Fantastic location, charming old building where you feel right at home. A very warm welcome, the staff are top-notch, and the lovely owners go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. I had booked a massage – pure bliss! The breakfasts are worthy of a grand hotel, and the meals are excellent. We will definitely return when the weather is nicer.

This establishment, which has changed a lot over the years (I used to come here as a child with my parents), offered a very nice experience. Access to the hotel is easy and well signposted, there's plenty of parking, and I also noticed a covered bicycle storage area. We loved the warm welcome from the highly motivated team, who were eager to please us in every way. Thank you to them! I'm giving it top marks across the board, but although it's spacious (accommodating up to 6 people), I was disappointed by the coldness when we arrived in the duplex. We did appreciate the kettle and teas provided at that time. Despite the good, efficient electric radiators, it was a bit chilly for this time of year. The main radiator was set to 19°C, so I immediately raised it to 21°C, and it was much warmer when we returned from dinner. In fact, I got too hot during the night and had to remove some layers to be comfortable. I even got up around 6 a.m. to reset the heating to 19°C. The Wi-Fi connection was flawless. The lighting was well done, and the furniture was sometimes impressive (I'm thinking of the workbench with its carpenter's vise that held the kettle and an imposing ambient lamp). The more than adequately sized TV and a satellite subscription allowed us to spend the evening before falling asleep. The bathroom was very well equipped: fan heater, hairdryer, very hot water, and an enclosed shower. The bedding was excellent. We appreciated the "waffle" duvet covers (I don't know the proper term) with their texture reminiscent of waves on a sea of milk. As for the restaurant, we appreciated the emphasis on local ingredients, even in the cocktails (the Spritz made with Clairette de Die, for example). However, I wasn't there solely for the food, as the place itself is truly remarkable, with its limestone chimney shaped like a pipe, which gave the establishment its name many years ago. We appreciated the proximity of the Gervanne, the local stream, and the Pissoire waterfall near the village of Omblèze, as well as the hamlet of Ansage, just 1 km away, from where you can access the Druise waterfall via a completely renovated and safe path. We enjoyed the quiet of the room; there was no noise from neighbors even though the hotel was quite full, and no urban noise or weather disturbances, despite a strong wind that evening.

From the welcome to the payment, everything was extraordinary.

I only regret one thing, that we arrived late. The place is absolutely worth seeing!!

Cozy place out in the middle of nowhere - scenic route, don’t be afraid of small streets and hairpin bends. If you Drive electric be well loaded, but you will a charger at the site. The rooms are equipped as described. Personal is extraordinarily friendly. The kitchen is exceptional, the wine selection local and well assorted. You Will Not find big names but local wineries presenting very good products for very reasonable prices. The place is worth every bend and every altitude meter you have to go to get there.

A beautiful, comfortable hotel, surrounded by nature, with the superb and wild Gervanne River flowing at the foot of the beautiful terraces. We had a superb stay, thanks to the entire restaurant and hotel team, who always took great care of us. The restaurant offers very good local cuisine, including trout and fried trout, it's delicious. The cirque that borders the hotel is magnificent, truly a unique place.

Dinner and breakfast with well-prepared local products. Friendly and attentive staff. A great place to spend some quality time.

EXCEPTIONAL!!!

Positive experience for a couple with two children aged 6 and 8: the large family room with mezzanine is very pleasant! This is quite rare in hotels! The children also really enjoyed the "gym", and in particular the punching ball, but it could do with a bit of a "freshening up".... That said, this hotel is really nice and the staff are really welcoming and attentive!
