We have been regulars at L'Etoile for 10 years, still under the Bruckmann family. The rooms are very different, this time we unfortunately had a very small room under the roof without a balcony with a small window, but the air conditioning worked well. However, the WiFi was useless here. Perhaps a repeater or something similar would be appropriate. In the bathroom there was still a towel from the previous guest hanging behind the door, a no-go for me in Corona times. I find carpeting in the room really unhygienic and there were some dusty shelves on the shelves too. Wouldn't have existed "before". But the restaurant was great as always, beautiful dishes that tasted delicious. But if you want to eat 3 courses, the main courses are a bit too big, and we are really good eaters :-) Nevertheless, a nice stay, but there are a few small adjustment screws to optimize. For example, it would be nice if there was more choice at the breakfast buffet. A few scrambled eggs with ham or similar would be nice, beer ham for breakfast, well, on Sundays there was still raw ham. And maybe oatmeal, or real muesli and not just these sugar bombs. The staff is really great, very friendly and attentive, and the new boss does his job very well.
