slaapkamer en toilet. Jammer dat het restaurant op vrijdagavond dicht was ( inclusief bar). Maar de stad Cognac heeft n prachtig gezellig centrum met vele pubs en eetlocaties.

Très satisfaits du type d'hébergement (chambre de plein pied) , de la piscine impeccable...et chauffée ,
la climatisation appréciable par un temps chaud , le petit déjeuner très varié. Et aussi l'accueil chaleureux de notre hôtesse. Un plus serait un petit frigo dans les logements.

les petits déjeuners sont bien achalandés, il y a du choix, de la fraîcheur au niveau des produits
le déjeuner maison est bon, les entrées à volonté copieuses et bien diversifiées, le plat principal copieux et la formule intéressante (incluant un café)
un personnel qui est à l'écoute, souriant et prêts à donner un plan et des informations pour se diriger au sein de la ville

Very disappointed that no dinners at weekends - mile walk to find food. Everything locked up on a Sunday, couldn’t get in or out with car. Safety issue with lack of staff at weekend.

We told you that we were unable to get to the hotel before 9 as we had to drive from
Roscoff.We returned your email immediately about getting access but never received a reply.We tried phoning but never got an answer.
We got down to Cognac but the hotel was deserted so we had to find another.
If this is the way you treat your clients, you don't deserve customers

The city of Cognac leaves dual impression. On the one hand, this is an empty city full of grey and dark old buildings. On the other hand, this is the Hôtel l'Oliveraie and (especially!) the quality of services and the attention of the administration therein, which is of utmost importance. Besides, a clean room and wonderful frech-style petit-dejeuner. Thanks a lot! You have colored our stay in Cognac!

Rapport qualité/prix, on n'y est pas. D'autres établissement sur Cognac proposaient des hébergements au même tarif mais en 3 étoiles. Nous avions choisi celui-ci en pensant trouver une atmosphère plus familiale et cocooning. Nous avons vraiment été déçu par la chambre au décor spartiate et sans chaleur.

Very helpful staff

Je connais cet hôtel depuis 5 ou 6 ans. Quand je viens rendre visite à ma famille en Charente (COGNAC) je préfère descendre à cet hôtel plutôt qu'à un autre de la ville. L'accueil est charmant, aimable et les chambres sont impeccables.

It seems there was only one lady looking after the hotel when we stayed & no food available other than breakfast.We were given machine generated wifi login info & codes for each gadget (iPhone & iPad) but signal could it be found by iPhone in the room.
I did it trouble the lady in charge as she had enough to do even though it was inconvenient for me

De passage pour 4 jours dans la region, nous avons passé un agreable sejour a L'Oliveraie ! Personnel agreable, chambre confortable et piscine exterieure chauffée ! Nous recommandons.

Nous sommes restés une seule nuit mon mari et moi même et notre petite fille nous y avons passé une très bonne nuit et je le conseille car restaurant sur place nous y avons très bien mangé et le lendemain matin le petit déjeuner très copieux,De forte chance que l'on s y arrêtent l'année prochaine et je l ai conseillé a mes enfants

A good quality hotel for a good price. Clean, friendly and comfortable enough for the price. Good breakfast and good restaurant. would stay here again.

drab decor in the bedrooms. In need of an update. The ceiling fan only worked with the light on so not much use at night time! The layout off food at breakfast was poor and chaotic. Items were not laid out in a logical or easily accessible order which caused congestion for the 8 of us breakfasting at the same time. We liked the fact that the room opened out to the garden. Despite the proximity to the station, there was no noise and we slept very well

The hotel offers value for money. It is easy to find and within easy walking distance of the town centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Major exception being no apparent action on request to reduce room nighttime temperature. WiFi poor in room but ok in bar. We would stay again.
