This has to be a mixed review based on our overall findings. Whilst appreciating our visit was shortly after New Years Day celebrations we were not advised of the unavailability of services. On arrival (in darkness) the Hotel looked closed with no lights and no-one else in the car park. On investigation we found a notice on the open front door advising our room numbers and that keys were in the doors. There was no-one else in the Hotel and no sign of life anywhere. The notice also stated breakfast times for the next day. Our room allocations were very comfortable and clean and disabled access was very well provided. The restaurant was closed that evening and also the next morning for breakfast despite the information on our arrival notice. The front door remained open all night which did raise a few security concerns based on the location of the Hotel close to the where there had been protests by farmers who were blocking access roads all over the area. We did not want to venture too far from the Hotel to find meals so settled for a take away variety from a local supermarket to eat in our room. We made an early departure next day and found a patisserie open for breakfast in the town. I reiterate that we accept the time of our visit may have made this review less than satisfactory and a visit at another time may well be much better but we should have been advised in advance and may have made alternative arrangements.
