Warm welcome, very good bedding, air-conditioned and comfortable room
Nice accommodation at the entrance to the fortified town of Montflanquin. Good value for money.
Hotel closed in the afternoon, without prior notice. Forced to wait outside where it was very hot. Breakfast where we were asked to reserve pastries and they were not available. Never seen before!

We have mixed feelings about the hotel. The lady when we arrived was lovely. Our room was pleasant, but lacked somewhere to sit other than on the bed (which kept moving if leaning against the wall). The sheets were cotton and clean, but not fitted, so every night was a wrestling match.
We were asked if we wanted our beds done the first morning, we said we were ok, but didn’t expect not to be asked again (we were there 5 nights). Had to ask for toilet rolls, no sugar or tea was replaced, and our cups were taken and not replaced and no bins emptied for the five nights, very poor!!
Breakfast was stated in the book as finishing at 10am, however we were told in no uncertain terms that we were late (9:15) the first morning, and that it was 9:30 it finished (however this happened when a different lady was there 3 mornings, not the one on reception, she was very nice and cleared away the food at 10am).. We went down one morning and they had not wrote it down we wanted some, so we didn’t get anything. Always felt we were being watched by the other lady, breakfast was cleared away dead on 9:30, she never asked if we were finished, she just did it. We had slimy eggs one morning so didn’t eat them, therefore we didn’t get any eggs the next day? Lack of choice unless you wanted cake, no cereals at all. The last morning, the hotel was full and the breakfast selection was not great for the €11 per person anyway, they ran out of a lot of things, and they had to keep going to the bakers and butchers and 3 times we had to ask for something (including plates). I wouldn’t bother with breakfast!!
To make matters worse, as mentioned our cups were taken from the room and not replaced, but because they padlock both dining areas (including breakfast room which had nothing in) we couldn’t make ourselves a drink when we got back at 21:45 one evening.
There is no where to sit other than your room, so disappointing.
Like I said the lady on reception was very nice, we had a problem getting in one night, I called and she was there within minutes.
All in all it was fairly cheap, and a good location, but I wouldn’t stay again just don’t expect too much.
