Staff friendly english better than my french and she did have a translation app.
Room was very disappointing 2 flights of stairs hubby as poor mobility. Bed too low pillows very poor quality . Woke with stiff neck and back .Sorry but wont be using this hotel accommodation again . I think its a throw back from the lovely reception area and overall look of the hotel. These rooms are around the side of the hotel building .

A bit old but fair price Not very far from Saumur 7kms Decent breakfast Why do they never offer a room on the courtyard side because the road side is noisy and in full sun Please think of future arrivals by closing the shutter if booking on the street side because there is no air conditioning except a portable one (already less than nothing) Be careful if semenary or other otherwise no more parking space on the town hall side Thank you for offering us a place to store the bikes safely on the courtyard side after the porch and the possibility of recharging the batteries in the room (after dropping it off, of course)
Very friendly staff, nice rooms, affordable and very affordable dinner. Locals also very friendly, even with our very poor French language skills

A convenient and easy-to-find hotel, a few miles north of Saumur. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were clean and well-provisioned.
A really good hotel and restaurant, friendly service and a superb restaurant.
I am happy to recommend and plan to return on our next visit to the Loire.
