Very pleasant stay
Excellent establishment, well located, clean and welcoming. Ideal for a restful and relaxing stay. Superior quality catering.

Neither professional nor friendly. A disappointing and icy experience (literally and figuratively) at this hotel. We arrived well after 4 pm, and there was no one at reception. We saw a vague sign directing us to the restaurant, so we transferred our luggage there, which was also closed, and there was no one in sight. We returned to the hotel entrance, but still no one was there. It took four phone calls (!) to finally get through to someone who told us that "a colleague will be here soon." (No mobile number was provided, so otherwise, we usually just got a landline answering machine.) Fifteen minutes later, still no one. I made a fifth phone call, and they hung up on me. This time, someone finally arrived. Not a smile, not a word of apology. They told me that the reservation hadn't been made through Logis de France. I showed them the reservation on my phone and offered—to help—to note down the reservation number, but I was told to leave. The check-in process was long and tedious, the receptionist was unfriendly and certainly not welcoming. The reception area wasn't heated; it was freezing. No apology was offered in the end. Upon arrival, the room was also freezing, and the bathroom could easily have been cleaner. (Photos are available on Google reviews!) Hospitality should also include a welcoming atmosphere and, above all, a smile. It wouldn't be difficult to do better, but we certainly won't be checking. This will be our last visit to the Hôtel du Rhône, which we do not recommend.
