A pleasant stopover at the Pelican in Vernantes, with a good-sized superior room and a more precise bathroom. Very comfortable bedding, a popular herbal tea room, and a professional welcome. We highly recommend it!
The carpets in the hallways smell musty. The bed was much too narrow. The breakfast was very good.

Welcoming establishment, the rooms are very clean, the restaurant is refined and the dishes are succulent, the staff is pleasant
Excellent welcome and we were very well received. The breakfast was plentiful, varied with many local products whose origin we could see, which is very appreciable. We were not able to taste at the table, as there is also a restaurant. We are very tempted to return during a future stay in the Saumur region and we will not fail to do so then.
Very warm welcome. The owner, Stéphane, offers excellent advice on visiting various sites in the region and also good advice on which wines to buy. All the services (breakfast, meals) are of excellent quality. Bravo.

Overall, the hotel was satisfactory, but the restaurant was a real disappointment. We found a piece of plastic in the foie gras, which the server explained to us as coming from a "fresh" product packaged by them. Furthermore, at the end of the meal, we were very surprised to see a baby lying on a work surface in the kitchen. Given the prices charged, it is regrettable to see such negligence, both in terms of the quality of the dishes and the waiting time.
A big thank you to the hotel for its kindness and responsiveness: Sunday breakfasts were exceptionally brought forward to 6 a.m. (instead of the usual 8 a.m.), allowing the many marathon runners staying on site to leave in the best conditions.

Remarkable room and very comfortable bedding; we sleep there like a baby.
The email telling us the entry code arrived a little late, a text message would have been preferable; apart from that everything was very good. Very good breakfast, very varied.

We spent one night at the Hôtel le Pélican which allowed us to make a stopover on our vacation route. Very warm welcome, pleasant room, excellent breakfast. We were able to have an evening meal at the hotel restaurant. Very practical and very good value for money.
We had an overnight stay on 14/02/2024. Great meal and comfy room. WIFI very slow
Surprised that our room was not redone between two nights.
