Hotel and restaurant: very good, no complaints. We had a great weekend. We just think the lakeside area needs cleaning and landscaping. We had dinner at the restaurant last May and the grounds were exactly the same, which is a shame because the view and access to the lake could be much nicer. The season is just starting and perhaps the landscaping hasn't been done yet…

A calm place in a soothing setting. Nature walks, abbey, lake, nearby waterfalls, and delicious and delicate cuisine at the hotel restaurant.

We've been coming to this establishment for 12 years and have never been disappointed. The staff are always pleasant, and the food is always delicious.

We were a little disappointed with the spa; the pool wasn't heated as advertised, and the hammam wasn't very warm either, even though we waited a full hour before going in. The wait at the restaurant was rather long. On the other hand, the location is incredible, right next to the abbey lake, offering a magnificent view and a very pleasant setting.

There's nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. The place has a beautiful view of the lake, and the pool, jacuzzi, sauna...

The rooms are pleasant, quite spacious, and well-equipped (refrigerator) for the standard. The bathrooms are well-equipped but a bit cramped and lack a clothes-drying rack (the same applies to the bedrooms). The restaurant is pleasant, offering a varied menu and good portions. The breakfast room overlooks the lake, and the breakfast itself is good, local, and plentiful. The wellness area is a pleasant surprise, although rather dated and lacking sufficient chairs/armchairs to accommodate everyone. The biggest issue is the cleanliness of this area; the footbath is out of order, and the sauna and steam room operate on an alternating schedule, requiring you to notify reception the day before. The hotel's location, quiet but away from the nearest town, allows you to fully appreciate the lake.

Great hotel and restaurant, impeccable pool and spa, I recommend it.

Excellent service in every respect! Ideal in winter for downhill or cross-country skiing, as it's located less than 20 minutes from the slopes with virtually guaranteed snow, or, if the winter is mild, the cross-country trails start practically at the hotel. And afterwards: hammam, sauna, and swimming pool. Near the hotel is an equestrian center offering wonderful horseback rides (a minimum riding level of Galop 2, ideally Galop 3, is recommended to fully enjoy them). Superb meals are available with half-board!

The hotel is very well-run, the food is excellent, the view is breathtaking, the waiters are attentive, and the indoor pool is heated, which isn't always the case. The only slight drawback: the owner's somewhat lukewarm welcome. He was neither chatty nor friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at Lou Granva. The only slight downside was that bathrobes cost €5.

Upon arrival, the welcome was very reserved. They forgot to mention that towels were available for loan at the pool. The room wasn't very attractive, but the bed was very comfortable. The hammam wasn't working during our four-day stay. But the most disappointing aspect was the half-board option: the restaurant was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but the half-board service continued. The meals on those two evenings were microwaved and seemed to have come from a defrosted cafeteria. It wasn't good! Breakfast was mediocre for €18, compared to a Mercure hotel where breakfast costs €20. There was no shoe dryer or towel warmer in the room.

The pool was a bit cold, and the half-board menu was fixed two days a week. There's a lack of a lounge area for relaxing in bad weather.

The location and view are magnificent! The pool is very nice, although the water is a bit cold. However, it's quite noisy: late at night, there's the noise of chairs being moved (probably restaurant cleaning), and doors slamming early in the morning... Even though it's good quality, the breakfast is too expensive for the limited selection (brioche, wholemeal bread, pancakes, hard-boiled eggs... would have been nice).

Superb hotel and magnificent setting. Soundproofing needs improvement. The sheets have a wavy texture; perhaps something smoother would be better as they are scratchy. Include a note about the breakfast items (jams, orange juice, etc.). The pool temperature could be increased.

A very beautiful hotel, with tasteful decor, a warm welcome, very comfortable beds, a very nice wellness area which we thoroughly enjoyed, a pool large enough for swimming, a spa, sauna, and hammam. The breakfast is all-you-can-eat and generous. We enjoyed a lovely view of the lake; it had just snowed... A very nice dining room with a pool table and board games, all in a very welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely return and highly recommend it.

As loyal customers of Lou Granva, we just spent four days there on the half-board option, which was mandatory during the holiday season. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality, presentation, and variety of the menus. The service was very welcoming and attentive. We highly recommend it and will definitely return.

The reception was good, and the parking was accessible. The pool was great. The only downside was that the room was far too hot, making it difficult to sleep. The restaurant was very good, but there was no children's menu, which is a shame as it creates waste.

We spent one night in this establishment during our trip in mid-November. The hotel is geographically very well located for motorcycle trips, good welcome in the stopover formula, we ate well and the breakfast was decent, no garage for motorcycles but a parking lot with video surveillance.

We went there with our dog. No problems at all with her, either at the hotel or nearby. In addition, the hotel has a very large park.

Superbly located hotel with a magnificent view of the lake. We weren't able to try the restaurant because it was full, but there are plenty of options 5 minutes away. Comfortable bedding. Very decent breakfast.

Arrived after 5:00 p.m. Very average and very uncomfortable welcome, there must have been a reception because there were a lot of people there and it was very noisy. We had chosen this hotel for the presence of its restaurant and other small services such as parking, wifi... We were quickly informed that we could not eat in the evening at the restaurant and this for the two days it was already full and no arrangement possible. We were told a restaurant nearby but it was closed the next day which meant we had to go outside the village. We did not install wifi, it had not worked since the morning and the person who took care of it was not there. We were seen as the couple of em......r they made us feel it. We called the next hotel on our journey which agreed to receive us a day before with the guarantee of evening meals reserved as a priority for its customers. We therefore shortened our stay by one day without regret. This is the first time in many years that we have been using Logis Hôtel that we are disappointed to this extent, hoping not to have to suffer this type of inconvenience again.

Hello. We have known this hotel for over 10 years. Its location overlooking the lake is its greatest asset. The room renovations are a good thing. Personally, we would prefer to avoid overly "hotel-style" decor and retain a touch of the Jura spirit without going overboard with wood. The food had gone through a rough patch but is now excellent again. A small comment about the single crêpe Suzette; a second one would be fine, especially since the caramel sauce was delicious. Keep improving while maintaining that Jura touch. Sincerely.

A bit of a cold welcome (around 7:30 p.m. though) Wanting to have dinner at the hotel, we were kindly turned away... the establishment being closed from Tuesday lunchtime to Thursday evening, except for meals for half-board... Quite disappointed on this point...🥴

Very pleasant hotel restaurant

It's been 34 years since we held our wedding party in this beautiful hotel on the shores of Lac de L'Abbaye. All our guests were accommodated in the upstairs rooms with its panoramic view of the lake and its fabulous sunset... Well, 34 years later, having become Burgundians in our turn, and on the occasion of my dad's 90th birthday, we were able to live this experience by finally sleeping in one of the beautiful rooms of this family-run hotel offering excellent food! Its breakfasts, served in the veranda area, are excellent? Very varied and are served indoors as well as in good weather outside on the terrace with the old abbey and its church as a backdrop, and its green setting reflecting in the waters of the lake. Thank you Francis and Dolores for being at the helm of this hotel, representing the third generation of this family of Grandvalliers hoteliers. Congratulations on the beautiful facelift in your reception hall. We promise, my husband and I will come back to stay there for a few days to appreciate the peace and serenity, enjoy the good food and admire the landscapes crisscrossed long and long at the wheel of one of our coaches. Good luck and long live the arrival of the 4th generation who will soon take over the helm.

What needs improvement is the outdated state of some elements in the rooms: loose sockets, exposed electrical wires (no cover), worn linens that don't tear, and a wobbly chair. Perhaps adding hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels would be helpful.

We had a very good stay with an impeccable and warm welcome from the staff who were able to perfectly guide us and answer our questions. The room was spacious and the bedding very comfortable, not to mention the breathtaking view of the lake. The half-board menu was varied and delicious and the staff very accommodating to dietary preferences. The plates were gourmet and beautifully presented. A large selection of local and foreign wines allowed us to accompany the dishes harmoniously thanks to the advice of the waiters. The various services provided were well maintained and pleasant. Stay spoiled by a very strong smell of burning, so pungent that it woke us up at night despite the window being open, which appeared halfway through our stay. Reported to the managers who had neither explanation nor solution to offer us. We therefore had to cut our stay short.

For a first we are delighted with our stay in this hotel.

We are delighted to have discovered this hotel in the heart of the Jura region and its magnificent forests. Our room overlooking the lake was very comfortable. The chef delighted us. We will keep this address to return and will spread the word.

Good room but the bathroom is too small and the cleaning needs to be reviewed, especially under the beds.

Overall, the experience was good. The room was adequate for the price, although housekeeping wasn't always top-notch. The restaurant has a lovely terrace, the food was very good, and the service was excellent. The only downside was the breakfast. The value for money was really poor. There was little choice, and several items were missing throughout (for example, cooked ham or bread).

A hotel ideally located for hiking. The welcome and the staff are very warm and smiling. We had half board, the breakfast was generous, sugar, salt...excellent and the dinners very varied, balanced and above all delicious. Refined cuisine and large selection of wines (huge cellar). The only small downside was that the triple room on the lake was old-fashioned and would need a more modern renovation, as would the bathroom (dark brown bathtub). I highly recommend this hotel.

We came to the hotel on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed.

We arrived in a room infested with flies; there were flies all over the floor. We couldn't sleep all night, constantly swatting them away. The next day, I reported it, but no one came to check. They gave me a device that was supposed to kill flies. So I left a message for the cleaning lady. The room hadn't been cleaned; my grandchildren looked under the beds and found it full of dust and dog hair. The following day, after the cleaning lady came, everything was perfect. One small complaint: the restaurant wasn't open for guests who weren't on half-board. We had to drive back from Monday evening until Thursday midday. It's a real shame because the restaurant is excellent. The pool is very nice.

Excellent stay in a family establishment. Mr. in the kitchen is a very good chef and I assure you that he is very friendly! Mrs. at the reception, always with a smile. The amazing view from the room. The silence of the place. The interior and exterior design. Don't be fooled by the 2 stars advertised, it's a 3 without any problem, but not the desire to be classified, we understand. Very good meal with top service. Bravo to the sommelier for his explanation about gentian alcohol. One regret! The weather was very stormy. But the indoor pool is very beautiful. In summary: we will come back.

Very nice hotel in an exceptional setting. Perfect for lovers of peace and nature, yet with all the necessary facilities to relax in the evening after the magnificent walks and hikes that can be done directly from the hotel. (Jacuzzi, hammam, large indoor pool, all very well maintained)

We returned to this hotel, where we had previously stayed in 2020. Everything is almost perfect from a technical standpoint. One drawback: in the bathroom, there's a missing seal at the bottom of the shower screen, making it impossible to shower without water splashing all over the floor. We were in room 109, so for four people, there's practically no space to hang towels. The sink drain plug isn't watertight. The ventilation must be very efficient because there's no grille (this is purely aesthetic). Generally, all the hotel doors creak when opening and closing, and they also make a sharp noise when closing. To fix this, you have to take the doors off their hinges and put a dab of grease (not oil; it drips and can stain clothes) on the female hinge. To prevent slamming, perhaps the door closers need adjusting. Alternatively, sticking a felt pad on the top and bottom of the door frame will dampen the noise. For perfection, the parking spaces should be marked out, as some people need a very large space without considering the neighbor's need for parking. These aren't criticisms, but rather minor details observed by a building professional and, moreover, the mayor of a small town where we're often criticized for trivial matters. Nevertheless, we have very fond memories and would recommend the establishment. Guy MARTINET

Fantastic place, however, it was impossible to have dinner that evening for an unknown reason.

Completely satisfied with our 5-day stay: comfort, location, quality of welcome, and services. The place is very relaxing, the room with a lake view, large and clean; the pool and terrace are easy to access and well-appointed. We had a very good stay. One downside may be the price of the restaurant dishes, a little high, and a menu that would benefit from being a little broader in choice and variety. Electric charging station accessible.

We were somewhat disappointed by the meal at the restaurant, which did not meet our expectations. However, the breakfast was very good, with a wide selection available. The bedding was also very comfortable, which contributed to a good night's sleep. One minor drawback: the lack of air conditioning in the room, combined with a window that didn't open fully, made ventilation difficult.

A truly beautiful and completely relaxing place, nestled on the shores of its lake in a rural mountain setting. The hotel is well-equipped with a magnificent indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a spa cabin, and a hammam. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Regarding the food, we were on half-board; while the first meal of the evening was gourmet, the other meals were more ordinary. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake, which was very pleasant. There were a few minor drawbacks to the accommodation: one evening, our room wasn't cleaned until after 5 pm, so we waited by the pool, thankfully. Some of the duvet covers had holes and could use replacing! Finally, be aware that there is no air conditioning in the rooms; if it's very hot, it's best to air the room well early in the morning and close the blackout curtains (there are no shutters). Curiously, we also noted that no tourist information is available at reception, nor on cultural events or other things... Given the relatively high price of accommodation and food, this explains our reservations.

The location is great, just in front of the lake, as is the terrace with a stunning view. The staff is very kind and helpful. The swimming pool is not easily accessible from the garden, I think this should be fixed; also some renovations here and there are needed. The dinner was good, but the half board had menu only one option, at least two should be the minimum. This place is already good, but it has even greater potential which should be fully exploited!

Establishment with great potential but lacking rigor. Many small details that devalue this hotel restaurant. Alternating every other day between the sauna and the hammam, no footbath (leak), poor sauna lighting, illegible thermometer, defective door seal. No surveillance camera or alarm system in case of problem (Telephone). No access to the outdoor terrace (planned!). No air conditioning in the room (107), impossible to open the window in the evening because of mosquitoes. No refrigerator. Inadequate television position. Lots of bulky objects on the grounds: Pallets, old chairs, tables. No access for disabled people: central door and swimming pool by stairs. Small bathroom. Friendly welcome after calling from the reception counter (minimal staff). Varied menu over 6 days of good quality and generous. Efficient service. Bright restaurant room, different table assigned each evening. Decent breakfast good fruit salad, cheese, cold meats, homemade yogurt. Hot water distribution through the kitchen for the teapot is desirable (4 water pressures on the automatic machine, waiting for other users). Very quiet location, very good soundproofing of the room. Parking in front of the hotel is adequate. Access from the road is very well signposted. Thank you for your welcome. I hope my comments will be constructive in regaining your 3 stars.

Hello, the location is beautiful with a lake view, and the breakfast in the large room with bay windows was magnificent. However: we waited a long time for someone to come to reception upon our arrival, the bathroom was outdated, a seal was missing on the shower wall so the bathroom flooded, and the sink was clogged. The restaurant was closed both nights we stayed without any prior notice, and the hotel doesn't provide any addresses or recommendations for other dining options. To top it all off, our four hubcaps were stolen overnight from the hotel's unsupervised parking lot.

We regularly come to this establishment where we feel good. Magnificent view of the lake and in the middle of a region rich in curiosities and remarkable sites. The restaurant regularly renews the presentation of its regional dishes. During our stay this weekend, we were admirably advised by the sommelier/server, with detailed explanations on the products. We were a little worried about the speed of the service, a group of 30 people dining at the same time as us, but this was not the case: the service was fast and impeccable. We plan to return again this year.

Excellent location. Friendly staff, especially the young waitresses and waiters. Refined and generous cuisine. Quiet. The bathroom could be improved (grab bar and shower installed), and the staircase could be made safer and the elevator could be made functional, so that the establishment can safely accommodate elderly guests.

Lack of facilities for hanging towels in the bathroom, No luck, the elevator was broken, no luck either, the coffee machine was broken and the staff in disarray.

What a shame! Fantastic location, beautiful restaurant, very good dinner and breakfast, rooms a little dated but very clean, magnificent view of the lake...but what a welcome! Already, during a preliminary phone call, I really felt like I was disturbing. The welcome, upon our arrival, was okay, bordering on cold. The same upon our departure, and throughout our stay. Well, still, a little warmth, kindness, is a minimum, for a hotel, right? There, it really "weakened" our stay. Really a shame... Only the lady in service, during dinner, was extremely friendly
