Man sollte unbedingt Französisch sprechen.
Madame,
cordialement,

Very cozy, quiet, very clean, very functional hotel, everything you need for an unforgettable stay with very attentive staff, top-notch bedding. The best hotel I have ever stayed in, my husband will be back, he was very satisfied.
Very good, the welcome, the cleanliness of the rooms
Exceptional environment, perfect welcome, delicious meal. We will return
Very friendly host. Great accommodation and meals. We will be back.
great location with a very friendly and warm team
Perdu dans la nature, the Bouton d'Or is an extraordinary experience!
I am not sure that there is enough room to describe how bad this was. I chose this hotel because of the description of the facility and I believe that it was very misleading. To begin with, the location is indeed a the end of a forest road but that is a scarry drive at night, in the rain, and many kilometers from a medium sized town. Next, there was a language barrier unlike any we have ever experienced in France. We speak english and neither of the individuals that took care of us did or would. We had to try to communicate through our Google translator or a computer translator. This did not help at all. I immediately stated that I wanted to cancel the second nights stay and requested a refund. The manager refused to accommodate me. I explained that my wife has a heart condition and we never know when we may need medical assistance, which meant we needed to be closer to a town with medical facilities. She still refused. They showed me to our room and it was quite small with few amenities. We decided that because of the language barrier, and what we saw in the restaurant with other guests that were struggling to figure out what to order for dinner, we would simply dine on our luncheon food we keep with us when traveling. To get to our room we had to carry all of our luggage up a stairway to the "balcony", which is nothing more than a covered walkway. There is not a view from the balcony of the valley, as suggested in the write up, but there is one of the side of the hill top we were on. All night long the lights from the balcony were flipping on an off, apparently because other guests kept going out and smoking during the night. The smell of cigarette smoke would make its way into the room so badly that it actually woke us up. The walls of the rooms were so thin that you could hear guests unzipping their luggage when they would arrive and one of our "neighbors" was quite sick during the night which you could also hear very clearly. In the morning we showered and dressed, packed our luggage, and went to the car where we found the parking area to be a muddy mess and cars squeezed in because of inadequate parking. We chose to leave this place because of the staff's rudeness, the poor facility, and the distance to a medical facility. As I said then and here, we needed to be closer to a medical facility if my wife needed help. As I alluded to, we have traveled in France for years and love the country and its people. We especially love the Alsace region, but had we stayed at this place when we first started traveling there more than two decades ago, I am not sure we would have ever gone back. DON'T STAY HERE especially if you are english speaking. All they want is your money, they are not looking out for your comfort and certainly not wanting to alleviate any concerns. We never got our money back for the second night's stay that we had to forfeit. If they cared about taking care of guests they would have honored that request. We ended up going back to Colmar the morning of what was to be our second day at this terrible facility and got a wonderful room at the B&B Hotel. That hotel took good care of us and we will certainly go back there the next time we are in the area. Save your money for a good place like the B&B Hotel and don't waste it on a place like Le Bouton d'Or in Lapoutroie.
What a great discovery and therefore a great experience. Very warm welcome. Help with hiking. Very clean, cozy, pleasant room, nothing is missing. Worth much more than a two-star! Superbly located in the heart of the Vosges, surrounded by meadows and forest.
Superb location and excellent restaurant. The calm is respected in nature with a dazzling view. Top breakfast!
Very pleasant, attentive and friendly staff. Great quiet location with a beautiful view. We really enjoyed it
Quiet en perfect hospitality!
A great hotel with very good food, we would love to come back.
We were travelling by motorbike, the hotel is in a quiet location and easy to reach. Breakfast and the restaurant are recommended, the food is very good. We would be happy to come back.
Overall very pleasant one night stay. Very pleasant staff, lovely location and nice room. Only slightly disappointing aspect was the confusion over the fact that we had pre booked an evening meal and our waitress didn't appear to know what this meant and what we could or could not have from the menu. Ended up being a set menu which I thought was expensive that is why I have rated value for money at 4 stars rather than five.
A highly recommended place
An exceptional place. , delicious cuisine, a remarkable view
Everything is perfect, the quiet place in nature Very beautiful renovation of this farm with great comfort and very friendly hosts
beautiful hotel, warm mountain type. very good cuisine, friendly staff and owners, remarkable view of the valley. Quite difficult access to get to the hotel (+/- 10 from the village) the road is narrow the crossings are difficult with other vehicles, but that makes the experience more beautiful
We tend to cite the Liégeois as having their hand on their heart but in this sign, they have their hearts in their hands!
