As always, very good.
Still as good as ever, I recommend it.
We returned to this hotel because it is close to a professional event. Unlike last year, there were some cleanliness issues in the room (poorly ventilated, dirty window and midges in front of the window). As for the restaurant and reception, it lacks a little professionalism but the current context is complicated..they make do with the means we give them but the products are fresh and very good. They deserve credit for working but not forgetting the basics of managing a hotel and a restaurant.
I must admit I'm a little disappointed. Especially with the dinner. I've been coming to this hotel for 3 years and I find the quality of the dinner during the evening stopover much less tasty than before. It's no longer a tasty meal but rather a family meal. Breakfast is also far below what it used to be. Little choice, 3 fruits fighting a duel. Too bad.
Good bedding, hot water took a while to arrive. It was a shame to learn upon arrival on Friday evening that the restaurant was closed due to a special event.
The lady on reception was polite, kind and helpful. Th restaurant food was okay but the room is a disgrace. Curtains that do not cover the window, filthy housekeeping standards and when we got up at 6am there was no hot water so we had to depart without showering. We have stayed here many times over many years as the location is perfect as we head south after arriving mid to late afternoon in St Malo but this is our last visit. Rooms were never brilliant but they are now so in desperate need of attention

I found the hotel clean and comfortable but lacked attention e.g., the steps to our room was crying for a coat of paint. The canopy at the entrance should be removed or repaired.

Although there was a problem with staffing on the morning of our departure the manager did his best to get breakfast organised for us as quickly as possible and was very apologetic about the delay.
The staff were polite and changed our room when i requested a quieter room away from the road. They could try to be a little more effusive though.
The outside area needed attention. Some of the chairs were worn and the grass needed cutting. The pool was lovely with nice wooden decking. The stairs up to our room needed repainting. The decor of the bedroom was brown and dowdy. The rooms need to be renovated.
Our supper was delicious although we noted that there was a prix fixe prominently advertised as you approached the reception which was not available.
Breakfast was fine and the restaurant was charming.
Nice place, it's a shame that you have to pay for your drinks each time without being able to have them noted on the room, when you stay several days it adds up to a lot of bills. Not practical for accounting!
The ambiance, apart from the very well-maintained pool (!), gives off a run-down impression. The facade is unkempt, the plaster is peeling everywhere on the main building and the outbuildings, the carpets are dirty in the rooms (I saw two rooms), the furnishings are completely outdated, there are only two usable electrical outlets, and the entrances to the ground floor rooms are unkempt. It is in dire need of renovation (especially considering the price of the room). The restaurant is very good!
Despite our attempts to contact us before our stay (restaurant reservation, bicycle storage, etc.), no response. We were called the same day at 2:00 p.m. to be told to arrive before 3:00 p.m., otherwise we would arrive late without reception! Finally, no catering on Sunday evening, hotel that gives the impression of being abandoned, only 2 guests, no staff on site (except 2 young people who did their best to prepare a plate for us for dinner), cobwebs above the bed, greasy liquid on the carpet at the foot of the bed, very dirty bathtub (traces of limescale on the entire shower wall), dilapidated state of the outdoor spaces, no shower for the pool, poor quality breakfast, 4-lane road at the foot of the room (impossible to open the window): avoid!
Hotel close to al 4 voies between Nantes and Rennes, but old-fashioned.

I am disappointed by the website's promise of a 3-star hotel. The value for money is NOT there AT ALL! The welcome is cordial but not warm at all. The pool does not make you want to swim (the water is "green"). The 13-euro breakfast is really overpriced, the choice is not there and the quality is lower... The room is okay despite a bottle of soap in the shower being completely empty when I arrived (I washed myself with hand wash...). In short, I don't ask for luxury and I am not a difficult customer but the price of the night and breakfast is not justified!

We spent one night at this hotel and our opinion is rather mixed. The room was generally okay, but we unfortunately found hairs in the bathroom sink, which leaves something to be desired in terms of housekeeping. Breakfast was very disappointing: we arrived at 9:30 a.m. to find almost nothing left. Everything was cold, nothing was presented, and the buffet was almost empty. We even had to take the trays out from under the furniture ourselves to be able to help ourselves. And above all, one of the cheeses was two months past its expiration date... The overall impression gives the impression of an aging establishment, lacking maintenance and attention to detail, while the price remains quite high for the night. It's a shame, because the setting could really be pleasant with a little more care.

Bathroom toilet very very dirty!!!!! Shower dirty (limescale on the glass and marks on the floor), floor with dirt (vacuum cleaner not used??!!? at least not in the corners/edges...!) Booked hotel as it said each room had AC but ot didnt work at all and when i asked for help from the front desk, he tried fix but it still didnt work. When ask if there was another room i was told tgat they are all the same.
Room not very clean (toothpaste on the bathroom mirror, leaves on the floor in the entrance to the room, dust on the coffee area in the room. The worst this morning at breakfast, no bread, overcooked scrambled eggs with brown bits in the dish and corny fruit salad with brown bananas as well, in short nothing reassuring to start the day. Apparently, a new manager is due to arrive, let's hope he can straighten out the establishment which was very good before
We know this hotel from many previous times we stayed on our way down and back through France, but have not stayed for a long time.
We needed a conveniently placed hotel whilst on our current holiday and thought we would try L'Abreuvoir again.
The stay was a frustrating mix of excellent food but incredibly mixed service.
The man who checked us in had absolutely no style or enthusiasm for the experience.
We went to our "nonsmoking " room and opened the window to let in fresh air, to be confronted with the same member of staff smoking on the balcony next to our room.
We showered and went down to the bar/reception for an aperitif before our meal and the same man looked at us with disdain and told us that the bar didn't open for 15 minutes and to go to a table outside.
He eventually appeared and begrudgingly asked us what we wanted.
I had to ask to be seated at our table. He appeared with a blackboard with an extremely limited menu du jour.
I explained that I do not eat desserts and asked if I could have cheese, even if I had to pay a surcharge. He seemed to enjoy saying "Non"
We then had to summon him for a wine list, which he had not offered us.
The meal itself was excellent and the food was tasty and well presented and reminded us how much we used to enjoy Logis values.
The staff who served us at breakfast were friendly but the breakfast itself and the area it was served in were far below the standard we would expect for 143 euros.
Top staff, top room (just don't forget to clean the toilet brush after each guest!!!!) Top food, just needs a little more variety in pastries for a substantial breakfast, fruit cut from the day before presented the next day

Rather cold welcome with a very unpleasant smell of tobacco at the reception. The room was very dusty and the decor was outdated. Breakfast the first day was very average considering the price. Bread not fresh, cheese a little outdated, scrambled eggs very dry. The staff walked past us several times without a hello, completely ignoring us. A little better the second day. The place has a lot of potential but lacks maintenance, which is a shame. The very expensive price and the 3 stars are not at all up to par.
Hello, For a three-star hotel, the rooms are dated. It's a shame that the check-in desk is a key box. We didn't see anyone from the hotel. If the lawn had been mowed, it would have been nicer.
Hotel on the edge of a highway but the room is well soundproofed. Carpeted floor, not super clean. Room for 2 for in-room amenities only 1 coffee bag and 1 herbal tea bag 😕 Friendly welcome. In short, it's not worth 73€ a night.
The Room (#8) hasn't changed in 20 years when I was working in the area at the time. Questionable carpet, desk chair ready to fall apart, bathtub water leak, cold rooms. Room located on the N137 side with the accompanying noise. I did request to change rooms to the side or back but reception refused because these rooms were already reserved. However, I didn't have the impression that the parking lot was full. Booking for an overnight stay does not mean having poor quality accommodation.
Arrived with the heating off
Lovely hotel with superb food. We started with a truffle veloute which was so tasty. The scallops with the mushroom sauce were divine as was the duck breast. I skipped dessert as it was chocolate heavy and being a diabetic made it a bit risky. The only criticism was that there was no pause between courses. Twice the next course arrived just as we put our cutlery down. Way too fast. We felt very hurried.
Room was more than comfortable we enjoyed it. Slight sour note on departure was the receptionist seemed intent on talking on her phone, firstly for another guest who was waiting for his bill and then for us. We walked off and went back as we left which was annoying. Overall very nice.

No heating when entering the room. Very cold room, had to wait a while before having an acceptable temperature. No hot water when showering in the morning. Spider web + spider under the bathroom sink. Floor not very clean.

The room was not cleaned when I arrived (except the bed). The trash can was not emptied, dead insects in the corner of the ceiling above the bed, the vacuum cleaner was not used, traces of toothpaste on the bathroom sink. The manager told me that he would clean the room during dinner, which was done in a hurry. I sincerely think that this hotel makes fun of its customers... I even took photos of the room to show the manager. Not even a commercial discount. So I cancelled the second night. The only positive point is the evening meal. This hotel is to be avoided absolutely. And yet I am a fan of Logis Hotels where I mainly go on trips all year round. I think this is the exception and it is a shame.
To have hot water in the bathroom, you have to wait at least 5 minutes by opening all the taps. In addition, there are no thermostatic mixers, so the shower alternates between boiling and ice-cold water. Breakfast at 7:05 rather than 7:00 with the set-up not finished: complicated when you have a tight schedule.

Regarding the quality-price ratio, it's not there! I stay in a lot of accommodation as part of my work and I find that the price does not correspond to the service (too high). The motel-style rooms are aging, the restaurant offers a rather cold atmosphere with a blueish light that is not warm, the meal of the evening stopover was average. For example, the fish/rice dish was very dry. In any case, nothing comparable to some accommodations which for this price offer a high-quality service.
Top management!!!! We had warned of a late arrival (10pm), the boss kept a meal tray for us, allowed us to have a beer on arrival, even though the day was over. And of course the meal was top notch!!!

Everything would be perfect if only after being covered in shower gel, if only I had been able to rinse myself with HOT water!!!!! if only when getting out of this damn bathtub, too high and with a right-angled rim, if only I had not given myself a hematoma on my knee ... if only these bathtubs gave way to showers, more practical, easier to clean and so much less dangerous. So my dear and tender 81-year-old husband did not shower! That's how you ruin a reputation.

I appreciate it’s a 3 star quality hotel , it’s so convenient just off the motorway but this years stay was met with un helpful young male staff , no smiles , room we booked ( twin ground floor ) changed to double upstairs .. dark rooms , tiny window, tired rooms , damp smell consealed by artificial shake n vac smell

The whole place needs a refurb and the exterior a good tidy up ..

The room and the hotel were dilapidated and did not meet safety standards, no smoke detector. No air conditioning. The pool was not maintained. 4 deckchairs around the pool not equipped with their cushions, the garden furniture broken. The registration of my room was wrong. The last evening and night, the terrace and the pool privatized by the hotel for a private party without being notified. We were not able to enjoy the pool when we returned from our walk at 6 p.m. and we were not able to dine because there was no room in the restaurant, which we were told in a way that was not self-conscious about the situation.
Unstructured organization in the dining room for dinner and especially for breakfast. Understaffed in the morning and the buffet is not completed which means that at 9:30 am there is nothing left and the coffee machine is empty... €15 for breakfast, the service must be up to this price.
Our stay was ok, room smaller than the one we were expecting (quadruple room not the triple). Dinner was good but service was very slow considering we had 2 very young children.
Despite the proximity of the highway, no noise pollution from outside. Avoid rooms 9 and 10 if those above are occupied because the parquet floor does not filter noise.
Non conformité de la chambre réservée par rapport à celle attribuée : chambre réservée à l'annexe, avec baies vitrées et au terrasse privativ au RDC sur Jardin. Chambre finalement attribuée, sans explication à l'arrivée malgré ma remarque : minuscule, avec fenêtre donnant pile sur l'accès piéton du couloir de l'étage, avec vis à vis depuis le lit sur le passage extérieur, avec bourdonnement du moteur de la climatisation 24h/24, installée sur la façade du bâtiment vraisemblablement sans amortissement sonore, avec coffre fort non fonctionnel car piles mortes et non remplacées, avec rideau sale et ne couvrant pas toute la fenêtre. Les employés saisonniers au check-in, bien qu'étant de bonne volonté, n'étaient tout simplement pas au courant du changement arbitraire de type de chambre et ont dû appeler par téléphone le propriétaire. Pretexte invoqué sur le changement : pas d'eau chaude dans l'annexe. Pourquoi n'ai-je pas été prévenu par téléphone, email ou SMS un jour ou le jour même de mon arrivée, afin de ne pas être mis au pied du mur et être forcé d'accepter le changement à l'arrivée ? Pourquoi n'ai je même pas été prévenu par l'employé de la réception qui ignorait ma réservation initiale? La nouvelle chambre était présentée comme un surclassement en chambre confort, ce qui m'a paru plutôt un déclassement forcé compte tenu du confort spartiate, des contraintes et des défauts de la pièce allouée d'office, et l'inadéquation avec la réservation initiale. En demandant par dépit une autre chambre dans cet étage, alors que le séjour venait d'être réglé en totalité, c'est impossible car l'hôtel serait complet me répond-on. Ce qui était faux : il y avait environ 4 à 5 clients pour 30 chambres dans l'établissement. On me dit que la chambre de l'annexe pourrait être disponible après les travaux pour la 2e nuit de mon séjour ; A aucun moment je n'ai eu de nouvelles le lendemain pour me proposer de changer de chambre et se conformer à ma réservation. Aucun message, aucun appel, aucune compensation de la part du gérant. Que dire de la piscine où un panneau affiche clairement les horaires de fermeture à 21h? A 17h30, on me dit que la piscine ferme à 18h00! la cause : nous sommes dimanche et le personnel s'en va donc la piscine ferme. Pourquoi le site internet de l'hôtel, la confirmation de réservation par email, le panneau sur site ne le signale pas clairement ? Les clients sont tout bonnement piégés et mis devant le fait accompli en allant à la piscine en fin d'après midi le dimanche. Et bien sûr, le tarif de la nuitée est le même le dimanche, pour une prestation donc moindre. Que dire du paiement par chèques Vacances : les employés saisonniers n'ont pas été formés à l'encaissement et doivent appeler le propriétaire pour procéder à la transaction, alors même qu'une note précisait le type de paiement dans ma réservation en ligne sur le site direct de l'hôtel. Au check-Out, formalités expédiées sans autre forme de remerciement, de questionnement sur le séjour. Là encore service et formation inexistants. Où sont les 3 étoiles de cet hôtel par ailleurs tenu de respecter la charte Logis? J'y ai trouvé seulement un manque total de professionnalisme, une absence cruciale de gestion et une mauvaise foi flagrante.

Discreet, kind and attentive staff. Easy parking, nice pool and garden, enjoyed the AC, comfortable beds and spacious room.
We had booked a gourmet weekend with half board (2 nights, 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners all for two people). During the first dinner, the service was very long (a priori the chef was alone in the kitchen) but it still took more than half an hour to get a carafe of water. Regardless of the wait the quality of the meal was very good. When we arrived in the restaurant on the second evening, we were informed that the restaurant was closed on Sunday evening. We were therefore forced to find another restaurant in the area. At no time during our stay were we informed of this particularity, even though our reservation included all of these services. The breakfasts were OK apart from the breakdown of the coffee machine. Finally, when we left, the amount of the second evening's meals was deducted from the bill, but no word of apology. We regularly stay in accommodations in France, and this is the first time that we are faced with such a situation.

Not a very smiling welcome from the manager who took care of our check in and check out. During breakfast, the tables were not cleared of previous customers so no room, forced to ask for cutlery etc… plus the buffet was not replenished so there was a shortage of quite a few products, it's a shame not to have the same service as the first customers when you pay the same price. Good welcome, comfortable room, spacious bathroom. Very good soundproofing compared to the very close road. Negative points: floor at the exit of the shower very slippery with a high step, door (giving access to the other rooms) not soundproofed and breakfast certainly excellent but expensive...

In the 2 bedrooms a TV that does not work. Good welcome at first glance by the person who was also at the restaurant. At the bar it's hard to say hello and the person there doesn't offer you anything and doesn't serve you... You have to wait for the person in charge of the restaurant service who was very good, very professional. Good meal. On the other hand, wait outside in the morning in unpleasant weather for the opening...and yes it says 7am...but we had to wait. Breakfast not ready at 7 a.m. you have to wait 10 minutes for fruit...And I'm not talking about the almost 10 minutes for the bill....when you're in a hurry...and to realize that the amount on the prize pool is not the right one....in short once not twice
One perfect word
For the price the room is not great. The carpet is stained, the sink is plastic, for €163 there is no bathtub. Fortunately the receptionist took our breakfast to the room for compensation. Little extra: the staff is friendly.
Second visit to l'Abreuvoir and still satisfied with the welcome, the service, the comfort of the hotel, the catering.
