It was our final hotel on a 2 week road trip from the UK . Folkestone.Tours.Bordeaux.San Sabastian.. Bilbao.La Rochelle.Tours.St Omer.
I had booked accessible rooms at each hotel.
This one was the joint top.
Room 24 was one of the wheelchair accessible rooms. I had 2 get in round the back door as it was easier to get in.
The room was a good size with a kitchenette ,sofa and dining table.
The bed was a good height and comfortable.
It has a separate toilet which was large had grab rails . It looked like the toilet was higher than normal.
The separate shower was big and modern.
I had my first shower in five days as my last 3 hotels I could not use for various reasons.
The sink was great and I could get my wheelchair underneath.
Getting around the room in my wheelchair was easy.
We went for an evening meal in the Hotel restaurant.
Access was super easy. The views from the dining room was stunning. The service from the staff was efficient, friendly and polite.
We both went for the 3 course menu at 29 euros each.
Wow, the food was amazing. We had a fabulous starter of fresh tomatoes , delicious.
I went for the Chicken soy kebab for my main.
It was just perfect.
I had the local cheese for my desert.
I think the meal was great value and amazing standard.
This was my stay at this wonderful hotel.

Hotel with a nice setting, large and pretty room. The only complaint is the postage stamp format TV. I would of course come back without hesitation.

Lovely hotel and resutaurant, with great service from the staff. Room 1 is above the kitchen and is very noisy - the extractor fan is loud until the kitchen closes, and the staff are noisy while clearing up afterwards - don't hope for an early night! Although the bar is very nice and the staff are very good, the atmosphere was spoiled by the presence of four very smelly dogs. Their stench was repulsive - it smelt like a barnyard, not a quality hotel.

An exceptionally good hotel with much attention to detail in a beautiful setting. Very close to the motorway and convenient.
The food was excellent and the breakfast was unusually good - the croissants were fresh and much better than at the majority of Logis hotels.
IThe owner is charming and helpful and the staff in the dining room were top class.
We’ll be back!

Lovely setting with super views. We were delighted with the room and the gardens. We were allowed into our room 4 hours early, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately the evening meal was disappointing. Meagre portions of meat which were tough. There were adequate potatoes but other than that hardly any vegetables - a slice of carrot, a tiny sliver of pepper, one mushroom. We told the waiter about the meat being tough but he just said he would tell the chef. The breakfasts were very good though. We would definitely stay at the hotel as it's delightful and very convenient for the tunnel and St Omer, which is a lovely town, is nearby. We wouldn't eat an evening meal in the restaurant though.

Our stay in the cabins was wonderful, on our repeat visit we had rooms in the main building, not quite so good. There was no anti-slip mat in the bath.

A really nice hotel. The only problem we has was a party going on nearby with loud music until 2.30am. That was not the fault of the hotel

This is our third stay and we were not disappointed. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Our dog was made most welcome too.

Great little hotel, very clean, easy access from the motorway, restaurant for evening was excellent; food was very good at a really good price - one very minor observation, being English we would like to see a couple of tea bags with mugs and a kettle in the room.
But stay here please it’s great.
Nearly forgot to mention - the bed and duvet were really comfortable but the pillows were poor.

Excellent stop over near the A26. Room comfortable and warm although a bit lacking in character. Good meal at a reasonable price in the conservatory restaurant. Excellent breakfast. The grounds are big enough for exercising a dog 1st and last thing.

Everything was perfect

This was our second stay at this hotel and we enjoyed it very much despite it being November and not a lovely summer’s day like the previous visit!
The hotel’s location is very peaceful yet so convenient for the A26 motorway.
Our comfort room was very spacious and well appointed.
The evening meal in the beautiful Victorian conservatory was delicious.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to stay again.

I had booked with Booking.com. Small problem with the site. I arrive at the hotel to find out if everything was confirmed and the boss tells me I have nothing on my schedule. Plus surprise for my wife 10 years of marriage so everything was settled in 10 min. we spent a pleasant night and the restaurant fell. gourmet menu. My wife super delighted with the surprise. I recommend 100%

Excellent hotel, staff are wonderful and even though our French is lacking managed to make our stay very good. The restaurant is very good and we've never had a bad meal here.

Difficult to evaluate this hotel because it is rather several gites which benefit from an old-fashioned place to have lunch and possibly take meals. * The GPS of our vehicle not recognizing the address of the hotel we got lost and had to call the hotel. There is a missing sign at an intersection telling you to turn left which would avoid entering Wismes. * Non-existent arrival formalities. The key was waiting for us on the counter and the manager made no remarks or words of welcome. * Identical departure formalities. The bill being wrong (billing for 6 breakfasts ald of 2!!!!) we reported it and it was redone. * The hotel itself is charmless, old-fashioned. In the evening, there is no light on the space between the restaurant and the gîte. The veranda is large but cold, unattractive. It is obvious that this hotel needs renovation. * The restaurant is ok. The waitress was pleasant. The food served was good. On the other hand, when we left the restaurant, a manager stopped us to find out if we had signed the receipt!!!!! What a total lack of courtesy!!!! * The cottages are comfortable, clean, well equipped. This is the only positive point. In conclusion and based on our experience, it is difficult to classify this establishment. It is no longer a hotel. These are lodges. A significant investment is required. We will not recommend this establishment. Damage

Access to the hotel is signposted (fortunately). The rooms are a bit dated but they are very large and comfortable. The restaurant is of high quality with a magnificent view. The staff is very welcoming.

An excellent hotel in a quiet location. Spotlessly clean.A lovely restaurant. All the staff are helpful. Loads of parking. A great stop if you’ve just arrived in France or are heading home. We have stayed 5 times and really wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in this part of France.

Stayed in apartment ,booked almost last minute due to disruption at Eurotunnel.Always try to find a Logis..Very satisfied overall but noticed a lack of variety of vegetables at dinner, lack of sugar free options ( flacon d'avoine ) at breakfast & decafinated coffee only available by asking.
Sadly forgot to show Logis loyalty card after needing search for & request those items.

We have stayed at this hotel for more occasions than I care to remember, more than 25 years. The accommodation is excellent, parking excellent, location excellent but we think the restaurant needs a little updating. There always appears to be quite a large British contingent of guests. Last night I had a lovely lamb chops meal accompanied by mashed potatoes containing violets! The colour in the potatoes was not attractive. This is not the first time we have been disappointed in the lovely dining room!

One guest had a lactose intolerance and despite previously informing the hotel there was no lactose free options available.

A great place to stay while waiting for a ferry or the tunnel. St-Omer nearby is an interesting place that provides enjoyable wandering.

We always use this hotel when we travel from UK to France for holidays. It is lovely, welcoming and excellent food.

Very quiet place. Comfortable beds and good supply of hot water for showers. Lots of clean white towels. There were no cooking pans in the cupboards so we could not cook our own meals, which was a shame as there was a hob and everything else needed to boil an egg, make an omelette, heat up soup etc. But no metal pans or frying pan. The dishwasher had not been emptied either, it was full of (cleaned) crockery and cutlery. from a previous guest. Strange that there was no small hand-washing sink in the toilet room. Instead we had to trek to the bathroom to wash our hands. Good to be able to park right outside the room. Overall though a pleasant place to spend the night before moving on to Calais Eurotunnel 30 minutes drive away.

Very impressed with accommodation. The hotel is set in it's own grounds with superb views across the countryside. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Quality and quantity of breakfast is very good as is the quality of the restaurant.

A perfect stop only half an hour from the ferry/shuttle. The restaurant is really good and the staff are very helpful. There is everything you need in the room including a dishwasher. Lots of plug points with good wifi. The patio behind the room was a nice place to sit. Lovely breakfast.

Comfortable and convenient for Calais ferry

We have been coming here for 25 years. It has become the place where we start our holidays when journeying down through France. We find it comfortable, good value with good food and very pleasant staff. This is the first time we have visited since the hotel got new owners and it won’t be the last!

We have been coming to La Sapinière for a long time and are always satisfied. But this time we were a little disappointed by the restaurant because we had to wait an hour for our starter then the second dish arrived too quickly after the starter and was just lukewarm. We had the impression that the dish had waited a bit in the kitchen from the starter which was late. Surprising because we have always judged the restaurant to be excellent. We hope it was just a small mistake and that we will be satisfied when we return.

We love La Sapinière, this is always our first stop in France and last stop on the way back to Uk. It is very homely.

We have visited this hotel and restaurant many times in recent decades and have always found it welcoming and good value for money. The owner and the staff are most friendly and helpful, the restaurant offers an ample and varied cuisine. It is located in Wisques just 30 minutes drive along the A26 from Calais and a mere 5 minutes drive from St Omer, a town and its suburbs and surrounding countryside provide many opportunities for shopping, cultural visits and outdoor exercise.

An excellent Logis Hotel close to Calais. The hotel is in a lovely setting and was extremely dog friendly. The staff were professional and very helpful. The bedroom, bedding and bathroom were spotlessly clean. My only observation is that some of the furniture was in need of replacement, that said it was comfortable. We intend to visit on a regular basis en route to the South of France.

Delicious evening meal!!!!! The tagine-style lamb shank and the dessert were a real treat!!!!

Clean, spacious room with large comfortable double bed. We had a ground floor room as we had our dog with us. Perfect. Superb shower. Great location - close to Eurotunnel and just off the A26. The hotel is set in pleasant, quiet surroundings with private car parking. I would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is in a fantastic location 30 minutes away from the Channel Tunnel and only 5 minutes from the Peage on the Autoroute, the Restaurant is one of the best I have come across on my travels delicious food and great wines. This is my 4/5th stay here and always recommend it to my family and friends
