Good, early check-in was possible, which suited our needs. Some rooms are smaller than others, so it's a bit of a gamble.
A pleasant stopover at the Pelican in Vernantes, with a good-sized superior room and a more precise bathroom. Very comfortable bedding, a popular herbal tea room, and a professional welcome. We highly recommend it!
The carpets in the hallways smell musty. The bed was much too narrow. The breakfast was very good.

Welcoming establishment, the rooms are very clean, the restaurant is refined and the dishes are succulent, the staff is pleasant
Excellent welcome and we were very well received. The breakfast was plentiful, varied with many local products whose origin we could see, which is very appreciable. We were not able to taste at the table, as there is also a restaurant. We are very tempted to return during a future stay in the Saumur region and we will not fail to do so then.
No air conditioning
Very warm welcome. The owner, Stéphane, offers excellent advice on visiting various sites in the region and also good advice on which wines to buy. All the services (breakfast, meals) are of excellent quality. Bravo.

Very satisfied with the accommodation in this hotel
We did not get the room we had booked two weeks earlier via the internet through the platform; we wanted a large room described as superior on the website and ended up in a 5 m2 room under the roof with unbearable heat.
Hotel zonder personeel. Niemand gezien bij check in en out. Code deur ontvangen en dat was het. Ontbijt was super en netjes. Keurig tafels gedekt maar niemand gezien.
No one was at reception when we arrived; the doors were locked, and we had to ring the bell to call the concierge. Our room was on the second floor with no elevator, and the narrow staircase was inconvenient, especially for guests over 76 years old, with luggage! There was no air conditioning, and our room was in the attic with only one fan, even though it was 35°C during the day. We had a difficult night! Dinner and breakfast were adequate.
Simple hotel, very clean, very comfortable beds. Charming staff.
The light in my room wasn't working; I only had the bathroom light to illuminate my room. I wasn't given the Wi-Fi password, so I had to use my phone's hotspot. I arrived Monday evening and left Tuesday morning, with no contact whatsoever.
Overall, the hotel was satisfactory, but the restaurant was a real disappointment. We found a piece of plastic in the foie gras, which the server explained to us as coming from a "fresh" product packaged by them. Furthermore, at the end of the meal, we were very surprised to see a baby lying on a work surface in the kitchen. Given the prices charged, it is regrettable to see such negligence, both in terms of the quality of the dishes and the waiting time.
A big thank you to the hotel for its kindness and responsiveness: Sunday breakfasts were exceptionally brought forward to 6 a.m. (instead of the usual 8 a.m.), allowing the many marathon runners staying on site to leave in the best conditions.
