Htel was as described, no faults at all. Restaurant - the food was fresh and delicious, the service was poor. The chef and the kitchen team are clearly highly skilled. We took our reserved table and were handed a menu. We both choose from the fixed menu - entree, main course and dessert, coffee to finish + bottle of wine. The wine and entree arrived after 10 minutes, perfectly acceptable. Wine excellent. Entree excellent. The empty plates were removed and 15 minutes later our main meals arrived - timing perfectly accetable. Finished our main meal. 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes. Just about to give up completely when after 48 minutes a waiter arrived and gave us the menu again! I had lost interest in dessert, my wife choose the home made sorbet - delicious. Quality of food excellent. We then waited 25 minutes with no one approaching us (in fact studiously ignoring us) and we left without the coffee. There was a party of some 15 - 20 peeople + inside and outside tables occupied. We saw at least 5 (may have been 6) serving staff to cope with this. They seemed to loose their cohesion and customers were being ignored for the large group. We have been in restaurants many times, and never had this problem even with large clientele. A review of staff procedures required. That said the quality of food is streets ahead of the rest of the town.
