Dinner was excellent 😊 The accommodation was decent, very comfortable bed, although a bit dated. It lacked a bit of charm but was very clean. Breakfast was a little unusual; they ask you what you want: cold cuts, yogurt, pastries, etc. If you say no to certain things, the price is the same. I didn't take any cold cuts or yogurt, but I added a soft-boiled egg, and they charged me an extra 2 euros! That's not great. Plus, they don't advertise the price of breakfast. Otherwise, the location is very nice, right on the banks of the Loire. A little further along the Loire, there's an excellent crêperie run by two very friendly young men, with very affordable prices and excellent local products 👌

A responsive team - spacious room - clean - quality bedding
After several visits, it's always a pleasure to go there and to enjoy tasting the dishes offered at the restaurant.
The tiny 7.5m² room (excluding the bathroom) was crammed with a wardrobe, two bedside tables, a luggage rack, two chairs, and a desk—far too much stuff in such a small space. It felt oppressive, with only 50cm of room around the bed. The decor was outdated, and the lighting was poor. There wasn't even a teapot with coffee and tea, unlike most hotels that cost over €100 a night. It's a shame, because the terrace was lovely, larger than the room, the bed was comfortable, the staff were welcoming, and the room was clean. The price was exorbitant considering the overall quality. It also remains to be explained why, when booking through Hotels.com or Booking.com, the rooms assigned are always the smallest or the worst located; it can't be a random coincidence. It seems that rooms 1 and 3 at this hotel are larger and more comfortable than the very mediocre room 10, and perhaps others as well. In short, this is not worth the exorbitant price paid. Please note that I stay in hotels over 100 nights a year, and have done so for over 15 years, giving me a wide range of objective comparisons. Therefore, I apologize, but next time I will return to your nearest competitor.
An establishment with a stunning view of the Loire River, nestled in the heart of the Pouilly vineyards. The terrace is so inviting that you'll want to return in warmer weather to fully appreciate it. The chef (a true master!) serves inventive and generous cuisine, with a small but perfectly adequate menu. The wines are offered at very reasonable prices.
This establishment has many qualities: a good night's sleep, excellent food (the chef is exceptional) served by professional and lovely staff. We will definitely be back!
Exceptional setting, worth revisiting in good weather. High-quality cuisine. The accommodation is a bit dated but has been partially renovated. Just one minor issue: the radiator in the bathroom doesn't work.

What a good table
10-minute wait at reception. The chef left his kitchen to give us the room key. Old-style room, clean, comfortable bedding. Decent meal. Menu with a lot of choices (too much in my opinion). We had dinner there, there were about twenty guests in the restaurant. Given the few staff, the service was extremely slow. Waited 1h30 to receive the starter (slice of cold terrine which did not require much preparation! Then another 30 minutes before the main course! We left before dessert. All the guests were exasperated by this situation. The chef and the waiter seemed incapable of handling this situation. No explanations... Classic breakfast served at the table by the unwelcoming chef (not a smile, nor a kind word). To settle the bill, again the chef, still as unjovial. Not a word to know if everything went well. This establishment does not deserve to be listed in Logis de France. The chef (owner) does too many things without knowing how to manage them properly!

Excellent dinner and comfortable room for our stopover in Pouilly
The hotel and restaurant are aging, and the decor needs updating.
A very friendly and warm welcome, as expected in a 3-star inn. The dinner was excellent, the personalized breakfast perfect with a magnificent view of the Loire.
The owner gave a very cold welcome without even saying hello. We heard him grumbling to his team. The restaurant is very expensive for the price. When we asked what was included in each daily special, the team didn't know. It was impossible to know what was on the vegetarian menu. The perfect egg was far from perfect, almost a hard-boiled egg. We had to ask for bread during the hot meal. All the tables had appetizers except us. Fresh cheese which was nothing more than a simple white cheese. In short, a lot of imprecision for a MOF and for a 50 euro menu. It's a shame given the setting of the terrace.
The rooms are a decent size, the bathroom is large, as is the shower. However, there is no air conditioning, and sleeping with the windows open, even though they overlook the road, is not very pleasant. It's a shame. There is no refrigerator or courtesy tray either.

Het hotel heeft geen airco wat een nadeel is bij warm weer. Het eten is lekker maar het duurt veel te lang vooraleer de verschillende gerechten wordsen opgediend en daardoor worden we als gasten heel ambetant, we hebben zelfs de cart de fromages moeten laten schrappen want het zou na middernacht zijn als het laatste gerecht aan tafel zou worden gebracht en de chef wilde If you take any precautions, you will not be able to do so without handling them.

A delightful small traditional roadside Logis offering a warm welcome, easy parking and a well specified interior. The hotel has a terrace shaded by trees overlooking a large lawn and gardens that sweep down to the River Loire making it a genuinely breathtaking location. The rooms facing the river all have a large private balcony with outdoor furniture offering the same view of the river and the countryside beyond. The hotel has a small dining room offering very good food prepared to a high standard. The wine list contained more Pouilly Fumes and Sancerres than can be sampled in a dozen visits. This is not surprising as the hotel is located adjacent to the Caves de Pouilly Fume across the road.
This is a lovely little hotel that greatly exceeded my expectations.
Hotel to recommend for the presentation and quality of the products
The hotel is very well located and the whole place is beautifully maintained. The staff is discreet and helpful, and the room is spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast is generous; nothing is missing, just ask. As for dinner, it is more than excellent; the dishes are refined and the service impeccable. We recommend it without hesitation.

We stayed at Le Coq Hardi last year and were very impressed by the hotel and in particular the catering. This year the quality of the catering was among the best of our three week stay in France. Traditional French cooking with a modern twist.
Very kind welcome , The staff was very helpful in finding solutions for my daughter who is in a wheel chair. Excellent food and choice of Pouilly Fumé wines. It is a pity we did not stay longer.

A very well-run hotel. Ideally located facing the Loire. In good weather, the terrace is a pleasant place to relax. The owner and all the staff take great care of their guests. And don't forget the restaurant, which offers excellent menus. It's always a pleasure to come back.
The meal was excellent, the room large and pleasant. The meal was a bit pricey, and there were no options other than a set menu. Breakfast was also a bit overpriced for what was served.

Warm welcome from the head of the establishment, who is also the chef. Large room (disabled) with a very comfortable large bed. The decor needs updating... No road noise, but the soundproofing in the room above needs to be improved. Meals with a choice of cooked dishes and a very generous breakfast, with our preferences requested.

A very pleasant weekend at Coq Hardi, with a magnificent view of the Loire. A very good table of course, with quality products. The room a little basic in decoration, but correct, ours a little noisy because surely of a boiler in the background which spoils the tranquility and harmony of the place.
