Problem with the booking date (wrong arrival day). If the price of the rooms is correct, the price of the catering (dinner at €38 with a limited choice and very very classic breakfast at €16) are in line with the magnificent setting of the abbey.
A few kilometers away you can find rooms that are half the price... (Roiffé golf course)
Lovely hotel in superb location.
We love Croix Blanche. Our only slight negative is that we were here for 4 nights and Megan to fu d the menu a little limiting. Having said that the food we had was delicious!!
We went forward, in eleven days we didn't! Ruime kamer, mooi ingericht, zoals heel het hotel trouwens. Midden op het dorpsplein, zoals enkel in the French platteland mogelijk is. Have dinner for your meal.
Magnificent establishment, very friendly welcome both in the hotel and in the restaurant. Delicious dishes. A little lack of soundproofing for the room.

very beautiful place just opposite the Fontevraud Abbey, ideal for a visit. The hotel is very good, quiet and clean. The restaurant: we ate very well there. I would like to add an additional motion on the professionalism, kindness and benevolence of the staff and management when my partner felt unwell at the restaurant having to call for help and a passage through the emergency room of the Saumur hospital, more than afraid only of harm. Very nice welcome and helpful; staff with a good meal at the restaurant, outside on a lovely warm evening..Good parking for our motorcycle. Excellent town centre location. A good stopover, would like to have stayed longer to explore.
A return to this hotel after a few years. Last visit I was very impressed on return I was disappointed.

Very good hotel. The restaurant and the breakfast are tasty. We enjoyed the swimming pool in these hot weather. The staff is very pleasant and helpful ...... except the manager of the dinner time slots! We had booked several days in advance a dinner at 8:00 p.m., then finally it was 8:30 p.m.!! All this, it seems, because of the delay of customers who came later than expected. Strange to penalize customers who respect the schedules! All this in a not very pleasant tone, no doubt she is sensitive to high heat ...... We will still be happy to come back to this establishment.

Beautiful looking hotel in lovely location but let down by poor service and disappointing evening menu. The breakfast was the worst part of our experience. It was exceedingly poor with very limited choice - definitely not worth 16 euros. We felt the hotel was living on its location .
Good signage to car park; well appointed hotel with pleasant courtyard; good welcome at reception; spacious room with comfortable mattress; toweling dressing-gowns provided; good restaurant which catered well for a special diet; good breakfast options.

We thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at La Croix Blanche to celebrate a birthday. Everything from online reservation, pre arrival communication, reception and service was exceptional.
