We stayed in the annex. The room was very decent, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Two minor drawbacks: the bathroom was a bit cramped and the soundproofing could be improved. But the welcome was very warm.

Das Bad im Zimmer unterm Dach war für uns zu tief. Beim Bett musste man auch wegen der Dachschräge vorsichtig sein. Ist nur für kleine Personen geeignet. Mein Mann ist 1.91 groß, das war für uns nicht so angenehm. Man musste immer auf den Kopf aufpassen.
Reinigungskraft wollte am Morgen ohne Anklopfen ins Zimmer. Ein Hänger für „Bitte nicht stören“ wäre nützlich. Das gibt es leider in keinem Logis Hotel.

We stayed at the Hôtel du Cerf with our group for a business trip at the end of September 2025, and were delighted with our stay. The welcome is warm and professional, with a team that is always smiling and available. The services are of high quality: the rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated, and some have been recently renovated. The quietness of the place is also very appreciable. The buffet breakfast is excellent: varied, generous, with fresh, quality products - a great way to start the day! The private parking is a plus, practical and secure. We highly recommend this establishment and thank the entire team for a very pleasant stay.

Passing through on my journey along the Loire, my bike and I found a very friendly welcome, quick to respond to our expressed or unexpressed expectations. A spotless, spacious and well-equipped room offered me some much-needed calm. A new decor, sober but tasteful. Let's not even talk about the breakfast; a gem where the team's attention to detail is fully expressed! And boiled eggs please! It didn't take much for me to leave full of energy and a light heart towards a new stage...

When I booked online, due to a mistake on my part, I contacted the hotel by phone, and the person who answered me did everything to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. When we arrived, we were very well received. The person who received us explained the hotel's terms and conditions (parking access, gate code, breakfast times, etc.). She also gave us a map of the city with a short walk through all the sights to discover, and with the different restaurants for dinner. Regarding breakfast, I think it is possible to improve it, even if we have to pay a little more (compared to the buffet breakfasts in hotels on the Belgian coast!)

We usually stay here for one night once or twice a year. The welcome, cleanliness, kindness, quality of service and bedding are always there. The breakfast is generous and varied, with homemade products on offer, making it hard to resist. Parking is available inside the hotel, which is very pleasant depending on the season and safe. The hotel is very well located for walks on the Cabal Bridge and visiting the surrounding area. Plus, they accept dogs. Good value for money.

Note the secure access to the hotel car park, where you can park your vehicle with confidence. The decor is cozy, the room is spotless and the bedding is high-quality, and the breakfast is generous. We arrived early as we rode from Sancerre and our room was ready. They had a nice storage for our bikes which was totally secure. This was a Monday and we couldn’t find anywhere to have a drink but our hotel did. The owner was very friendly and even gave me a sample of one of the beers. The bldg for the rooms are in the back which makes it super quiet since it is not on the main road and also has A/C. The only minus of our stay was the wifi, it kept dropping in and out. The shower is also very nice and can be super warm but it does spill out a bit

If there are a few points for improvement, I would say: the somewhat sad bathroom (room 31), and the access to the 2nd floor. Very nice room. I would have liked to have a good comfortable armchair. In addition, the television being far from the bed, having tinnitus, I could not hear anything. The sound being blocked, I was forced to sit on a chair 1 meter from the television, to watch my soap opera. Next time I will come with my "hearing aid" ...... Congratulations to your hotel! As soon as I arrived, I felt welcomed in a warm, authentic and high-end hotel. Really nice! Comforting and family atmosphere. The secure parking is a real plus and the cars are visible from the room! Full breakfast! A few small details could be improved: it would be good to have power outlets near the bedside tables, a slightly larger TV screen, and review the sizes of the towels. But I will come back with pleasure if I need to sleep in the area again!

Well located hotel close to the city center with private parking. Our large room overlooked the private garden. The friendly welcome is most pleasant. Hearty and complete breakfast. All this makes it a perfect place to discover Briare and its surroundings.

We had stayed overnight in Briare previously on our way home from Pays Basque to Calais. we stayed previously in a small hotel by the side of the canal but on this occasion wanted to be nearer the town center and restaurants as it was a Sunday night. Le Cerf is a delightful hotel close to all amenities with the most pleasant and helpful staff. We shall certainly use it again in the future.

Friendly, considerate welcome, with a smile. Very satisfactory comfort and appreciable closed parking. Close to the center.

A few practical problems (faulty reading light and bathroom-WC door impossible to close) upon our arrival were resolved within 48 hours. Each room door is equipped with a "bellboy" who causes the door to slam loudly every time someone enters or leaves their room. This is very noisy and starts as early as 7am as some customers are early risers. Impossible to sleep beyond that! It's really not comfortable, especially when you're on vacation and you want peace and quiet in your sleep. The owner of the place was informed of this but he told us that it was voluntary in order to wake up the customers so that they did not forget to go and have breakfast. I leave it to everyone to assess the relevance of their response. As far as we are concerned, we will not return there even though it was a hotel that we appreciated and it was our third stay.

Very friendly and accommodating hotelier. A secure bicycle garage with the possibility of recharging batteries is very pleasant. The bedding was very comfortable. The hearty and varied breakfast with fresh fruit.

We had already spent a night there a few years ago and had fond memories of it. In addition, the position of the hotel saves us the return trip in the same day from Clermont-Ferrand to the Paris region, taking a break on the way back and not returning until the next day.
