Restaurant la Gentilhommière

The room was fine, but no water in the morning, and I wasn't the only one. No choice on the evening stopover meal, a starter and the same for the main course and dessert. No staff at breakfast and the offer is limited.

The hotel is set in lovely grounds and our room was modern and spacious. Excellent dinner but breakfast was a disappointment.

After a traumatic encounter at eurotunnel I thought we would barely reach the hotel before midnight let alone have the meal which we had booked in eager anticipation. As it happened we made it with 5 minutes to spare before the kitchens closed. The meal was worth the travails of the day. Delicious, beautifully presented and welcoming staff. 5 star. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast however was very disappointing. Luke warm coffee, questionable croissants and rather impersonal. We would go again. 100%. But we would not take breakfast there unless it had improved.

The meal (dinner) was excellent. The setting is beautiful, inside and outside. The room was a little disappointing, and had a peculiar smell.

It is a beautiful place rather comfortable and very well renovated. The evening meal and rather good, without being up to the price. As for the breakfast, it leaves something to be desired: No one is present for a particular request, there is no water, no fruit, no cereals, no salty food available,... the service is therefore far from the price we pay!

Séjour très agréable dans le cadre d'un déplacement professionnel. Tout est parfait l'accueil, la chambre confortable et le dîner.

une grande déconvenue de constater en arrivant que l'établissement accueillait un mariage. Nous étions venus pour faire une étape reposante et non pour nous associer à une fête. Malgré la gentillesse du personnel qui a tout fait pour limiter les désagréments, nous avons été contraints de nous adapter : restaurant réservé au mariage, plateau petit déjeuner digne d'une chaine hôtelière, chambres sonores (on entendait les conversations de l'accueil), accès wifi non joignable (chambre 3) ... L'établissement se recentre très clairement vers l'événementiel au détriment de sa fonction initiale hôtelière et restauration. Il nous faudra trouver une autre étape lors de nos déplacements dans la région.

Très bel hôtel.
Seul point négatif, le matin où à l'accueil et au petit-déjeuner, il n'y a aucun personnel de l'hôtel. Problématique lorsque l'on a besoin.

Les +: cadre agréable, chambres spacieuses, confortables et bien équipées. Accueil agréable.
Les -: Petit déjeuner très décevant, aucun choix.
Pour le dîner, si vous êtes en soirée étape, pas de choix: une tranche de pâté, un pavé de saumon et une part de gâteau. Pour les personnes ayant des petits soucis de santé, au moins proposer une tomate ou une crudités en entrée et une salade de fruits en dessert ou un yaourt. Ça ne vous coûtera pas plus cher.
