Review of our stay on August 11, 2025 We received a very warm welcome upon arrival from an extremely kind gentleman, which made our installation pleasant. The room was fine, but it was a shame that it wasn't air-conditioned. With the heat, it was difficult, but fortunately a fan was provided. However, we were very disappointed with the food. The reception from the room manager was cold, almost unpleasant, which is not acceptable in this environment. We had ordered a cocktail and a soft drink at the same time as we had placed our dinner order. After 30 minutes, still nothing, while other guests who arrived after us – and who weren't even staying at the hotel – had already been served, including drinks and starters. When our starters finally arrived, the wait had already spoiled the moment. Same problem for the main course: very long delay, no attention, and not even a carafe of water brought spontaneously. When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the waiter, he had the courtesy to go and talk to the manager about it... but she didn't even bother to come and see us. As we were leaving the room, she even tried to avoid us. We insisted on expressing our disappointment, but there was no apology: she simply told us haughtily that she would not charge us for the drinks... drinks that we never received! Thank goodness, Madam, given the circumstances. It's truly unfortunate, because the welcome at reception and the room were satisfactory, but the experience at the restaurant left a very bad impression of our stay.

Excellent stay. The room is comfortable and functional, we lack nothing, a refresh is still expected, the carpet has an unpleasant odor. The welcome is warm, the staff is helpful and it is clear that the managers are keen for us to feel good, because that is the case, we quickly feel at ease. The common areas are very pleasant, the outdoor pool although not heated is good, the deckchairs are comfortable and it is good to relax there. The spa area and fitness room are great, the opening hours are long. Small downside for the Spa in the morning which was empty, and the reception only opens at 8:00 impossible to operate. But it is a detail. The breakfast is simple but varied and good. The meal at the restaurant is divine, the dishes are really very well cooked, a very good balance of flavors. A treat! The hotel's roadside location is ultimately not a problem; there is no one overlooking it, certainly from passers-by, but I slept with the window open at night without any problems. I would definitely come back!

Cold welcome from the receptionist upon arrival, does not take the time and is in a hurry to speak. Special mention for the waitress of Indian origin in the restaurant, adorable, helpful, smiling at the top! We must keep her!!!! The two other waitresses are much colder and encourage consumption. The hotel is very well located, very beautiful view, but must be renovated, pool tiles damaged everywhere, pool very damaged at the level of the floor and walls, it looks very neglected and dirty. No safety for children, the potillon is open even at night. Very minimalist spa area. Special mention to the cleaning ladies, very smiling and working well. Power cut on arrival on Thursday August 14, no compensation, no aperitif or anything else and we showered in the dark. Error on the bill, two ice creams counted instead of one.

Very pleasant stay. Spacious room with some painting to do. Air conditioning during our stay (40°C heatwave) would have been useful. Super refreshing pool. In the evening, the outdoor restaurant on the deck served a delicious meal. Very friendly staff.

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful setting

The reception staff were not very friendly. The service at dinner did not live up to the 3-star rating and "tasty" cuisine advertised. Furthermore, due to our subscription via Weekendesk, we did not have a choice for dinner, which lasted almost 3 hours, due to poor organization.

Our room on the 3rd and top floor was very poorly insulated. Over the 3 nights we spent there, it was very difficult to sleep with the incessant noise from the nearby road.

Too bad there's no air conditioning. The pool needs to be renovated but it's very, very pleasant.

Hotel near a stop on a road where many trucks pass during the night with a crazy noise, slept very badly. Motorcycle garage ok on the phone but finally the motorcycles were left in the street, the television did not work, staff aware but did not have time to take care of it.

Quiet and spacious hotel: I will come back 😉

The hotel is a bit dated, with air conditioning in the rooms essential despite the 26°C outside, far from the heatwave. You have to open the French window to sleep. The pool floor needs repainting, the edges and surrounds need maintenance. Supposedly heated, but it's not at all. The gym has a jacuzzi with no windbreak, no privacy. The meal was very good. You'll just have to think about changing the cutlery for the cheese, that seems obvious.

Very nice establishment, with a magnificent swimming pool and arrangements that allowed us to cope with the heatwave that had set in during our stay. The restaurant team was very friendly, the quality of the catering and the cuisine completely to our taste.

No air conditioning, bathroom needs updating...on the other hand, the hotel is very well located. Very pleasant welcome.

Nice hotel, nice location. Mini bar appreciated given the heatwave. However, air conditioning is really lacking because we suffered a lot from the heat. We stayed 5 nights and given the heat, a change of sheets would have been beneficial. On the other hand, changing the towels every day was appreciated but perhaps unnecessary.

We were well received. The room on the ground floor was a little cold, and we had to use a fan heater to remedy this. The bedding was very comfortable. However, one problem for us was that our pets were not allowed.

This is my 3rd stay at the Hotel La Rivière and it's still just as pleasant. They just need to change the restaurant menu to make it perfect.

Good hotel by the side of the Truyere and short walk into Entraygues. We had a deal which included dinner and breakfast which was fantastic value. The evening meal was superb.
Another bonus was the owner allowed me to put my motorcycle in his garage. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel is in a good location with a range of facilities including a smimming pool, fitness room and sauna. The evening meal was ok, but the limited choice, which did not change during our stay, would mean that on a second night you may prefer to dine elsewhere.

From the welcome to the quality of the accommodation and catering, everything is perfect!

beautiful establishment well located, in which all the facilities work (hammam, jacuzzi, sauna, swimming pool, all with free access). pleasant room beautiful bathroom. friendly staff even if the waiters did not speak French, they were well coached. beautiful restaurant room and original cuisine (to try the marbled foie gras). correct breakfast. impeccable room and common areas. makes you want to go back

A fabulous place in every way. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna etc... allowed us to recover from our daily bike rides. The restaurant is wonderful and the staff very professional. The comfort of the room is impeccable.

A very warm welcome, the boss was really attentive to his guests! We were able to park our motorbike in a garage, and there was a lovely little place all around, perfect!
