I would like to express my profound dissatisfaction with the reservation referenced above. I consider the service provided for this stay to be tantamount to fraud! Indeed, while the reservation was confirmed by the "hotelier" with no possibility of cancellation or refund, we were not informed that the restaurant had been closed for two days due to staff shortages, even though it was Tuesday evening: no restaurant was open in the city that night. Furthermore, we had chosen this hotel specifically because of the positive reviews of its restaurant. Very generously, at 5:15 pm, they offered to prepare a set menu for us at 7:00 pm for €18.50 per person, which consisted of a small salad, sausage, instant mashed potatoes, and ratatouille (canned?), with a dairy dessert! Take it or leave it! As for the "COMFORT" room, where we had to carry our own luggage up a steep and slippery staircase (the room was at the end of the first-floor corridor) and which we absolutely had to vacate before 10:00 AM, it perfectly matched the restaurant experience: no soap in the room, a temperature of 36°C (97°F), the windows closed, and no prior ventilation or air conditioning, let alone a fan. Our first instinct was to open the window to try and get some relief from the heat. Instead of relief, swarms of flies entered the room and settled in. I have photos of the courtyard speckled with excrement and of the wood-paneled ceiling of the room, covered in flies, available for your review. Indeed, the room's window opened directly onto the hotel courtyard, which served as the owner's dog toilet. Since the excrement hadn't been removed for several days, and with the heatwave, all the flies in the neighborhood had gathered for a feast. At least they had a good meal, unlike us! And to top it off, we were woken up at 6 a.m. by these ladies trying to land on us for a bit of coolness. Finally, no one complained at reception after 7 p.m. (when we discovered the disaster) nor requested that the room be disinfected. There was also no one at reception at 8 a.m. to collect the key, issue a bill, or listen to any complaints. I won't even mention the €10 per person breakfast, which no one offered. If it were like everything else, it would be understandable! Paying €116 for a night in these conditions seems unworthy of a platform as "rated and reputable" as yours.

Big disappointment: when we arrived, the hotel was closed... There was a code at the entrance. I called the owner who gave me this code, my room number and told me that there had to be 2 people to open the door just after entering the code. The door could only open 2 seconds after entering this code....!! No staff inside, you had to get the room key from a board at reception!!
