Your stay at Pfalzhotel Asselheim
Welcome to our charming hotel, the Pfalzhotel Asselheim (4*), located just 50 metres from the romantic German wine trail. Our guests forget their daily “worries”, which is proven by our snails. Since 2007, we have bred our own farm of delicious Burgundy snails which enhance our food prepared using fresh products. You can try it in our typical wine bar, next to the endless fountain of snails at “Schardes Eck”, a tastefully furnished restaurant, or in the Mediterranean style gardens. The wines offered are produced by local wine-growers. Many of them have already won awards from the famous GaultMillau Wine Guide. Our luxury Palavita Spa, which focuses on wine-based balneotherapy, allows you to forget your daily troubles. We also offer a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a steam room, a foot bath, outdoor pools to cool off, a Turkish bath as well as luxurious relaxation rooms, sensory showers and a romantic “Private Suite” with a canopy bed and bathrobes for two. Even more marvels: Many attractions not to be missed throughout the year, like menus based on the signs of the zodiac, asparagus and wild garlic based specialities in spring, and gourmet menus for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Many enjoyable cultural programmes such as hiking through vineyards, olive oil tasting, medieval meals at Bacchuskeller Inn, wine and snail festivals or even the “"Pfalzolympics” (literally, the “Palatinate Olympic Games”), a fun competition which includes potato peeling races and games to recognise different scents and wines. Top of the range, red-wine based cosmetology sessions, such as grape-seed oil massages, grape-seed scrubs, red wine cream baths and even a red wine foam body wrap.
