The hotel was refurbished and the premium room was impeccable. The only problem was the bedding. The mattress was very hard, which caused back pain in the morning. It was a shame for a premium room, perhaps the bedding needs to be reviewed. Also, the pool and spas are outside, and given the weather, we couldn't enjoy them. I thought the spas would have been in a closed room.

Great welcome, staff and great boss!!! Cleanliness, service and decor are great! Just the comfort room and the TV in the room were a bit small, and the bathroom too. A superior room would have been better for us because we were with motorcycles so there were a lot of things to fit in. Garage available for motorcycles, that was perfect too. Very nice clientele and great encounters. The perfect location between the center of Annecy and the mountains, possibility to go wherever you want easily. Swimming pool and surroundings are magnificent. Quite a quiet place. We will definitely come back 😊

A cosy hotel at a beautiful location with very kind and welcoming staff, a beautiful pool, an excellent restaurant and the courtesy to use bikes for free to go to the lake. We’ll be back next time when in the neighbourhood!

A lovely hotel with excellent amenities. The rooms and common areas—bar and restaurant—are beautifully decorated. Access to the pool and jacuzzi, and bicycle rentals are available. Everything is in place for a wonderful stay, right next to the lake. A peaceful setting. Excellent cuisine.

The pluses: the spa with a very nice swimming pool, the lounge around the bar and games for entertainment, a well-equipped gym, the good food even if the menu lacks suggestions when you stay several days... The minuses: the old-fashioned rooms and the corridor need renovation, the bedding and the shower drainage need to be reviewed... The polite but rather tense service and lack of consideration of the customer's request.

A 3-star hotel with high-quality, comprehensive services! We really enjoyed our half-board stay: the quality of the meals, the garden-pool area, the bikes available, and the quality of the bedding. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. I recommend this hotel for its excellent value for money. The decor is tasteful throughout.

We spent four nights at the Arcalod Hotel. We had a wonderful stay; the smiling staff were attentive to our needs, the welcome was warm, there was a wide selection of breakfast items and a great offer for the evening menu with half-board. The spa area is modern and sufficient for a good time in the sun, an additional asset to this place. We definitely recommend this hotel!

This is our third year staying here and we are always very satisfied – everything is top-notch: the welcome, the rooms, the breakfast… we will most certainly be back next year – well done to the whole team!

Very good

Hotel set back from a main road. Comfortable room and nicely decorated in a contemporary style. The plus is its pool area (unfortunately no possibility of ordering or snacks from the relaxation area (sauna/jacuzzi...). Friendly staff but nothing more. Weak point, charging stations unusable if you have a badge (because not compatible with standard charging badge). Decent brasserie but overwhelmed staff and sometimes it shows. In summary, we can always do better but it is more expensive 😉

A comfortable, cozy hotel with a lovely atmosphere close to the lake

Lovely and helpful staff plus a great location though the air conditioning didn’t work in either room despite my feedback and requests. The newer rooms are noticeably better than the older ones and we will insist on the new ones if we rebook.

All the staff are incredibly kind, with a radiant and welcoming smile on every face, which is very much appreciated. We dined every evening at the hotel restaurant where the food was very good and generous. The cocktails prepared by the waiters at the bar…. Incredible. We will definitely be back and for longer this time.

Super price quality ratio!

A second stay that was just as enjoyable

For breakfast, there was powdered milk mixed with hot water, and it was of poor quality: tasteless. Better quality milk was offered, but it was cold and not visible. We previously stayed in a hotel in Saint-Jorioz, and at breakfast, when we arrived in the dining room, we were asked if we wanted hot milk. If so, a pitcher of good quality hot milk was brought to our table: it was much better.

Overall, it's very, very good. A small detail about the air conditioning: it blows too much towards the bed, which is unpleasant. The common areas and corridors between the rooms could be renovated, but I imagine that's planned.... Too bad about the elements in the room; it's very bare. It would be nice to have a small kettle in the room, a pot for putting toothbrushes, and some tissues. Considering the prices, this type of little extra comfort is appreciated.

Very well located halfway between Annecy and the city center. Cozy hotel with a large pool and very good food with good cocktails and affordable wines. Young, professional, dynamic and attentive service. Just our room was clean but a little small. Thank you for this wonderful stay. Large parking lot close to the hotel.

Everything was perfect. Clean room, excellent breakfast and restaurant, good bar, attentive and friendly staff. The bike storage is a real bonus, as is the swimming pool. There's also a large, shaded parking area.

The free bike rental is very much appreciated. Close to the cycle path. We ate very well at the restaurant.

Everything is absolutely perfect: the room, the breakfast, the dinner, the pool area. The staff is attentive and really friendly. The only thing that could be improved is the lack of a fridge in the room.

This hotel is almost perfect, it's a shame that at this price level there is no kettle with coffee or tea, or even a bottle of water in the room. On the other hand, having stayed two nights, our room was not made up and the bath towels were left on the floor.

Very small and somewhat dated room, tiny TV, tiny bathroom with 1 curtain in the shower which for me is neither hygienic nor practical. Fortunately, the pool area is there to raise the level. It is magnificent. No tray at breakfast, forced to make several trips back and forth, not practical.

Very nice hotel but disappointed to see that you have to cross the road in a towel to access the swimming pool, the welcome and breakfast were perfect, but given the prices, the room is not at all up to standard, a room at the B&B is much classier while remaining in the mountain theme.

The hotel, food and staff is great, but our stay was terrible... we chose this hotel specifically as it was indicated online that children are not allowed in the spa area. During our stay, the entire area was taken over by screaming children who jumped in the pool, splashed water everywhere and occupied the entire pool with their floaties and played unsupervised in the hottubs. They were even tossed around by their parent who did not seem to care, while other guests were also visibly bothered.
If it still is the case that kids are not allowed in the spa area, this should be clearly indicated at the entrance and parents should be made aware. This pretty much ruined our stay at the hotel as all we wanted was peace and quiet... Away from the busy lake.
Also, the chemicals in the pool discolored our bathing suits and a silver necklace. I'm not sure if that is healthy.

Very good hotel, very simple standard room but comfortable bedding. The restaurant and terrace areas are very well decorated, we felt good there. The pool area is very pleasant. The availability of bicycles is a real plus. We will come back with pleasure.

We stayed half board, all the dinners were refined and we discovered savory and sweet dishes at the same time. Thank you to the entire hotel team.

Overall the L'Arcalod hotel was a very positive stay for us. Very nice rooms and bathrooms, the dining area/restaurant also has a very nice design and the pool area was great especially with the sauna and hot tub.

Our main issues were that for the price of the hotel per night, I would have expected in our room a small safe for passports etc at the very least, and also ideally a fridge as well to store water and fresh snacks. Even the cheapest of hotels I've stayed in have a safe and small fridge. There was enough space in our room to accommodate these extras - we stayed in a comfort/premium room for reference. I would have accepted this if it wasn't costing 171 Euros a night to stay. Also the breakfast at 15 Euros a day was also on the expensive side from other places I've stayed in the area, especially as the only proper hot food available was scrambled eggs. However the food that was available was nice quality. We only had breakfast at the hotel once because of the price - if it were 10 Euros we most likely would have eaten there every day of our stay.

All the staff were very helpful and very friendly, including the cleaners we saw every morning, and restaurant staff. I have no negative feedback or issues there - they were all great!

Very pleasant stay in a deluxe double room for a week. An outside sitting area which had a restricted view due to the property next-door was included and occasional smells from the kitchen were mildly annoying. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and the food was very good. The pool area was very good and peaceful. Would stay again but would look into a front facing room with balcony and views of the mountains. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would be an improvement.

We had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night stay in a standard room. The room is a bit small, but it's more than compensated for by the hotel's wonderful setting and the magnificent pool. The bike rental is very convenient. In the evening, we dined at the restaurant (half-board option). Excellent service, and a special mention goes to Léa, the pastry chef, for her desserts, which are as beautiful as they are delicious.

A cocktail bar by the pool would have been welcome, having to cross the road with a tray, the bartender does not serve 😭😭 Very little interaction with the staff, a shame with all there is to do in the region, on the other hand with foreigners......., very attentive. We took a so-called premium room, not agreed, garbage and delivery trucks in the morning and customers in the restaurant in the evening very noisy just below the room, not very premium all that 🤬 And finally, interior of the hotel, great, on the other hand the exterior needs a very big clean 👌 Otherwise, good establishment and very well placed to visit the region 😁

Beautiful surroundings and a holiday feeling

Disappointing overall, uncommunicative staff, very disappointing bathroom for a room described as comfortable, limited breakfast options. The exterior was very pleasant and the dining room tastefully decorated.

This is our fourth year at the Arcalod Hotel, and we are never disappointed. We choose half-board because it is good value for money, and the food is excellent and well presented. We will definitely be back!

Third time at this hotel...still a pleasure to stay there. The real plus this time is its pool and wellness area, so pretty and so well-appointed. Perhaps consider providing two types of pillows (soft and firmer)! Bravo to the team for their friendliness and efficiency.

Family-run hotel, managed from generation to generation. Recently renovated, the restaurant and rooms are beautifully designed and decorated. Fantastic grounds and pool, with very high-quality furnishings 🤩 Bicycles available, services offered, a charming and attentive owner and staff. To top it all off, very good food with a varied selection of dishes. In short, nothing negative, we extended our stay and were sad to leave! And above all, the most important: contemporary atmosphere, but you can clearly feel the atmosphere and soul of the small family structure. In conclusion, very good value for money. Very decent hotel restaurant overall, but the restaurant atmosphere is oppressive inside because it is too noisy and too cramped.

We stayed here for one night and were upgraded from a standard to a comfort room which was really lovely. Friends stayed in a standard room and the comfort room was definitely better and I’d recommend paying that bit extra if you can afford to. The pool area is gorgeous and the whole hotel and outside areas have been built/decorated to a really good standard.

A very good restaurant. It's frustrating to always find a burger, but that's the way things are these days... The other dishes were simply perfect! The pool is lovely. Perfect asset point of view

My rating is worth all the words!

The staff was very welcoming and smiling, clear in their explanations and attentive. The people who do the cleaning were also discreet, smiling and efficient. The fact of being able to use the bikes loaned by the hotel is very appreciable, however the bikes that remained available when we wanted to take them were in average condition; for my part, I cut my ride short because, among other things, the saddle was not adjustable and I was slipping.
