We stopped at Logis Hotel l'Epicurial on our way across France after our ferry from Santander to Portsmouth had been cancelled due to bad weather. Unfortunately, the bad weather was also evident in south-western France, and we were greeted with heavy rain showers and cold temperatures. This may have coloured our view of the hotel a bit, but we certainly found our room to be rather barely furnished and cold. We also found that it took a great length of time for hot water to come through the taps and the shower although, when it did arrive, we found the shower to be very good.
