Great hôtel, extremely good location for both le Vésinet and central Paris. People are amazingly friendly. We had a bit of bad luck with a noisy neighbour the first night but the man at the desk moved us into a room further away and really wanted to make sure we were happy. Restaurant food is absolutely amazing, highly recommend.

A mediocre hotel. Even with a minor renovation, it's clear it's past its prime. The 140cm bed has a sagging middle, which is hard to understand for a three-star Logis hotel. The hallway carpet is very stained. Two- and three-star chains are far superior. The breakfast is ordinary. The croissants and pain au chocolat are fresh, probably from the nearby bakery. Otherwise, there's not much originality. For those who regularly stay in Logis hotels, there's nothing new; the furniture and bedding surely come from the same purchasing center. We were not informed that this hotel was being renovated. We arrived after 5.00pm and found the hotel hard to find. We had not thought that the Hotel would be in the building site opposite where we were parked. There was heavy scaffolding surrounding the Hotel. We were not shown to our room but on entering found the curtains were drawn. We were immediately going out in the town so did not realise until our return much later (when the reception was unmanned) that the view from both our bedroom windows on the first floor looked out onto a filthy scaffold at window level piled high with hoses, builders tools, bags of plaster, rags and other building detritus. Apart from the disgusting view, the Hotel is in the centre of town and we were worried that anybody could have climbed up the scaffolding during the night and entered our bedroom. So we had to keep our windows shut. The outside temperature was 32C so the room was stifling and even though a small fan was in the room it did nothing to reduce the temperature. We are retired pensioners and well know the dangers of a canicule! I complained the next morning and the receptionist apologised. When I asked for a refund, he said that the price of the room was already discounted, although I looked on the website to find that you could reserve a room for less than we had to pay. We were demanded Tax de sejour as we arrived and asked for it again when we checked out. It was disgraceful. Nothing was done to recognise our address our distress.

The building was under construction, which we hadn't been informed of, and scaffolding covered the entire facade, blocking the natural light entering our room (and the view of the small adjoining square). The room itself was small, cramped, and poorly lit (no ceiling light). Only two wall lights at the head of the bed provided a semblance of light with low-wattage bulbs. A lamp with a lampshade (also equipped with a low-wattage bulb) was available as an extra light, but the limited number of electrical outlets meant we had to choose between having this additional light and access to charge our mobile phones. There weren't enough towels for my wife and me, forcing us to wait until almost 10 p.m. for the hotel manager, whom we had contacted in the meantime, to return to the hotel and provide us with the correct number. The bathroom was cramped and impractical. The next morning, we were woken at the crack of dawn by the workers renovating the facade, who were moving noisily on the aforementioned scaffolding while banging loudly on the walls. Breakfast was adequate but certainly not worth the price, given its contents and quality. In the end, all these inconveniences led us to ask the manager for a goodwill gesture, which was kindly accepted, but in any case, the overall quality of the establishment and the stay means that I can neither recommend this hotel nor consider staying there again myself.
