Restaurant la Rose des Vents

Very expensive for what it is. We stayed for four days and it's very run-down for the price. The mattress was awful, the bathroom smelled terrible, and without air conditioning it was unbearable during the day. I don't recommend it. It's one of the few places in the area, but if we had known, we would have gone further afield to be more comfortable.

Overall, we had a fairly pleasant night, although a few things disappointed us. The hotel is decent and the staff friendly, but the bedding is definitely the main drawback. The mattress was uncomfortable and we struggled to get a good night's sleep, which is a shame for a hotel stay.

The room was quite small and the furnishings a bit dated, but everything was there and it was very clean. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was also fine.

Pleasant stay, friendly welcome, but the lack of air conditioning in the rooms during this heatwave was a real drawback. We were with our young daughter and paid the price of an adult meal for four slices of sausage, bread and butter, and a plate of pasta. This is the major downside of this establishment.

Really outdated, not very clean, and very poorly soundproofed. Definitely not recommended despite the friendly welcome, the pool, and the setting.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel, which is suitable for both children and adults. The games and swimming pool are a real bonus. The food was also very good and plentiful! Furthermore, the staff were welcoming and very friendly. We will definitely return on our next visit.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The manager was lovely and helped us out when we made a mistake with our reservation. The pool was a welcome relief during the heatwave, the outdoor area was pleasant, the bedding was comfortable, and the restaurant was a great help in the evenings. We highly recommend this accommodation and would gladly return!

The hotel could certainly use some modernization of its spaces and facilities, but it is very well located, clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff are smiling and welcoming.

The hotel is well located with a lovely view, a beautiful pool and garden, but it's a shame the pool can't be opened in the summer. Several points need improvement: the pool showers don't work, the bathroom in the room was very dirty, the ventilation system didn't work, and the insulation was poor. Breakfast was adequate, but it's unacceptable to have to pay an extra €5 for eggs. Furthermore, the decor was similar to that of Grandma Jacqueline's room in the nursing home. It needs refreshing and modernizing.

A very nice hotel, welcoming staff, and a good restaurant in the evenings, plus a quality breakfast! We appreciated the large swimming pool with its surrounding garden where we could relax on the sun loungers. A few minor points (mainly related to the heatwave): the pool remains covered even during the heatwave (I don't know if it can be opened, but it's hot under the dome), the lack of ventilation/air conditioning in the rooms during the heatwave, the duvet on the bed is much too thick during the heatwave (just a sheet would suffice), and the free Wi-Fi isn't very fast.

Great hotel in lovely quiet location, but within very easy reach of A89 & A71. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very good food. Beer/lager is only served in bottles, a draught beer pump should be considered.

The hotel is very well located in the hills above Volvic and is very close to the Volvic caves. A very friendly welcome and a good dinner made this a very pleasant stay.

Good welcome from the staff but the hotels are aging, both in terms of the rooms and the infrastructure (restaurant, games room, exterior, etc.). The hotel could do with a refresh.

Very welcoming staff, but the hotel could do with a major refresh and modernization. The rooms are not at all soundproofed: you can hear all the neighbors. On Sundays, the restaurant only offers one dish (truffade that day in the middle of August!)

Clean rooms, pleasant, and helpful staff. A kettle and cups for making coffee are provided in the room. Ideally located for hiking, trail running, and more, in a quiet area with pleasant outdoor spaces and a swimming pool.

Perfect location, perfect welcome, very good dinner, very good breakfast. Only downside: bedding too soft and room temperature excessive (no air conditioning so in this heatwave it's really hard to bear), but the welcome is really very friendly.

The room was quite small and hot. The flow rate of the bathroom sink faucet was extremely low. The TV remote control didn't work. However, the hotel staff was very friendly and efficient, and the pool was quite pleasant.

As a stopover, the dinner was very decent. The breakfast was very varied, but I think it lacked a proper espresso machine. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning in the rooms, especially during this heatwave.

Excellent stay in a quiet and green setting, close to Volvic, ideal for families thanks to the establishment's many leisure facilities (swimming pool, table tennis, table football, piano, etc.). Excellent welcome from the staff!

An excellent extended weekend of 3 nights spent at the Rose de Vents Hotel, an incredible location as well as an excellent welcome and very good menus at the restaurant. We will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff for their welcome, their kind attentions and this room with terrace which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful weather and the lovely view of the magnificent park! Superb swimming pool unfortunately not yet open in mid-May this year but it will be soon. Remember to check this point when booking. A magnificent establishment, recently taken over which is currently being refreshed but full of charm.

We had a wonderful time at the lodge. A wonderful welcome. The restaurant service was very pleasant, as well as the food excellent.

Very good address, I recommend it. If there is one improvement that can be made, it is the seal between the glass wall of the bathtub and the wall, but it is only a detail.

We really liked this hotel. Children are welcome, there is a games room, the staff (managers and morning/evening team) are exceptional, the room is pleasant. I highly recommend it. There is also a lovely terrace and a swimming pool, but during our stay they were not yet open due to the weather.

We were pleasantly surprised, friendly welcome, discreet, tasteful furnishings, relatively small but big enough room for a short stay, very good bed and everything very clean. Very good dinner in the cozy restaurant with friendly service. Very good value for money for both the hotel and the restaurant.

Hotel located in a quiet area, decent restaurant for a stopover. The bathroom could do with being redone, as could the soundproofing, but fortunately the bedding is good quality and the welcome is friendly.
