A warm welcome is always assured at this delightful gem of gastronomy tucked away in what seems the most unlikely of places. We have stayed there on countless occasions over the last fifteen years or so after being taken there by friends. We always leave hoping we shall return.

We arrived here on probably the hottest day of the year at about 5p.m.Everything looked closed so we had to ring a bell for someone to let us in. We were shown to our room and told that if we left the windows open at night we might get some mosquitos in our room but if we needed it there was some spray in the wardrobe. The person who showed us to our room, presumably the chef, disappeared. There was nowhere to get a drink. We could see a lovely garden but there was no obvious way to get to it. Finally at around 6.30 p.m some other guests arrived so we took the opportunity to ask the lady of the house if we could have a drink in the garden. She took us through the kitchen and provided us with a lovely cold beer and nibbles in the garden. From there we were invited into the beautiful restaurant for dinner. The menu is very ""gastronomic"" with prices to suit everyone. The wine list is amazing with prices starting at Euro 26 to hundreds! The service was impeccable. Just one disappointment, although it was unquestionably very good, I'm sorry Chef, it was not a Bouillabaisse. The Crème brulee menthe-fraise was delicious. Breakfast was superb, probably the best breakfast we have ever had in France. We were even given fresh pancakes. The fact that the bar and garden are closed until just before dinner service means that, for us, we would probably not go back. Also, it seems that the previous guests helped themselves to the mosquito spray and so when we needed it desperately that night it was nowhere to be found!
