The food was outstanding; we particularly enjoyed dinner. The hotel itself is a bit more basic but still comfortable. Excellent value for money for an overnight stay!
The restaurant is excellent. The room is clean and comfortable. One minor drawback is the bathtub, which isn't very accessible because the shower screen doesn't fold down.
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and we are always very satisfied. The owner and staff are getting to know us, which makes it easier to communicate.
No heating in this establishment, the owner is waiting a few more days before turning it on. So we had to eat dinner with our jackets on and the room was cold. In short, it was a freezing stay, which is a shame, given the quality of the food!

The coldest welcome from the receptionist. He was a waiter in the restaurant. Icy service in a freezing room. Not a single hello the next day at breakfast. Enough to scare off a regiment!! All this to the detriment of the discreet and courteous chef, who delighted us.
Very good restaurant. Disappointing due to the lack of heating (less than 18 degrees in the room). Unpleasant waiter/receptionist, it's such a shame...

Everything was perfect, from the moment we arrived, with a well-equipped and spacious room (including for working). The evening meal was delicious, the service was excellent, and the breakfast delicious. In short, highly recommended.

The Hotel Nougier is always a very pleasant stop on our Lyon / Vendée route
When booking I clearly stated 1 person requires gluten free food. We were told the menu at 49euro per person was ' a surprise ' no choice it's fish ( good job no fish allergy but certainly not our choice for eating). On asking for gluten free bread to accompany the first course the waiter was totally impolite and dismissive. An expensive no choice meal totally ruined what should have been a lovely evening.
Again, at breakfast I provided suitable gluten free product, as no carbohydrates were available, for my husband and at 14 euro per person this is not acceptable. A totally overpriced experience with a very rude member of the staff
We certainly won't be returning. We usually are very complimentary about the Logis group. Not so here.
No effort is made at this hotel to understand the dietary requirements of travellers and there is no freedom of choice. This should be clearly advised and advertised on the Logis/hotel site
A terrible welcome and the pool access times didn't allow for morning use. A huge disappointment. Only the cleaning lady was pleasant.

A very pleasant stopover, guaranteed peace and quiet. The staff is very welcoming and professional. The cuisine is bold and perfectly mastered, and you absolutely must try it; you won't be disappointed.

Pleasant, very good dinners
Beautiful establishment and excellent food. Just one downside: the room and restaurant are not very warm.
The evening meal was exceptional and though the wine list went off to wines with ridiculous prices, some were fairly reasonably priced and we were more than happy with the bordeaux we chose. Service was not fast but well worth the wait - it was cooked to perfection and was not the standard hotel fare in any way. The room and the hotel was very smart, clean and well decorated throughout. The only slight downside was the parking. I thought there was some private, payable parking but this was not mentioned when we arrived (and I forget to raise it) and we had by then parked at the front of the hotel and there no problems.
Establishment very well managed by the third generation of founders. I highly recommend Very good table and the head waiter is as we like a real pro who knows perfectly the dishes and wines that we offer and the service is well organized. 16 place settings all alone without waiting. The owner is quite off hand, perhaps it's the language barrier The room was very clean and adequate for a 2 night stay. It was very cold in the room with no heating, the shower was beautiful but luke warm. The door to the room was extremely difficult to open, I had to call someone to help me open the door as the key was stuck on several occasions. The breakfast was grossly over priced. A buffet breakfast with very little choice. A croissant, stale bread tea and coffee and a cold crepe if you were lucky. €13 for this is over priced. Overall disappointing.
We spent 2 nights in this hotel and we will not return. It does not offer any welcome. On arrival you are given the key, the floor and your room number without any smile or nice word. We still did 3 different hotels that same week with warm and friendly welcomes. Fortunately the rooms were spacious and well equipped. We also had dinner at the restaurant, we ate very well but what an ordeal to wait 1/2 hour between each course, in total more than 2h30 at the table. We preferred to dine elsewhere the next day. The departure was just as confusing as on arrival, this time the boss spent time with me, finally a discussion, to explain to me that I should not have the Logis hotel loyalty card validated.
A luxury establishment, with charm and a very warm welcome. The service in the restaurant and the quality of the dishes are remarkable.

Pleasant stopover in a tastefully furnished inn, with a small welcoming swimming pool in a beautifully wooded garden. Well decorated and comfortable room. In hot weather, prefer a room that does not overlook the street, because in the absence of air conditioning, you open the windows, but traffic starts up again before 7am. Apart from this detail, the restaurant is comfortable and the cuisine tasty, with a richly varied wine list. The staff is welcoming and very attentive. In short, a good address that makes you want to come back!
On a business trip but in flip-flops (40 degrees the day before in my hometown). I am charged more on the pretext that I am not dressed like a professional because I do not have a tie and I am wearing shorts and flip-flops, without taking into account the price displayed when booking (evening “for professional” » corresponding to my professional travel situation). I have nothing against being asked if I am on a business trip but I am made to understand that I am not sufficiently "professional" (no shirt, no tie), despite my explanations (I am changing when I drive several hundred km, especially when it's 40 degrees). I have nothing to complain about the quality of the service which is extremely correct, which I never stopped telling them throughout my stay (with a rather very cordial and polite attitude). It's extremely unfortunate that they ruined the experience by judging me on my outfit. Especially since it is a place to stay with a swimming pool where, it seemed to me, there is no required chic dress code. And extremely annoying, not to mention discriminatory.
Everything is perfect in this excellent stopover hotel-restaurant: aesthetics of the rooms and bathrooms, quality of the bedding, excellence of the restaurant whose reputation is deserved, very good breakfast and very pleasant bedding. A few downsides: - it's a shame that the evening menu requires you to have a starter, main course and dessert when you don't want a starter - the service is long - a few smiles from the owner and the waiter would be welcome (we are still customers ...) - the price seemed high to me for equal quality with other establishments that we frequented. Nevertheless, the overall impression is very favorable
