Correct restaurant (even if we have the feeling that we are complaining about the bread that arrives piece after piece...I had to ask for more twice, I hate that) without being exceptional (dinner in the evening stopover is maybe for that...) on the other hand at the hotel level there is everything to review... tiny rooms, extremely old... I was cold during the night... in other words nothing to keep (sorry... ). The PDJ is served from 7:45 so again, unless you are retired it is not possible.
simple room but acceptable for one night. Excellent hospitality and meals
Friendly good breakfast meal a little simple but good.
Beautiful old hotel with fantastic staff and lovely food. Excellent value for money
Very nice building, very friendly staff, correct meal, correct bedding but the condition of the carpet in the room is really not pleasant to have visually.
We paid €219 for three nights for two people plus €10 each per day for what was a great continental breakfast. This is a traditional Manor house style hotel and whilst it could be argued that a little renovation would be good, that might well spoil its rustic charm.
The bedroom (10 - first floor) was comfortable enough with desk, chairs, ceiling light, three lamps, two bed side tables, fully opening windows and an entrance lobby with a luggage table and off which there is a built in wardrobe, and separate toilet and bathroom.
The bathroom was well appointed with towel shelf, towel holders, mirror and shaving mirror, toiletries shelf with plenty of soaps etc.
The bath was a little shallow at the bottom so you had to be careful when showering but there was a glass screen and two shower heads, conventional and rain shower.
The TV was corner mounted in the bedroom with what seemed like a cable box on top but there were only a few channels and none were English speaking so was no use to us.
Whilst there was a bottle of water; there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
The continental breakfast was great, buffet style with cereals, jams, and a mini fridge with butter and yoghurts. Tea and coffee was on offer with fresh hot water all delivered efficiently along with fruit juice, bread, ham and cheese if required.
The hotel outside is picturesque with plants growing up the stonework, with places to sit out too behind the perimeter wallled garden.
There is sufficient car parking too for those that need it. Don't worry about coming back late as there is coded door access out of hours with security lighting and timed lighting can be set on the landings and lobby to see you to your room.
Free WiFi in the room was easily accessible with no need for a password to get on.
There was a laminate in the room in both English and French detailing a few basic things of interest.
Parlez vous Français? Booking.com suggests that English is spoken but we didn't need or want to as conversational French gets you by and when in France? Don't the French appreciate it when us Brits at least try?
Rather handily, across the road from the main entrance is an supermarket (not 24hr) and 24hr fuel station. Locally, it seems very quiet which makes for a peaceful and relaxing stay.
Welcoming, pleasant hotel with the charm of the old.
We had reserved a month in advance a room with a bathtub at 67 Euros, we got a room with a shower only displayed at reception at 59 E and we had to pay 67 E all the same. not deign to take me on the phone let us know that our room was bigger than the others because everything was booked (not 1 month ago I think!!) and therefore at 67 E even with shower only, that it was like that. We were never told about it (just like the tourist tax for that matter), it's really false advertising. We really feel like we got ripped off! The welcoming person who received us couldn't open the bedroom door, in fact it was working very badly and you had to pull and push at the same time, it was difficult. The toilet was leaking and making noise, he told us "it was like that"; everything was old. At the restaurant not a smile (menu not up to date on the hotel website, it's a detail), no friendliness. Hotel to flee, the lack of honesty is unbearable.
We know Logis de France and its qualities of hospitality.
Very nice setting, top-of-the-range restaurant, a pity that there is no possibility of a la carte choice, because, in the evening, a menu is sometimes too much. Otherwise service and breakfast, at the top
Very nice house, outside and inside, attentive staff.
Een oud onderkomen geheel in stijl, echt Frans! Een echte aanrader!
Very friendly welcome, excellent restaurant, fairly simple but very comfortable room. I slept well and ate well! Very quiet location and close to the highway. I will definitely come back
A very nice hotel in an beautiful old manoir.
View the hotel's answerTrès bel établissement, excellent accueil malgré notre arrivée tardive.
View the hotel's answerSuperbe lieu atypique et charmant.
A conseiller.
