Two days before my stay I received an email from the hotel telling me that it had not been possible to charge the card used for the reservation and that I would have to contact the hotel to provide another credit card (under penalty of cancellation) but that in any case the rate would no longer be the one of the reservation but increased by more than 20%. Even if I wanted to believe the pre-authorization problem I would have had no problem providing another card, but I found it absolutely unjustified, as well as dishonest and unprofessional, to ask for a higher rate than the one of the reservation. I am very happy not to have stayed at this hotel and I will exclude any other of the chain in the future.
Well received, room with basic furnishings. Restaurant: nice menu, although a little expensive. Not enough asparagus on the menu and on the plates as a garnish for a producing region, a shame
Little communication and change of response regarding the use of holiday vouchers. It was possible to pay for the restaurant before our arrival, but impossible on site. We should think about heating the restaurant room during breakfast, especially when the outside temperature is low.
A rejuvenating solo stay in an enchanting setting I spent a few days alone at the Manoir, and it was an absolutely perfect experience. The place is calm, elegant, and bathed in a soothing atmosphere, ideal for disconnecting from everyday life. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated—you immediately feel at home there. The staff was very kind and always attentive, which allowed me to fully enjoy my time, between reading, strolls in the garden, and exploring the surroundings. Breakfast was a true moment of happiness each morning: plentiful and fresh. A true interlude of sweetness. I recommend without hesitation to anyone traveling alone (or with someone) and looking for a place that is charming, welcoming, and inspiring.
No heating in the room, no one explained to us that, contrary to what is written in the rooms, we could adjust the heating! The television did not work (no battery in the remote control!) There too, perhaps we should have asked! For one night, we did not dare, given the lack of involvement of the person at reception.
