Calme et très agréable

Sapiniere is a firm favourite and we return every time we are in the area; not frequently but loyally.
The rooms are clean, in good condition and warm. The ground floor apartment style rooms are excellent.

Great hotel and restaurant.

This is one of our favourite French hotels. The setting is beautiful surrounded by trees with a view from the restaurant across the valley for many kilometres. It's always comfortable and the staff have that lovely balance of professionalism with a welcome as if you are friends coming to stay.

For the first time, it is impossible to choose half-board on the Logis de France website!

Good food and decent room

We love La Sapaniere and return frequently. It would be even better with tea making possible in the room on arrival

We love this hotel, friendly welcome and staff, and have stayed now several times over the years. Always enjoy our brief overnight stop here on our long journey, with a lovely evening meal as a bonus. Look forward to returning again.

Great hotel and excellent food, have stayed here many times

Such a convenient location with superb food which seems to be getting better. Very nice large room, with plenty of wardrobe space (number 2). However, there was no shelf or drawer space. You can't really hang socks in a wardrobe, so they spent our stay on the mantlepiece. There seemed to be a spare chest of drawers in the corridor, or, alternatively the wardrobe was big enough for a few shelves to be added.

A great discovery close to home, the wooded setting is very pleasant, the view from the restaurant is magnificent! The meal is quality!

Just a very good hotel

Excellent

Very welcoming and helpful staff, which for a woman travelling alone is important. I had a very lively young dog with me and they were more than accommodating with her. Excellent.

Cannot be faulted

Great location, great staff, room and restaurant.

The hotel is very conveniently placed near to Eurotunnel, and although very near to the motorway it is very quiet and peaceful during the day, with lovely view from the garden, and also at night, so we slept very well. The food in the restaurant is excellent and breakfast is also good and plentiful. We hope to stay again next year.

Really convenient location in a country setting for channel tunnel. Great restaurant and staff, and super buffet breakfast. Room lacking a few facilities such as a kettle and was rather warm, especially with a heavy duvet! Excellent bathroom.

Very nice Stay with lovely food friendly staff and good value for money.

It’s our third stay at là Sapiniere and we were as always very happy with everything. The attention to detail in our room is excellent- good quality towels, proper glasses (a big plus for me I hate the paper cups), touch light mirror in the bathroom, coffee machine in the bedroom. And the staff are delightful and very helpful and efficient. My only query would be could we have a lighter bed cover (couette) as it was very hot!

This was our first time at this hotel and we were really so glad we found it. Situated on a hillside overlooking tranquil farm land and just so peaceful. The room was in a separate wooden lodge, one of 3 or 4 and up a flight of stairs. Sadly there's no view from the window but we went straight to the terrace to make the most of a cold beer and the stunning views. The room was well appointed. TV showing English channels and Nespresso machine. Good shower room but the shower cubicle was a bit small. Separate WC which was ok if you have small legs but a bit difficult to close the door if your legs are a bit long! What is needed in this room is an electric fan because, even with the window wide open it was really hot during the night so one of us didn't sleep well.
Dinner was very good, back on the terrace again. And breakfast was very substantial and self service . Amazing orange juice and the coffee was good too.
We will definitely be back.

Very welcoming friendly and helpful staff - comfy rooms - lovely food - easy parking - wish we could have stayed another day or two.

A lovely setting only half an hour from the eurotunnel. We had a nice, old fashioned, high-ceilinged room with a modern en suite. Dinner was excellent and served up looking onto a great view from the conservatory. Staff were friendly and professional. It was a treat for our last night in France which enabled us to take a morning train the next day and avoid the worst of the M20/M25 combination. Something we will do again.

Beautiful hotel on a splendid location. We stayed in a spacious chalet in the garden. The dinner was truly excellent, as was the breakfast. Staff was very service-oriented.

We did stay before in this hotel and find the whole setting very pleasant. The manager is very professional and helped us very good solving a problem.

Bedrooms need a/c

Nice hotel with great view from the terrace. We had very good dinner and the Breakfast was good too. The rooms were somewhat outdated but comfortable. We had two rooms and the ones outside the hotel was good, the one inside was somewhat small and not very cool. It was very nice that we could bring our dog and the garden and surroundings are beautiful.

The experience from arrival to departure was
faultless, the whole team were friendly, welcoming, helpful . Room was spacious, clean ,very large bed , extremely comfortable mattress and quiet nights .
The food was excellent, service impeccable, nothing was to much trouble, drinks service every element
was excellent.
Good old fashioned service, quality, and a sense of
hospitality , sadly missing in many establishments, BUT NOT THIS ONE !!!

Warm welcome, good service

The hotel is lovely but we had no hot water in our room. We told reception who moved us which was good but when we came down for dinner a member of staff, the hotel manager I think, was very rude telling us there was hot water and suggesting that we had made it up to get an upgrade. This was very insulting so we left the restaurant and ordered delivery pizza instead. Very disappointing as the restaurant looked lovely and we were looking forward to a nice evening after a long drive. The rest of the staff were charming.

Arrived after midnight due to travel delays but was given the door code and my room key was laid out for me in reception. Room 2 was spacious with a lovely view of the grounds. Proper double bed not two singles joined together. Very clean. Good bathroom with a waterfall shower over the bath. Only thing I didn’t like was the bedlinen which was a weird crinkly fabric. Would have preferred French coffee at breakfast but I know the rest of the world is obsessed with Nespresso machines.

Friendly and helpful staff, very good restaurant.

This is a perfect stop before crossing back to the UK on Le Shuttle with friendly staff. The decor is fairly basic but our room was more than adequate for our needs with a comfortable bed and the bathroom was good, though a shower cap would have been nice and I don't think there was any shampoo. The breakfast was adequate with good coffee and croissants, though the continental meat/cheese selection was fairly basic.
The only really disappointing aspect was the dinner. I had beef which was unbelievably tough and flavourless with a pepper sauce with I am sure was from a jar/packet. So all in all a comfortable and convenient stop, but food well below par.

The staff are very professional, pleasant and helpful. It says something when you see the same staff year after year - we always use this hotel on our travels through France several times a year. The accommodation is clean, well equipped, comfortable and a good size. The food is very good, too!

We loved our meal in the restaurant- a 3 course menu
( including service ) . The restaurant staff were great, prompt service and very helpful and pleasant .
We were also warmly greeted at reception.
The staff lent us a kettle ( as well as the room coffee machine ) to make morning tea for one of us which was helpful .
The location was excellent -close to the motorway,5 mins ) and also quiet . Easy morning drive to the channel tunnel.

Great location, lovely spot just off the A26 and the hotel was lovely and made our dog very welcome in all areas including the restaurant

A very, very good stay, between the room which was both spacious, comfortable and pleasantly decorated and the excellent food (quality of products, inventiveness, quantity). In short, to remember, and what's more in a very beautiful region. Top! :-) The only downside is the imprecise address on the Logis de France website, while the hotel is on the right along the departmental road at the entrance to Wisques coming from St-Omer.

Spacious room, pleasant staff, very pleasant meal with choice. The only point of improvement would be to put a bottle of water in the room.

Greta hotel, within half hour drive of Calais. We love the cabin rooms, which are spacious and well appointed. The food is also excellent and good value for money. We have no reservations and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

What a little gem. Fantastic friendly staff. We had left our car window open and it was raining. A very kind member of staff came to tell us and took the keys to shut windows and wiped down the seats what service. The food in the restaurant was absolutely outstanding. Highly recommend.

The establishment is located in the heart of a wooded area. Room, cleanliness, reception, staff, parking, cadde, breakfast: nothing to say. A small downside on the signage to arrive at the establishment. Establishment to recommend without reservation.

We received a very welcoming and friendly recetion when we arrived at the beautifully located Logis Hôtel la Sapinière near St Omer .The room was spacious and walk in shower top class. The manager and staff were all attentive, and teh evening meal was excellent value, with an excellent , well chosen wine list, and a selection of fine wines by the galls. Breakfast was excellent with some qualify local products.
All in all, a superb , comfortable stay- We shall return !

Toutefois, petit problème d'éclairage dans la chambre que nous avions (no31) : une des lumières qui ne s'éclairait que très faiblement que j'ai oublié de signaler en partant. Sinon, tout était très bien, et nous reviendrons très certainement.

Good welcome in this hotel and good service throughout the stay. Pleasant and clean rooms, good size, with good bedding. Small bathroom, but functional. Good quality catering. Good quality WiFi, allows you to work.

We love the ability to either cater for ourselves in one of the apartments or to take advantage of the excellent restaurant. Always excellent service and a very comfortable and spacious room with a modern bathroom and a functional kitchenette. The hotel has marked the last night of many holidays in France before catching the Shuttle across the channel and the meals in the restaurant are always a special end to a holiday.

An excellent hotel in every way, food, accomodation, welcome and services.

The room was spotlessly clean, the manager and staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Although on arrival, there was nobody at reception, a quick phone call brought somebody to the front desk within a minute.

Room 8 was a little small and there were no coffee making facilities, which there are in other rooms. Everything worked well.
Car park will be much improved once work is finished.
