A very warm welcome (around 9 p.m.), and easy access to the parking lot. We felt expected. Hotel in an old building, full of charm, in the historic center of Loches. We hope to have the opportunity to stay at this hotel again.

Friendly and pleasant staff, that's a fact. The parking in the hotel is a plus, the breakfast is quite correct and the bedding is good and clean BUT the dilapidation of the room and the hotel in general is obvious: outdated carpet, torn wallpaper, blistered wall in the shower and finally the drain pipe of the toilet above in the room: you can follow live what is happening there .... Too bad because the hotel has great potential as well as the staff.

The room was a bit old. The welcome was excellent, and the owners were quick to get up much earlier to serve me breakfast on Sunday morning. The restaurant was very fine and excellent.

We have service worthy of a grand hotel in a setting "in its original state." Special mention goes to the meal, to be booked without hesitation. It's excellent. A hotel, a meal and service that we remember.

Very beautiful building that needs to be restored and modernized. This establishment is in a great location, located at the gates of the royal city in the historic district. The managers are very welcoming, but have inherited a complicated situation with the owners, which is blocking improvement and modernization work, apparently... let's hope for them and for us that things quickly move in the right direction!

We stayed one night in this hotel, which is very well located in the city center. Everything there is to see in Loches is close to the hotel and within walking distance. The rooms could do with a good refresh, but everything you need is there. We forget this small disappointment thanks to a very pleasant welcome, impeccable service, and the professionalism of the staff, who take great care of their customers (it still exists and is very pleasant). We also recommend the restaurant, which is very good quality.

Very well-located hotel in the very center of Loches. Building with lots of charm. Hotel "in its original state." You either like it or you don't. We rather liked it. A warm welcome. Special mention for the breakfast, served at the table and very generous. The only downside: we hadn't realized that we had to specifically reserve dinner. So we weren't able to dine at the hotel.

Old hotel that needs to be refreshed.

The room is in its original state, reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s. The TV is small, and the furniture takes us back to the previous century. The bed has a box spring, and the carpet is worn and stained. The shower doesn't have a mixer tap, the bathroom tiles are peeling, and the sink is cracked.

Well-located hotel, pleasant dining room, efficient and friendly staff. Of course, the hotel has not been renovated or had a lick of paint for a long time; the article published in the window which relates the difficulties of hoteliers perhaps explains this lack of renovation. This building and these rooms "in their juice" still have a lot of charm, and the quality of the welcome and the service justify the choice of the establishment, if one is warned and agrees for this particularity. Remarkable restaurant also justifies the choice of this stop.

The hotel's old-style layout has a lot of charm. Everything is very clean. However, some of the equipment would benefit from being renewed, such as the carpet on the floor or the bathroom.

An old hotel that would really need a good refresh (carpet, stained tapestries, smell...) while remaining in the slightly vintage style which is still quite pleasant! The bedding was very good, good bedding, very clean. Very quiet hotel, in this room overlooking the courtyard and the Saint Antoine tower. The location in the city center is perfect. What disappointed us the most was the reception: we had an impediment and were only able to arrive around 9:45 p.m. with the impossibility of warning of our delay (we were outside the telephone network, the owner tried to call us too but without success) When I managed to call it was 9:45 p.m., I was very badly received, the owner was angry and did not want to hear my explanations or understand our inability to warn him. Finally he still agreed that we come and that we call when we would be in front of the hotel so that he opens the door for us. We are surprised by the hours imposed by the hotel: you have to arrive after 6pm but before 7pm! ..... Isn't there a caretaker in the hotel who would allow a late arrival in case of unforeseen circumstances? 9:45pm is not that late, after all? We had never encountered this kind of problem before, hotels are still accessible at least until 10pm! What is also surprising: no wifi code in the room, no number to call the caretaker in case of a problem in the room! If there is a water leak or fire, you can't warn anyone in the hotel... What would be interesting would be to have a mobile number for the hotel in case of delay or emergency, on which we could send a text message, when we are off the network, text messages can sometimes still go through. Finally, although we like this hotel for its vintage side, its calm and its location, we are reluctant to return there during a future stay.

The Hotel is equipped and operated. Nur innerlich hat man sich Mühe gegeben, die Deko ein bisschen auf Vordermann und romantisch zu trimmen. Ansonsten scheint alle aus dem vorletzten Jahrhundert zu kommen: Farbe blättert ab, Verputz bröckelt, Fenster sind guaranteed aus dem vorletzten Jahrhundert, und sie schliessen quickly nicht.

Lovely Logis de France experience - let down a little by a tired hotel. But it's just not viable to get a hotel such as this to be perfect. Warn welcome, the decor is dated and needs attention - BUT, it's clean, very well positioned, the service was kind and helpful, the food good, the sheets and bedding clean...we would return without reservation - it might not suit everyone.

hotel very well located in the heart of LOCHES, room opening onto the interior terrace, very quiet. very clean, top bedding, you could say that the decor is a little dated but frankly that didn't bother us at all, the rest having nothing to complain about. A very good, hearty breakfast, nothing was missing. Thank you for your welcome.

Impeccable cleanliness, everything worked perfectly but the dilapidation of the rooms leaves something to be desired. Impossible to recommend this establishment. Too bad it’s a magnificent place that absolutely needs to be renovated.

Very good but building without elevator for elderly people difficult

Delightful traditional hotel at the gate of the Royal city with many original features. Some may say the decor is tired but the hotel is comfortable and is full of character. The bathroom is adequate for the reasonable price paid. If you want plush and modern then you will have to pay more elsewhere. The staff were helpful and allowed us to park our motorcycles within the property. We would definitely stay here again

Very old hotel without any renovation, the rooms no better. Stains on the carpet, peeled wallpaper with mold stains. Old furniture from an era I didn't know and I'm 50 years old. Shower with traces of mold. Wooden clad window. we hear all the noises from the street

We had booked a 2-bed room, got a very small room on the 3rd floor and the host did not offer to carry our suitcases upstairs. (We were 2 women aged 72, who even had their birthdays on that very day). When we asked for tips on a restaurant, we were only told about the hotel's convenient location in the middle of the city. The hotel itself has a restaurant that we probably didn't feel like going to after this reception, perhaps it was fully booked. It was not even mentioned to us. The staircase up to the 1st floor had a floor that had obviously been recently renewed, up to the 2nd floor it was still acceptable, but up to "our" 3rd floor it seemed to be decades old. You had the feeling you were entering the last attic. The room was a disgrace, very small, no comfort whatsoever, no power socket in the tiny bathroom, which was very old, only one power strip with a cord near the table - it was just awful. Breakfast was served stylishly in the chic restaurant, but only consisted of a French breakfast, i.e. no sausage, cheese or anything like that - it was the worst breakfast and the absolutely worst room of our 2-week trip around France. It was the only Logis hotel!

Enchanting three-night stay at the Hotel de France, ideally located in the heart of the old town and a stone's throw from the castle. Welcome very appreciated by the hotel owners combining availability and discretion: perfect. The high quality of the restaurant is a real plus.

Need to refresh the rooms. Peeling wallpaper. A little dated but great location

The common areas are pleasant and the location is perfect. On the other hand, the rooms are extremely dilapidated and the carpet is very stained. I understand better why no photos of the rooms are visible on the site and I find it scandalous Logis hotels are usually a guarantee of quality but not this time! In addition, breakfast costs 13.9 but it is not a buffet. Finally, the restaurant was closed on Friday May 10 in the evening.

An exceptional welcome. Very kind owners. An excellent and very well presented dinner. The room is spacious and comfortable and very clean. Coming by motorbike, I also appreciated the possibility of parking it safely. Extremely satisfied, this place is to be recommended… and for a very appropriate price. A big thank-you !
