We appreciated the receptionist's warm welcome and professionalism, as we were arriving late for dinner and he managed to reserve a table for us! This was our third time staying at this hotel; we appreciate its central location, which allows us to explore the city on foot.

Very pleasant staff. Unfortunately, the water in the shower hardly drained, which is very unpleasant. Carpet. The soundproofing leaves something to be desired (footsteps from upstairs and in the hallway). Breakfast was okay, but we would have liked to have found a toaster, cold cuts, and to cook our eggs.

Well located in the heart of Vichy, small downside regarding access: reception opens at 4 p.m. and it is difficult to park on the street. A parking code communicated before arrival by message or by telephone would be welcome. A refresh of the rooms would be necessary!

The welcome was nonexistent; as soon as we entered the hotel, we were asked to pay the bill. We dined in the restaurant, but the service was very slow. We felt abandoned and unattended. We had to choose only one dish because the waiter would always return to the table saying it was out of stock. We saw other guests paying their bill (including the restaurant bill) upon checkout, so we felt discriminated against. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but in this case, we felt uncomfortable, and I will definitely not return to this hotel, nor would I recommend it.

HOTEL Midland, Vichy 2024 A highly recommended hotel in the heart of Vichy with good value for money. We stayed here several times. The hotel, an old, neoclassical building with French charm, is located in the center of Vichy. The not-so-large room faced the main street and was quite quiet at night, even with the window open. The bed was good, and the bathroom, separated by a "Western saloon-style swinging door," was not very large, with a shower and toilet, but functional and clean. Overall, everything seemed well-maintained and clean. The breakfast was very plentiful. The hotel's own parking lot (€8 per night) is located nearby and is locked. The hotel's location is very nice; the river park and the thermal baths, as well as numerous shops and restaurants, are within walking distance. (However, a good dinner is also possible in the hotel restaurant.) The hotel is not a new, modern design hotel, but rather an older hotel with plenty of French charm. Overall, a lovely hotel in the heart of Vichy with good value for money.

Disappointing experience as I had indicated on booking that we would require dinner, however on arrival was told the restaurant was fully booked. Parking was advertised as available but again no spaces were left.

The only criticism I have of this hotel is the check-in time. Arriving a little early in Vichy, we had to wait for the hotel to open.

The manager and the receptionist were extremely rude to us and our customers that stayed. On checking out they tried to double charge us for rooms that were already paid for. We definitely will not be taking our customers there again to be spoken to like that or have our customers treated like that.

Very warm welcome and very helpful and attentive staff. It's a shame that the rooms aren't properly finished. The hotel doesn't accept e-holiday vouchers... otherwise, it's a very good location for sightseeing and the Vichy thermal baths. No need for a vehicle.
No air conditioning so opening the windows to get incessant noise in the street so no sleep and what's more when you go to the toilet upstairs you know about it

Hotel good overall with two drawbacks. The bathroom is very small and there is no space to store your things, but especially the service in the restaurant. Apart from the head waiter, the staff is not up to par and the service suffers. Starter served during the aperitif, plate removed before it is finished..... the start of the meal is very quick, too much, and after that it is the opposite. We have to wait for the group delivery of desserts I imagine. We waited more than half an hour for dessert, we were about to leave the table. The three-course meal lasted more than two hours, which is a lot. Too bad because the food is very good. Overall pleasant stay, very friendly reception staff, good breakfast......restaurant service to be improved.

Woke up to the scaffolding at 7am on Saturday morning... I find it hard to believe that the work was not scheduled. Too bad they took the time to warn us.
Parking was straight forward. Meet and greet at reception was very good. Room ok bathroom appalling, dirty outdated pipe work in shower split very claustrophobic. Not hotels faulty 07.30hrs Saturday morning scaffolding being erected extremely load, not a good start to the day. Saturday evening we had our evening meal in the restaurant, service was excellent and food was also extremely well cooked.and well presented. Check out was a bit difficult as the lady at reception added four breakfasts on to our bill which we had to explain that we had not used the breakfast facilities on either day. Overall nice weekend away but would not stay at the hotel again.
Mrs Schmitt at reception helped us a lot to get our things back that we had left in the safe! We drove 450km the next day and only noticed it when we saw the safe in the next hotel... We would like to thank Mrs Schmitt very much for her commitment and helpfulness!!! We look forward to being back in Vichy very soon. Merci beaucoup!!!!

We were disappointed by the room, many traces of mold in the corners, aging wallpaper, defective equipment (the mini fridge), the quality of the bedding (a bed too soft), a bathroom in its original state with the toilets that are too low, not up to standard. What a shame! This hotel has great assets: close to the city center and the thermal baths, a paying car park nearby, a breakfast with choice and quality products. A hotel lobby in an elegant period style.

For vintage lovers! No doubt a very nice establishment in 1948, but today everything is outdated! A bathroom with an openwork swing door at the top and bottom leaves little room for privacy. The restaurant is good and the staff helpful and welcoming.
