A warm welcome from Chef Stéphane Nougier. Excellent food: a real treat… + Beautiful decor…
The NOUGIER hotel has been closed since Friday, November 28th, which meant we were unable to use our reservation that was mistakenly accepted by the booking website. It's a real shame.
The food was outstanding; we particularly enjoyed dinner. The hotel itself is a bit more basic but still comfortable. Excellent value for money for an overnight stay!
The restaurant is excellent. The room is clean and comfortable. One minor drawback is the bathtub, which isn't very accessible because the shower screen doesn't fold down.
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and we are always very satisfied. The owner and staff are getting to know us, which makes it easier to communicate.
No heating in this establishment, the owner is waiting a few more days before turning it on. So we had to eat dinner with our jackets on and the room was cold. In short, it was a freezing stay, which is a shame, given the quality of the food!

The coldest welcome from the receptionist. He was a waiter in the restaurant. Icy service in a freezing room. Not a single hello the next day at breakfast. Enough to scare off a regiment!! All this to the detriment of the discreet and courteous chef, who delighted us.
Very good restaurant. Disappointing due to the lack of heating (less than 18 degrees in the room). Unpleasant waiter/receptionist, it's such a shame...

I stay there once or twice a year for my professional activity and I wouldn't dream of changing! Always very good!
Everything was perfect, from the moment we arrived, with a well-equipped and spacious room (including for working). The evening meal was delicious, the service was excellent, and the breakfast delicious. In short, highly recommended.

The Hotel Nougier is always a very pleasant stop on our Lyon / Vendée route
When booking I clearly stated 1 person requires gluten free food. We were told the menu at 49euro per person was ' a surprise ' no choice it's fish ( good job no fish allergy but certainly not our choice for eating). On asking for gluten free bread to accompany the first course the waiter was totally impolite and dismissive. An expensive no choice meal totally ruined what should have been a lovely evening.
Again, at breakfast I provided suitable gluten free product, as no carbohydrates were available, for my husband and at 14 euro per person this is not acceptable. A totally overpriced experience with a very rude member of the staff
We certainly won't be returning. We usually are very complimentary about the Logis group. Not so here.
No effort is made at this hotel to understand the dietary requirements of travellers and there is no freedom of choice. This should be clearly advised and advertised on the Logis/hotel site
A terrible welcome and the pool access times didn't allow for morning use. A huge disappointment. Only the cleaning lady was pleasant.
The table service was very slow, half an hour between each course, but the food was of high quality. There was a set menu for €50. On our first phone call, we were told the restaurant was full, then they called back saying there had been a cancellation… The breakfast was average, no eggs. There was a rather rude remark because we were seated at a table for three near the window, while there was a table for two in a dark corner. We moved, but the table for three remained empty. There's no elevator, and charging €6 for parking is a bit excessive!
Friendly hotel, comfortable room, very pleasant swimming pool, excellent dinner, original and quality dishes. I highly recommend it.
