Logis Hôtel Relais du Gué de Selle
Favourites : By a lake, a 100-year-old farmhouse and 80 ha of grounds
RESTAURANT You’ll love this vast old stone Mayenne farmhouse. It overlooks 80 hectares of magnificent parkland, with a profusion of flowers and a lake you can enjoy a pleasant walk round after lunch. It is definitely an ideal setting for the Chef’s seasonal cuisine, which you can enjoy in the summer dining room which opens onto the park, or in the stylish winter lounge with its beams and impressive fireplace. The neo-classical, refined take on cuisine makes the most of local produce and noble fare (lobster, foie gras etc.). It is crafted by a true enthusiast who goes out of his way to prepare each of his creations to the same exacting standards. Here, everything is home-made, including the bread. The dishes are tastefully presented, highlighting flavoursome produce of impeccable quality, like the "Maine farmer’s brand beef steak" cooked to perfection and topped off with a creamy, tasty sauce, the sign of true expertise. The stylish, professional service is in harmony with this excellent outfit which also offers up a nice wine list. Reduce

Very friendly staff, beautiful facilities, very good restaurant!
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were all charming and attentive. The food served at dinner was worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Finally, the setting is magnificent.
The hotel is well-located and well-equipped, with a modern room and bathroom. The peaceful setting by the lake is magnificent. Breakfast was very good, and the welcome was very friendly and professional. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Great stay, just one minor point: don't forget to turn on the hot water for the eggs at breakfast. 😉
A rather pleasant place; it's just a real shame that the welcome was lukewarm, bordering on rudeness and disrespect!
Room: Hair in the bed, toilet, linens, and shower. Dust in the corners, cobwebs, and a dirty shower stall—a real lack of general maintenance. Restaurant: The starter (leek vinaigrette) was okay. However, the haddock was practically inedible due to the large number of bones, and the server was unable to provide a solution when I pointed this out. Fortunately, the crème brûlée was good. Breakfast: Nothing special, pretty ordinary overall.
Very pleasant and quiet hotel, quality bedding, green setting. Excellent restaurant. Top-notch staff.
A very nice establishment, ideally located opposite a small lake and close to many tourist sites.
A great address and above all a great restaurant that you absolutely must discover...
Everything is very good except for one drawback: returning the key is not easy during an early departure. The staff, although present and visible, did not want to open the door to take the key...
The hotel is located in a magnificent setting. The food is very good. The welcome is just as good. What more could you ask for?
Very pleasant place in a superb location. Sunday evening dinner was the same as the day before. The glass in the French window of the room was very dirty and hindered the appreciation of the view of the magnificent garden (well done). It's a shame that there aren't any seats in the park apart from those at the bar, for lazing around... The stay was very pleasant in the end.
Charming lakeside hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable.
Room way to warm, no cooler working and the room has closed Windows when we arrived. Hard to sleep in the heat.
Some of the staff very attentive others ignorante, perhaps because we dont speak french?
Food in the evening was amazing, flavour and visual.
Very nice hotel in a quiet environment surrounded by nature. Excellent restaurant. Room decor needs updating. Housekeeping needs improvement.
A very pleasant stopover in a pleasant environment.
Great welcome, great staff. We were there for a wedding, great service and a smile.
A warm welcome and excellent food. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive despite the clientele being mostly transient. I particularly appreciated their attire and that the female staff didn't work with bare legs, as is often the case these days in establishments that aspire to be prestigious. Thank you for this stay, my second.
The air conditioning was not working in Room 15
The swimming pool area was covered in bird droppings and very unwelcoming
Friendly staff...very well received...the hotel entrance is poorly signposted...old-fashioned decor, needs to be "refreshed"...Some work needs to be done on the swimming pool...otherwise very beautiful place...very beautiful view...superbly well located...Top restaurant, divine meal...
We stayed three nights. The location is beautiful. The hotel grounds are well kept, and it was a pleasure to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the lake. It is about 3-4km to walk round the lake, and there is small and jolly cafe where canoes and pedalos can be hired. The hotel has a small swimming pool, which we much enjoyed swimming in, even though it was unheated at the time we used it.
The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and we had lunch on the terrace. The food (we had a lunch and a dinner whilst there) is excellent. We have given a 4 rather than 5 star review as, unusually in our experience of French hotels, it was necessary to indicate whether you wanted a (singular) croissant, pain au chocolate or raisin, the night before. You do need transport if you want to visit nearby towns, and we were fortunate in having a friend who had driven there. The local taxi services, based on getting to the hotel from the nearest railway station, and from talking with locals, seems good- even if, worryingly - they are sometimes described as 'ambulances'. The hotel also have a number of bicycles available, though we did not try this. We would stay again.
Wonderful hotel, lovely location and the staff were so helpful.
I find the establishment magnificent. The setting is beautiful, calm, and relaxing. The hotel rooms, the room, and the products offered are of very good quality. The teams are very welcoming and courteous. The staff is also very attentive and available. Very professional and efficient. I had a very good stay and I can only recommend this establishment. Thank you to the entire team for this pleasant time.
The bedroom was very comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff were lovely.
The hotel is dated, and the carpet, the large curtains, and the bathrooms are really from another era. A facelift would really be necessary. We were not informed that the swimming pool would be out of service before our arrival. The information about breakfast given in advance by email on the times was incorrect (8 a.m. - 10 a.m.). So we planned what was needed but finally another person told us that it was offered from 6:30 a.m. Incomprehensible. We were not asked to pay in the evening upon our arrival, so the person caught us in the parking lot the next morning, we thought it was charged via Booking, since we had not been asked to pay in the evening upon arrival. The doors slam very loudly, the sound of water running from the upper floor, the French windows had to be closed. It is time to seriously renovate the building.
A very pleasant stay in a calm and green setting

A very pleasant time. Great surroundings.
