Beautiful establishment and excellent food

The hotel is ideally located for those who don't want to continue on the A1 to Lille on their way home to the Netherlands. It has a large private car park that closes in the evening. A big plus is that a huge park is adjacent to the hotel, ideal for a stroll and a great place to walk the dog. The hotel is rather spartan but adequate. The rooms are small (20m²), but everything is neat and clean. The bathroom is even smaller, and even there everything is adequate, but not very comfortable. The shower head and drain could use some attention. We've reported this to the hotel. The restaurant was somewhat disappointing. It didn't help that we were the only guests. We got the impression that a lot of food had been reheated from the refrigerator. For breakfast, you had to specify in advance what you wanted. There was no breakfast buffet, which wasn't entirely surprising considering there were only three other guests.

Terrible. Took our name to check in then literally gave us the key and then ran - yes ran away. No information. Nothing. Which would have been helpful as there was a private event on so after a very long time waiting on someone we found out you actually aren’t allowed to get a drink or even sit in the garden area in their view and since there is NOTHING else but a tabac in town that is open it’s pretty pointless of a stay as the “bar” isn’t actually a “bar” and the restaurant is only open 7-8.30pm. . We used it as a stop over for the tunnel but will never stay again not even worth that.

Lovely little hotel in the converted stables of old manor . Staff very friendly and efficient, excellent breakfast and good dinner. Very clean and perfectly located just off the main routes in a pleasant little village. Ideal for exploring Flanders, the Louvre 2 at Lens or a first night after crossing from the UK.

Very convenient location for overnight stop convenient for tunnel or ferry on outward or inward trip. Plenty of car parking and close to motorway connections. Quiet comfortable bedrooms and plenty on ground floor - no lift. Restaurant not open Sunday evenings.

Perfectly adequate for a stopover en route and very convenient for the motorway. Good buffet breakfast but dinner menu does not really justify the 'gourmand' description and the 'savoureux' classification by Logis de France.

To be honest, the food we had in the restaurant was one of the best meals I've ever had, and many congratulations must go to the chef. The steak was so flavoursome and the creme brulee, brownie and ice cream was a delight!
The hotel building looks very characterful from the outside but i thought our room was average with carpets wanting a change, the shower seat looked a little grim and a redecate would make the whole place outstanding!

A friendly welcome, clean and comfortably furnished rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi, attentive service in the restaurant with delicious food. A good breakfast in the morning.

A very quiet relaxing place. Unfotunately w hen checking our bill we had been charged for breakfasts we had not had. Chargecwas quickly removed. After leaving at at our next place we looked again at the bill & found we had been charged for a bottle of wine rather than a glass.!

We came for one night for 2 people: in the bathroom, towels for one person only. No shower gel, only shampoo and broken faucets (impossible to block the shower head at a height). Also need to descale the shower head. In the room, only one small bottle of water for two. The bathroom door did not close completely. A bit limited in terms of privacy. This hotel is very beautiful from the outside but could do with some renovations on the room side. Restaurant side: nickel! Very nice room, we ate very well in the evening and at breakfast which is worth the detour. The service was also very good. Too bad the room lowers our overall rating.

Hello, Good stay, except for breakfast or although not late (8:40) there were no pastries, and according to the person who was at the reception it was unfortunately no longer possible to serve them although my only pleasure of breakfast at the hotel is a hot chocolate and croissants. I made the payment for my stay without batting an eyelid, hoping for a small discount on breakfast during a future visit to your establishment. Kind regards

A very pleasant overnight stay. Excellent meal in the restaurant. Being a bit unstable on my feet, a downstairs room was rapidly provided.

Very appreciated stopover evening, the evening meal is of good quality but the service is a bit slow. There are just a few small things missing for breakfast for the standing of the establishment (egg / choice of cheese) The staff is very pleasant

Stayed here several times and quality is consistently high. Convenient for Le Shuttle and Ferries for an initial or final stop with adequate parking. Demi pension offers good value. Restuarant menu is limited but always offers Chefs specials which are well worth trying.

Small but well presented room that looks like has been renovated in recent years. Lovely garden and terrace to enjoy a drink or even dinner weather permitting. Wifi was good with good speeds.

Good range of wines by bottle and glass including champagne and reasonably priced. Menu is a la carte, again reasonably priced and we had a good meal.

Hotel within easy reach of the A26 and around 1 hour from Calais.

In the accommodation there are things to improve easily towel rack and coat rack in the bathroom, adapt the bedside tables to the width of the bed

We always stay at Logis Hotels which we regard as the best hotel chain in Europe. The Manoir de Gavrelle did not disappoint. Everything from the welcome to the departure was very satisfying. The grounds were lovely; it was tempting to have an impromptu football kick-about in the large flat garden connected to the outdoor sitting areas. The food was well up to the "Savoreux" rating.

Hello, A remark on the bedding and the state of the bathroom a little shabby. But overall a pleasant establishment to live in. Kind regards.

In advance of my one night stay at the Logis hotel in Gavrelle the hotel informed me that on the Saturday evening the restaurant was closed. I was aware of this and we dined at another restaurant. What the hotel did not tell me was that there was a wedding that afternoon and evening and as a consequence we could not: sit in the garden, access any of the outside areas. Having checked in we went to Arras and on our return we asked if we could have drinks. Not possible because of the wedding and we were directed to a roadside cafe 100 yards down the road. When we returned from our evening meal the wedding festivities were in full swing and went on until the early hours of Sunday morning. if I had been informed of any aspect of this I would not have stayed at this hotel on this particular night. This was the last night of our holiday in France and was utterly spoilt by a lack of customer care and consideration. Thanks a lot!!

Stayed here on several occasions and impressed by consistent high standard. Ideally situated close to Calais and Le Shuttle for an initial or last stop in France before travelling. Adequate car parking in secure situation. Restaurant offers imaginative dishes to suit all tastes. Pleasant surroundings.

Excellent all round with good food both evening and breakfast. Superb garden, small wood and direct access to fields were ideal for dog owners.

Room pleasant but slightly dated and very small. Pleasant terrace for a drink before dinner. Food good, starters very overpriced. Wines good and well priced. Service fine. When I paid the bill at check-out I had a closer look and realised we had been charged for two bottles of wine rather than two glasses. Rather than someone apologise to me I was told I ought to have checked the bill more closely. A few lessons in customer service needed.

Booked as an overnight stay en route to our main holiday location. Could not have chosen better. Easy to access, secure parking, friendly and helpful staff. We relaxed in the garden with drinks from the bar and felt our holiday had already begun. Dinner was excellent, good quality ingredients, beautifully presented, and delicious. Breakfast was a continental buffet, with decent coffee!

Comfortable room, good restaurant, excellent breakfast and friendly staff - and the perfect location close to the A26 as we were travelling back to Calais after a holiday elsewhere in France. We will probably use this hotel again on our next trip to France. The only criticism we have is of the over-bath shower in the bathroom - it needs a proper shower rail/head so that you can shower under it rather than have to hold it in your hand as you wash. Be aware that if they are hosting a wedding (as they were when we stayed) then parking may be limited and dinner may be a little later than usual - but this shouldn't be a problem on most days. Most rooms are upstairs and there is no lift (as is quite common in many Logis hotels) - so again this may be an issue for some people to consider.

This is a great Logis Hotel. We have stayed several times and on every occasion the standards have been excellent.

This is the first accommodation in 7 years for more than 100€ per evening in which I had to sleep in a very small bed. Small bed with an obviously small duvet, and to top it all off without any heating. Neither in the bedroom nor in the bathroom. Neither worked.

I had paid Exoedia for the 2 rooms that we had booked, and they said that they had paid the hotel, but the hotels accounting system had not shown this payment for our account. The Lady on the reception desk was good, but obviously your accounts system is at fault and needs sorting out as the Lady at reception said that this happens regularly with Expedia and Booking. com. We wasted over an hour while Expedia tried to sort this out.
The Retaurant meal was very poor as the beef was very tough and my Wife could not eat it. The dauphinaise potato was grey - Was it reheated?

Good establishment, very good restaurant, a little expensive outside the evening stopover, from one room to another the quality of the bedding and the general condition may vary but overall, I recommend!
