Passing through for an overnight stay. Upon arrival, I was told that I had been upgraded because there were no more standard rooms reserved for overnight stays. The room was very nice, large with very comfortable bedding and a kettle for coffee or tea. However, the bottle of water was chargeable... How mean! This is not a hotel. It’s a restaurant trying to be a hotel. The doors were locked during the day (on some days) which as a hotel guest, is not something I’ve ever experienced before. So when we arrived in the afternoon one day, we couldn’t get into the hotel! It makes you feel very unwelcome as a patron. Staffing levels were very poor. Breakfast was basic and relatively expensive.
