Very pretty mountain-style room
A hotel of character and charm. The hosts were lovely, room very comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was very nice.
Cold welcome. A problem with the breakfasts I had booked on the Logis-Hotels website, but we couldn't have them because we had to leave very early. The hotel owner was uncooperative because of a commission issue.
Hôtel Restaurant de la Chaussée a great choice for a 4-day stay in Lyon. Our accommodation was in newly refurbished house across the street from the hotel. We had opted for small accommodation - much more luxurious rooms can be reserved for a modest extra charge are available - which proved to be very satisfactory, especially in that we had a small kitchen with fridge, etc. for our exclusive use.
We had evening meals in the hotel restaurant. Decor, food and service all excellent. Enclosed car parking is available nearby for a very modest price.
The hotel's location is excellent with easy access to the Vauban City and to the Prorel lifts which offers fine walks and panoramic views of Briancon and the surrounding Alpine peaks.
Very friendly staff. Great to have a secure parking space in the busy city. Best sleep I have for a while. Walkable to all areas in the city. Cosy room with lovely snow themed decor and excellent shower. Microwave oven for cooking plus a kettle and toaster. Need to provide your own condiments and tea and coffee.
