Restaurant le Saint-Georges

At arrival we were informed that the restaurant was closed and the same with the very few restaurants. This information could be given in advance. To eat trash food at the neighbor village as the only option was a very bad experience.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end dans cet hôtel et restaurant. La chambre était spacieuse, confortable et décorée avec goût. Le restaurant nous a régalés avec des plats savoureux, élaborés avec des produits frais et locaux. Le service était impeccable, le personnel était attentif et souriant. Nous avons apprécié le calme et la tranquillité des lieux, ainsi que le charme du cadre. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir. Merci pour tout ! Le petit moins : le manque de prises électrique au niveau du lit et un sèche serviette dans la salle de bain.

Possible reservation of private parking 9€ not specified on the reservation site. The little extra that makes the difference is the provision of a bottle of still or sparkling water. The double bed was a bit distorted, tending to sleep on the right. Very good restaurant cuisine, breakfast is served on request, there is no buffet, a menu is offered à la carte. Very good, quiet stay on the banks of the Rhône.

Very nice hotel. Good friendly staff. Excellent breakfast, lovely fresh juice and omelette. Evening meal was really good - good value local wine. Dog friendly.

Restaurant menu at 48 euros a little disappointing... With the exception of the desserts where we enjoyed it... Top breakfast with good products... OK room... A little dated but clean. 15 euros for our little dog may be a little excessive and the parking 9 euros why not but it still has to be worthy of this amount.. Mixed overall.

Avoid rooms on the Rhône side: you have to choose between the noise of the air conditioning and that of the street!

I recommend this establishment in which we stayed one night, very warm welcome, excellent bedding, very clean and friendly. The adjacent restaurant, the St Georges is absolutely to do. Excellent food (homemade) and good wine and once again a warm and very professional welcome.

Just a reflection of octogenarians. Put anti-slip mats in bathtubs, which are already difficult enough to get in and out of, with the risk of falls. Provide, also, in this bathroom, a small piece of furniture to put the toilet bags there. We were in room 106.

I highly recommend the Schaeffer Hotel, including the restaurant- which uses many locally produced foods and cheeses. Thank you!

Schöne, saubere Zimmer. Sehr netter Empfang. Das Essen wie beim Sternekoch - so lecker und schön angerichtet. Liegt an der via Rhôna, für Velofahrer ideal gelegen.

Leuk hotel met beveiligd parkeerterrein (extra betalen). Kamers zijn prima en bedden zijn echt heel goed. Bar ziet er een beetje Frans uit zonder super veel sfeer. Hetzelfde geldt voor het restaurant. Eten was echt geweldig en veel keuze uit verschillende wijnen. Porties waren erg groot. Mijn voorgerecht kan zeker door voor een hoofdgerecht (ravioli). Personeel super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Spraken goed Engels. Kortom, voor herhaling vatbaar als doorreishotel richting het zuiden van Frankrijk en/of Spanje.

Nothing to complain about because everything was perfect: the contact with the owners and the hotel staff, the evening reception, the room, rather well soundproofed, ideally located facing the Rhône, the dinner at the Saint Georges restaurant, the breakfast the next morning in a superb historically listed place. I hope we will have the opportunity to return to this hotel. Thank you all!

The value for money is a bit too high. The lighting in the rooms is a bit sketchy. There is a lack of light above the desk to work in the best conditions and there are a lack of many electrical outlets, especially around the bed

- Bedroom: Air conditioning in the very noisy bedroom, bathroom: only 1 hook (placed very high) in the bathroom to hang clothes - access to the hotel garage not easy + key to ask at reception - payment by card Amex impossible when it is displayed on the reception counter - Restaurant: the head waiter begins by asking the question of whether we will have breakfast before offering an aperitif or a menu. If you choose the main course + dessert formula, it is impossible to have one of the dishes from the "master restaurateur" menu (rib steak offered as a main course) - No free buffet at breakfast

Very friendly and caring, good price for what it offers. Unfortunately, the road between hotel and river is very loud. It's not a problem with closed windows (with good aircon),but it's a problem if one likes to sleep with open windows.

Erg goede en aparte kamer. Bijzonder gastvrije gastvrouw en personeel. Restaurant is meer dan goed. Voor ons een hotel dat we in ons boekje gezet hebben voor een volgende keer.

I love the hotel and service, but think 17.00 is too late as a check in time, especially as you already have to check out before 11 am.
