Comfortable, quiet, and well-located hotel. Friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast and dinner with a good selection and variety. I had a pleasant stay.
Conveniently located near the city. Spacious and high-quality room. Ideal for a relaxing holiday, sightseeing, or business trip.
We stayed in the annex. The room was very decent, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Two minor drawbacks: the bathroom was a bit cramped and the soundproofing could be improved. But the welcome was very warm.

Das Bad im Zimmer unterm Dach war für uns zu tief. Beim Bett musste man auch wegen der Dachschräge vorsichtig sein. Ist nur für kleine Personen geeignet. Mein Mann ist 1.91 groß, das war für uns nicht so angenehm. Man musste immer auf den Kopf aufpassen.
Reinigungskraft wollte am Morgen ohne Anklopfen ins Zimmer. Ein Hänger für „Bitte nicht stören“ wäre nützlich. Das gibt es leider in keinem Logis Hotel.

We stayed at the Hôtel du Cerf with our group for a business trip at the end of September 2025, and were delighted with our stay. The welcome is warm and professional, with a team that is always smiling and available. The services are of high quality: the rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated, and some have been recently renovated. The quietness of the place is also very appreciable. The buffet breakfast is excellent: varied, generous, with fresh, quality products - a great way to start the day! The private parking is a plus, practical and secure. We highly recommend this establishment and thank the entire team for a very pleasant stay.

Passing through on my journey along the Loire, my bike and I found a very friendly welcome, quick to respond to our expressed or unexpressed expectations. A spotless, spacious and well-equipped room offered me some much-needed calm. A new decor, sober but tasteful. Let's not even talk about the breakfast; a gem where the team's attention to detail is fully expressed! And boiled eggs please! It didn't take much for me to leave full of energy and a light heart towards a new stage...

When I booked online, due to a mistake on my part, I contacted the hotel by phone, and the person who answered me did everything to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. When we arrived, we were very well received. The person who received us explained the hotel's terms and conditions (parking access, gate code, breakfast times, etc.). She also gave us a map of the city with a short walk through all the sights to discover, and with the different restaurants for dinner. Regarding breakfast, I think it is possible to improve it, even if we have to pay a little more (compared to the buffet breakfasts in hotels on the Belgian coast!)

We usually stay here for one night once or twice a year. The welcome, cleanliness, kindness, quality of service and bedding are always there. The breakfast is generous and varied, with homemade products on offer, making it hard to resist. Parking is available inside the hotel, which is very pleasant depending on the season and safe. The hotel is very well located for walks on the Cabal Bridge and visiting the surrounding area. Plus, they accept dogs. Good value for money.

Note the secure access to the hotel car park, where you can park your vehicle with confidence. The decor is cozy, the room is spotless and the bedding is high-quality, and the breakfast is generous. We arrived early as we rode from Sancerre and our room was ready. They had a nice storage for our bikes which was totally secure. This was a Monday and we couldn’t find anywhere to have a drink but our hotel did. The owner was very friendly and even gave me a sample of one of the beers. The bldg for the rooms are in the back which makes it super quiet since it is not on the main road and also has A/C. The only minus of our stay was the wifi, it kept dropping in and out. The shower is also very nice and can be super warm but it does spill out a bit

If there are a few points for improvement, I would say: the somewhat sad bathroom (room 31), and the access to the 2nd floor. If you want to feel right at home, this is the place for you. The location is perfect, with plenty of restaurants nearby and close to the marina. The innkeepers are a very welcoming, cheerful couple who are always available! I stay here on my business trips, I love Briare, and I feel completely at home in this hotel—it's perfect. The owner gives you great recommendations, including which restaurants are open and which are closed!
